Lots of people asking so: To get your license go to here to the link below. You need a legit driving license in your own country, then just print out the page with your passport photo on, sign with your signature, and scan back in. This page is all you need to take and it will work if you get stopped. Also, if you don't want to get stopped, just leave Ha Giang early (6am) and return late. Did a search about this website and some say it's a phishing scam. I'd be wary about giving any info to this company. I'm an American so we're one of the unlucky few who cannot drive legally in Vietnam. I've heard of methods to get a fake license in VN but I'd again be wary of anybody offering those "services."
Really cool video. I like to visit Ha Giang but also do not want doing guided tour. I want to be flexible with our time and also do not want to miss any attraction Ha Giang offers.
Unbelievable video, how big were your bags? I'm going next month but doing some cities too and just feel my baggage will be too big for do the loop on the back of a motorbike, cheers!
Thanks! Would definitely recommend leaving your big bag at a hostel in Ha Giang and just taking a small rucksack for the loop which was more than enough. The hostels are safe and you could find a locker. Have fun, it’s impossible not to!
Hey, I did the trip at the end of April. I guess parts of the road are likely to be a bit torn up at any point over the next couple of years but it's do-able especially if you're experienced on a bike (I had my first go on a scooter 1 week before this). If you don't want to drive it you could get an easy-rider where a local will drive and you sit on the back as part of a group, which lots of people also do and is super social. Andy
@@andymaxwelltravel I’m going to do the Ha Giang Loop early next year, but what’s up with the “road gonna be torn up”? They’re doing improvements on the road or is it because of the truck drivers?
@@andymaxwelltravel Can you give some more info on from where we could get this "easy-rider" going next month and some of my friend dont real own a license 😬
Yes mate. It’s super easy just go on ‘International Driving License’ online, you pay about £30 and upload your photo etc. then print it out, sign it, scan back in and print again. You only need that specific page you can see in the video. Hope that helps!
I didn’t realise I needed one before I went but you can get one before you go to vietnam. If you’re unlucky you can get stopped by police who will give you a fine, or you might get away with paying £30 for one online. I didn’t get stopped so never found out. Good luck 😁

Nice video, nice view. Village, trees. Enjoy your travelling. Keep safe. The song in restorant quiet funny for me 😅
Thanks! Restaurant singing was the best bit 😁😂
You're playing your popular western music in that mystical place!
Now I play Vietnamese techno at Xmas with the family
@@andymaxwelltravel Hahaa. That's better.

Did you ever have to show it to anyone at any point?
I only saw the most tourist traps places😢
❤❤❤❤❤ fr 🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳
I like the idea of fake international driver license, how did you do that? 😂
Seems like Bluetooth earbuds would be a better option than the speaker
Then you don't hear the crazy lorry drivers coming up behind!
What month did you go to Ha Giang?
End of April mate
@@andymaxwelltravel ok thanks!
👍
Fake international drivers license? Because a real one wasn't available or did they just tell you that's what was needed when you got the bikes?

In UK you can get real IDL from post office for a fiver, no need for a fake.
