Вставка
- Опубліковано 14 чер 2014
- Several hours spent with the miniature trains at the Toy Train Depot in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Miniature Train Company G-16, S-16, G-12.
I could sit and listen to those guys for days...I just love to hear where people were from and all the things they have done in life. I find it very interesting.....along with their trains!!!!!
"I like to smell the engine"....RIGHT ON MAN!
That's an impressive expanse of trackage.
Driving a G16 is on my bucket list for sure.
Fond memories of Lincoln Park in Massachusetts where the train like that was a favorite of mine as a kid. My son loved it too when he was a toddler. Missing it greatly right now. Thanks for the wonderful memory.
Those diesels sound incredible. I would never tire of driving those.
i remember when it was just the narriw gauge. watched it grow. That looks like Le'Roy. Such great memories. every weekend as a kid there. RIP John.
In the early 60s I drove train 726 in Point Pleasant Beach NJ at HOLIDAY PLAYLAND--it was almost destroyed in a fire at the boardwalk---it was restored in California and now serves at VIRGINIA BEACH PARK in Miami Florida--still numbered 726
When I was like 8 or 9 mr Leroy was like my best friend at that train depot. And one time he had the old steam engine(8:55) running and at the turn around loop he stopped it(7:08) and let me drive it back to the station. It was one of the best experiences of my childhood. I’m 13 now
Appreciate the up close look at the loco. I just bought one, it's going to need a lot of work.
That thing has a very cool sound. Reminds me of a Baldwin.
Great video.
If I only won the lottery, this would be on my buy list.
That steam train was a beauty!
I rembervin the 60s when I was a child Look Park in North Hampton Mass had the same train but in a Santa Fe scheme. Was always the highlight!!!
Nice video and fun to watch. Take care now.
Alot of people who are multimillionaires spend their money on fancy cars, houses, etc. If I were that way I would have a large piece of property in a beautiful location with one of these. This is so awesome!!
Cool video. Thanks for posting it!
Thank you for the ride.

Very nicely put together video and very entertaining as well. Thanks for posting this.
That's very nice. We have the exact train in our city park painted home harware colours, but it may have a smaller engine. This is very nice.
incredible !!!very nice train !!! thank's
That's the nicest-sounding miniature diesel that I've ever heard.
Thank you for doing the speeded-up sections. Most train ride videos are sooo boring, but this one cuts to the chase. Love it!!

At those speeds, I'm surprised his hat didn't fly off and that fast braking! Wow!
Awesome train video
WE had one in my home town at a place called HAGO HARRINGTONS.... I LOVED THAT THING...
going off what he said about the number. here in Kansas City at a place called the Kansas City Northern, they have a fleet of three G16's. One train is a KCS train #31 that still runs along with a custom painted train and a MoPac train. Of the three, the MoPac is supposed to be the third to last MTC built G-16.
nice educational videos for kids

My friend lonis from Michigan him and his dad have little over$100,000 in to their. It's beautiful. Plus another friend told me he (lonis and his dad) was setting up his pole barn and a huge display with just trains.
I was there back when they were laying the original track. That was more fun than work. Nice to see they are still in business. Thank you for putting this together.
I love it..it so relaxing.chill
Oh I thought I would mention this when I was just a little boy living in Long Beach California they had a similar train that would run around the grass area in the middle of what they called a traffic circle and I remember riding on it when I was maybe three or four years old and I was very impressed by the beauty of the engine and all the machinery. I got admit even though I haven't wrote on that engine yet I do admire it whenever I drive through town and see it sitting out there. If you ever come to our town to ride the little train and see the toy train depot absolutely go visit our Zoo while you're here and also go browse around our Old Town section and see all the old shops with antiques and knick-knacks. We also have an Old Sawmill in town and I believe they filmed part of the Transformers movie there if I'm not mistaken and while you can't actually walk around it because it's fenced off someone with a drone could have a great day filming it.
Gotta stop in sometime!
Very cool! Used to have many of those at amusement parks around my house!

Very nice train and track! good job!
That train is very similar to the one they had at Qwynn Oak Park, Woodlawn, Maryland, years ago except there's had a matching "B" Unit, each powered by a 4-stroke V-4 gas engine.
I remember a red locomotive like that B&O one many years ago at Beech Bend Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Years after the train was long gone the old trackage was still there.

Nice piece of track there.. I wasn’t expecting it to be that long. You already said it could go 35mph.. I would have to try for top speed on that straight at least once.
I hate to admit to everyone what a schmuck I've been, I've lived in Alamogordo for almost three years now and it's been on my list to ride that beautiful little train but I have not yet.. I sure plan to in the spring.
I remember when they brought that steam engine in😁
Hey I’ve been there in Almagordo my dad lives and grew up there
Looks like fun:)
very good
nice train!!!

Knoebel's Amusement Park in Elysburg,Pa has 2 steam engines and 1 diesel in running order. Then one steam engine on display you can sit in and take pictures. I think their track is about a mile long. I make sure to ride at least twice during a trip to the park
That sprite is supercharged
HOLY CHIT!!! A B&O F7!!!... man, MUCH better than my HO stuff....
But the weird part is its tractor like sound
Stoneyburke yeah right
Great.
I LOVE IT
Nicey man:)
Do those diesel locomotives have real engines like the full size ones?
I love trains
I'm in tears haha
Were are these locomotives today can someone give me some insight please thank you
I WANT TO DRIVE THAT SO BAD
id love to go see that! ya I remember the train in Balboa park. at the time of writing, 2017, I think they are still running it. Balboa is smaller, but has more features. ya know, a bridge, tunnel, criss-cross. I wanna build something like this when I get rich.
Native San Diegan so I grew up with that train at Balboa Park. Yep, it still runs.

Cool...
Where could I get one of those?
I wonder if any of these came from the old Fort Worth Forest Park railroad. They look like them.
werksdesign I believe forest park is a larger gauge, but what do I know.
That looks so fun
I'm not familiar with these models, but I highly doubt that even 47 of them were assembly line style built. Especially 47 or more of the B&O Fa units. These look very custom one off units
i love to have the union pacific one for my dad
Scarlet Carter bang lasing

How big is your set up? Trackage, acreage, cost?
+BAD BIKER BENNY I was just a visitor, so I'm not sure about those details. These guys love to talk trains, though. I'm sure if you called they could answer those questions. Pulled this number off the net: (575) 437-2855
that park is a half mile long about maybe just little more. the track runs to end and back. too bad it didn't go into the zoo.
"You wanna know what them two levers are young lady?" lol
Too bad you had to speed it up twice going fast forward, because I was timing the trip. I clocked it at four minutes and thirty seconds. But it would have been longer if you didn't fast forward it.
I really wanted mini train
Interesting
What scale are these
where's this?
Boy was he thirsty
Is this similar to the Brackenridge Eagle in the other Alamo city- San Antonio?
+lp1330 I am from San Antonio , Texas. Yes it is . We used to ride these when I was a child at Brackenridge Park. Made by MTC ( Miniature Train Corp.)
What gauge is that
Very good. sorry how much it cost...? where to buy...? thank you
Great Nice Good Job
