You seem to have a great aptitude for intricate architecture. Everything about this base is well thought out and very sleek looking. From the ribbed inner design of the hangar, to the subtle lighting on the exterior of the windows underground. To the offset of the storage/production rooms. Not to mention your two ships on the landing pads look sick as hell. I love that you tucked the turbines under that overhang. Not only does it keep the eyesore out of sight, but it also means you have zero chance to slam into them while landing, even in a dust storm! I try to make stuff pretty, I'm getting a little better at it, but this is just insane. Shows me I have quite a ways to go yet.
Thanks so much man, really appreciate it!!! 😎✌️. Yeah I mean I just keep working on a design over and over and over again until I am happy with it 😎 you should have seen my first couple of bases, they were woeful lol.
@@TheGarageGamer86 and I appreciate great content so we both win....trouble is now I have to look into the back catalogue, and there is only 26hrs in a day lol.
Thanks so much dude, really appreciate it! 😎👌 Yeah alot of practice helps, I've got about 2,000 hours in SE, mind you there are people out there with 5K+ lol
Thanks mate, yeah it did take me a fair while, sometimes with this game time just goes so quickly and you dont even notice because your having so much fun! 😉
The collector array explains why your atmo miner has the rear connector set to throw out all when I print it. Very nice mining ship btw, both versions.
Is that the Aardvark Mk1? And thanks mate 😎👍. I'll update the blueprint 🙂. I think I was testing it in lunar gravity and forgot to turn the throw out option off haha
Do you mean the frames of empty blocks that I use to drill out the mountain? If so then i don't believe I have ever published those, I did publish this world though 😁
I started carving out an underground asteroid base and thought it would be a good idea to check what others have done. Let's just say the 8x16x4 block space I made yesterday doesn't seem so big anymore. 😂
@@TheGarageGamer86 Since my comment, I basically dug downwards and added a whole new level of the same dimensions. I also made sure to have a 1 block gap between floors for the conveyor system. And one small thing I learned early on. It's useful to have interior wall blocks for flat surfaces like foors (there's a side that looks like nice simple floor tiles), as they use a lot less iron than armour blocks. (Interior wall needs about 52 and light armour needs 175.)
@@TheGarageGamer86 Oh, I just stumbled across a neat idea. I was putting down an elevated walkway like in your base, and I used the space underneath to put a few batteries, then I noticed the little lights on top add a nice effect to the grated floor. :D
Same for me. Building in creative (any game) posses no challenges. Survival adds pressure, from NPCs and from a resource management perspective. Creative mode just comes off as boring and provides little sense of accomplishment.
Wish they had larger hanger doors for big builds.... always gets me when I wanna make something large. Making large custom rotor doors is quite difficult and they don't air seal.
Yeah that makes two of us! 😁👌 You can make large doors using merge blocks and such, but they are highly complicated and klang will punish you for any mistakes haha.
Fun fact: I started a new game a week ago and tried doing the same but about 3x as big, cause dreadnoughts are cool lol. Well ya see, my downfall was the fact I was playing it on my Xbox one S. So if you're ever wondering about the limits of a console, just know you shouldn't run 50 drills at a time for an extended period. It died today.🙂
Yeah SE is quite interesting in that it is like an RTS Game where it is heavily CPU Dependent, eventually even my 5800X was struggling to maintain above 60fps in my Wasteland Survival series haha
I have it on the Workshop 😁 steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2284831315 And the welding ship can be found here 😁 steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2122582496

Can you share your world's on mod.io for us xbox users. I currently am using most of your builds on my survival on Mars and would like to have a better base than I am capable of building. Same for your new series on pertan. Please
Hey man I love your builds and your videos first off. I am dying to know what color you use for the base and what armor that is in the main hanger. It looks like battered armor to me kind of but its too reflective to be battered armor. And that color isn't a default color its slightly blue. I have literally spent hours trying to recreate that color. I used your content as inspiration after returning to the game after about 9 years thanks again.
Hey mate, I will set myself a reminder and give you the codes when I get home. But yeah they are both the battered armor skin, the dark one is essentially black in battered armor, so set all the sliders to zero with the battered armor texture. But the lighter colour I cannot remember what that is off the top of my head, but will post it back here 😎👌
@@TheGarageGamer86 lol thanks I actually started a mars survival after watching a few of your videos. Its a cool place to have your main base but its depressingly empty lol Anand my rover sucks I think I went overboard.
Really nice build. The lighting was a nice effect. Consistent color theme on the base and ships, sure makes everything look perfect.
Love the base, especially the space weed in the mess hall xD
Thanks mate 😎👌 That mess hall took me a fair while to nut out lol
This was in my recommended keep up the great work you’ve earned my sub
Awesome, thank you! :)

👍 I always build in Survival... pain in the ass sometimes (i have 10 npc mods:) but... 🤷♂️
Yeah I really need to work on some NPC mods, add some more action to the game :).
Same for me. Building in creative (any game) posses no challenges. Survival adds pressure, from NPCs and from a resource management perspective. Creative mode just comes off as boring and provides little sense of accomplishment.
What mods do you run to have NPC pirates fly around that close to you by the way?
I think it is called the Air Traffic mod, it is part of the Modular Encounters mod 😎👌
