I've heard that the Anime skipped alot of arcs and went anime original, thats why i just bought me the volumes of tpn i just love this series too much!!
Thank you so much for this video, I’ve watched the anime and have had the manga series sitting in my TBR for the longest time; this was the motivation I needed to finally pick it up!
@@WillowTalksBooks Its your choice, but if you truly love this series I'm sorry to say that if you watch Season 2 you will be shockingly appalled by the handling of the source material as an 'anime original' concept. Yes! I’m currently on volume 15 of 20 and I’m obsessed. I ran to UA-cam to see other people’s ideas. Cause I can’t get enough. Thanks for this video. This manga needs more hype
I've really been loving the diversity of your videos. You really bring in so many different genres and your inclusion of manga is 1. refreshing and rare amongst the booktube community (aside from the dedicated manga channels) 2. very captivating for someone like myself who has only dabbled with it. I do have vol. 1 of Promised Neverland...guess i'll give it a go now! If you don't mind me asking, do you buy physical copies of your manga? I love owning books, but owning mangas seems so daunting because of how many there usual are!
Thank you so much! If it's from Japan, I'll read it, so that of course includes manga as well. I do almost always read physical manga but yeah, same as you, the number of volumes can be daunting. I'm also a digital nomad so I can never afford to get too attached to books when I so often have to let them go eventually!
I agree on the art style. They also skipped the fun little gradient at the bottom of the kids hair, which I really just love seeing on the covers and it's one of the little things that make me feel good.
I really enjoyed this video but I feel like some visual reinforcement would really benefit the video, like when you're describing about the grace field house, edit in a panel from the manga showing the house itself. Just a friendly suggestion 😜, loved the video 👍👍
I know you're right, and I did add in a few panels in the middle of the video but 1) I'm a bad editor 2) Getting high quality manga panels is hard, especially if you read physical books. I do agree with every word you said, though, and I think about it every time I add a manga video. I need more visuals but visuals take time and effort. That was a very long-winded way of saying I'm lazy lol
They are 11 when the books begin. I am obsessed with these books and desperately searching for youtubers with the same intrests, so I was very excited in finding this! Thank you for making my day!
As soon as the kids get out of the house the path between the anime and the manga diverges so by then it's not just the animation that isn't right, it's the story.
The promised never land has a lot in common with attack on Titan a lot The walls , the monsters, the political struggle but the major difference which also makes it better of the two is the fact that tpn has a Armin as the main character instead of eren and thus peace is possible
The Promised Neverland is a really good manga. After a few mangas I do kind of lose all track of the characters. But that is my only problem. It’s not too big though, it’s fine if they have a lot of characters. But overall The Promised Neverland is amazing and you should try and keep on reading because it’s really great. :D
i’ve just finished the 5th volume and i have to say the manga is great, the art beautiful, but i also really enjoyed the anime, can wait to read the arcs that were not included in the anime
I know I am late to this video but The Promised Neverland is an amazing Manga as a series, it really got me hooked and I want to read it again! I read TPN around 2022 but I really want to read it again, it is an amazing series but I am kind of angry that they had to ruin Season 2, Season 2 of the Manga is better than the adaptation, the reason is because they have the Goldy Pond Arc whereas in the adaptation it is extremely rushed and they cut out the best parts of the Manga which really frustrated me because I wanted to see all the characters of the Goldy Pond Arc and the Arc was extremely fun to read. And the endings of the Anime and the Manga is very different, since in the Manga at the end of Volume 20 Emma loses her memory and goes back to the real world and makes a promise with the demon Lord or whatever his name is, And in the Adaptation Emma has her memories normally and she doesn't forget them at all. Strange isn't it? But Apparently that's how they wanted to plan the Adaptation I guess. But Yes TPN is a very fun Manga and will definitely read again!
I First started tpn in 2020 and watched the 1 season of the anime, after that i sticked to the manga and when i watched season 2 i was soooooo Sad, how could they ruin such a good manga and first season of the Anime and be proud of themselfs.
I watched season 1 of the anime and loved it. I started watching season 2 and 1-3 were pretty good, episode 4 was half alright and the other half was wonky, and then episode 5 is just unwatchable. I will buy the manga just because I love this series so much and S2 was such a letdown.
I've heard that same story from everyone who watched series 2. Such a shame! I personally thought season 1 wasn't half as good as the manga either so I'm happy you're turning to the manga
I heard season 2 was absolutely garbage so I decided to read the manga. But the thing is I never actually readed manga before and I only watched the anime so I had to start by reading the very first book and work my way up.
