unless you're putting really heavy things in it, it shouldn't stretch so much that there are holes. I've noticed that it's mostly that the strap just gets longer. I recommend using a smaller hook size to make sure there are no holes!
@@VivCrochetscould you possibly make an update or reel about how to possibly adjust it or a way to block it and know how long the strap needs to be. i made a bag similar but a tote/hobo leanth but its SOO long because of carrying water bottles and using it as a handbag, do you have any advice for avoiding this or preserving the leagnth
There are tutorials on how to line a bag. I always make my strap shorter than it needs to be and line bags with fabric. It's pretty easy and it stops them from stretching.
I love your patterns, but the strap were a pain. I don't usually give up, but after 3 tries, I had to. I did not understand where to place my stitches after the tog stitches. Everything looked all twisted up. I wish you would have specified exactly where the stitches should go after doing the tog stitches. I ended up using the pattern from your previous pattern for the straps ( ua-cam.com/video/ECWzJSS4OD4/v-deo.htmlsi=pcFVIdv1IFWZ-0mU ) Other than that, great video!
Wow Viv back to back videos. The bag is so cool. I'm here for it🤩
thank you!! 💕
I’m so excited to make this thank you ❤
Beautiful pattern ❤
thank you! 😊
I'm using Lion Brand 24/7 cotton and it suggests a 4 mm. Should I still use a 5mm or go with 4? Will the bag be smaller with a 4?
Linda peça, muito fácil de fazer, obrigada ❤
I did your pattern twice, I love it!
I have a question, why your line of slip stitches are straight? Mine are always tilted :S
Thanks :)
It’s normal for it to be slanted! I’m not sure why this one turned out straight. I’m guessing my tension was tighter than usual!
this is so cute!
thank you!!
Dear did you turn your work when you do it all the way around (I need an urgent reply..)
No, only for the straps! But you can if you want to!
Omg I'm acc early, I love your tutorials!
lol me too! I usually schedule them while I'm still asleep. thank you!!
can I use a polypropylene yarn for this? will the result be the same?
Yes! Just make sure it’s medium weight
Hi viv a doubt .I’ve been wanting to crochet this bag but I only have thin yarn is it possible to
You can, but you’ll need to adjust the pattern or it will end up really small !
If the bag stretches will it be opened more like each stitch hole gets bigger where things may fall out? Or it will just look looser?

My bag keeps getting wider instead of stay in a square 😭
That means you’re adding stitches somewhere! Make sure you don’t count the slip stitch as a stitch
@ I think that’s what it was!!! Hehe thanks. I’ve unraveled my work so many times😭
