    I made ice cream during the holidays with fruit cocktail and coconut cream. But it turned rock hard and not creamy. Tried again for the 2nd time but I placed wax paper over before placing the lid. And it came out okay. Whats your secret so it wont turn like an ice block?

      The wax paper is a good idea! What can also help is giving it a second round of whipping/beating when it is just starting to freeze. That will add more air and make it lighter. But now I may have to try your idea.

    How long do you have to wait if we put it on the back deck in January? Delicious.

      I would still suggest 5 hours minimum! So long as it doesn't freeze to the deck!!
