What I like about Mariah Carey is that she is unapologetically herself. She doesn’t try to appease any one. She comes across as witty, dominating and also playful in this interview and I love every second of it. She’s one of the worlds most talent vocalist and songwriters so it’s a treat when you get to see a legacy act in an interview like this.

You must have watched a different interview, because she definitely didn't come across as.. well any of those things. It seemed like she forgot to take her adderall and was just babbling on in a way that only just meets the definition of coherent.
...but I'll grant she's obviously a good vocalist and all that, what with the grammy awards and that annoying xmas song.

There are definitely glimpses of manic highs and rambling in this interview but that aside her personality and nuances have remain unchanged since she debuted. Female legacy acts don’t typically receive the same level on praise/get cut the same slack as their male peers, so I think giving Mariah her flowers while she’s here is warranted.

I think it depends on where she is on if you’re going to get clear and direct answers. 😂 As a longtime fan, she typically avoids the question or she answers but tells a long story with it that is so long, you forget what the question was.
