Thank you for the video, which is very helpful. Taking out the fan and the intake helps to make some room. but it's still a little bit hard to remove and install the cable especially if you have big hands.
You still need to get underneath to remove the splash shield to get to two bolts as mentioned in this video. The shield removal is not shown in the video though.
Good video, unfortunately, my 2010 sante fe had 2 major differences. It had a hard bar that was bolted to the top of the air intake. Second, there is a frame member right where you have easy access to the underside of the air intake bracket, i have a frame cross member there. Making the only access to it either removing the oil filter or removing the radiator. I hate this car.
hey thanks for the video, it helped me alot.. i just finished replacing the starter on my wifes 16 sante fe sport, but still just clicks over and no crank at all, any other ideas what that could be? thinking about tearing all that BS out again and trying to jump the starter to make sure it 100% isnt the brand new starter, just figured id ask before going out there and doing that all again in 8 degree weather :/
2017 Hyundai Sonata all of my accessories are working, Battery is in excellent condition will not start…..did this before but after the 20th turn it started

Well done Sir. I like the from the top method instead of crawling underneath.
Glad you like it

Thanks for your job!😉✌️You help very well!
Just did this without taking off the intake. I get you can see what your doing a bit easier, but I had no problem getting to the starter.
How long did it take you?
Do you know of a video that shows procedure from bottom?
How??¿
You take off the throttle body and pull it out through the side
Gracias hermano! This really made sense, and helped me tremendously!!
You way worked perfect. Had it off and on in no time
Thanks for the confidence

Why is it so hard to find content on the Hyundai sonata 2018 a 2019 gen. Jeez
I can't get to the bottom bolt on the starter. I tried from the top and underneath. Any tips?
Took the that bolt I wasn’t supposed to out of the starter any advice
I’m sorry I’m halfway there video and this is really scary I’m taking the whole engine out thank you anyways
You know what you’re doing I’m not as good a mechanic as you my friend👍👍👍
Hey falcon , i got a question bud
yeah?
What was your actual time to do the job?
about 1-2hrs
I can’t see doing that from underneath. Seems like a lot of guesswork feeling around for bolts.
Me gustó, saludos desde Sonora México

It's the stater
I hope you see this today, we did WHat you did, but now when the car turns off it makes like a fart
Sound like maybe you left a vacuum hose connected in the wrong spot or something. But honestly never heard of this sound before
how many ours to make this?
1-2
Oh its a kia santa fe? Lol bruh! 🤦♂️ 😂 i thought it was hyundai my whoOoOole life
Great job by the way. I liked and even subscribed! Right on 👌
Kia santa fe? 😆😆😁
Great job what a crappy design just for a starter
Parts from Amazon are trash. Even from auto zone, parts from auto zone is a headache.
Do not do this. Remove the throttle body, and you can remove it without taking off the intake.
Great video but, what a giant pain in the ass. DONE with Hyundai!
Laik !!!
Not as simple as a 96 ram 1500
96 ram is easy compared to this lol
