RIMS looks good, there are some Steps in the right direction. But i don‘t like the Sitting-Position of the Riders on the Bike. In Ride it looks way better.
I don't have a controller for my PC atm, but after playing both I can definitely say Rims racing actually felt like riding an actual sports bike even with beginner settings on. That's the insane thing.
Rims seems to actually be manufacturing bike models/parts....not just throwing copies of them in-game. That's the difference between Rims 8bikes vs 100s in Ride. Rims will have a deeper category of bikes with character-tendencies that you can control. Best way I could put it.
I really like that rims added the foot animation for shifting and more human like body movement on the bike. That kind of stuff adds a great deal of authenticity, ride looks lifeless in comparison in that regard.
its not for just the looks, body can be used in rims racing to control the bike. if that is too much for the player can be changed to automatic. i play rims for a year i win over 40 sec a head sometimes, but i set up things and what it takes every race. i started playing realistic i have a bike for every track. some bikes i only use in street races , i enjoy some bikes so much with special tuning it feels great. ppl dont like rims cause its hard and has no online. gamers always like easy games & stay away from hard ones to the point they play games ment to be for kids & avoid adults games.
Well, when you first start the game and create your character you CHOOSE between 3-4 different leaning styles!! I'm glad you pointed that out because I know by just watching this video like WOW im glad i didn't pick THAT leaning style.. lol
The exhaust sounds good for sure but the tire screech is not realistic because motorcycle tires are made to be super soft with a different compound and grip better in which makes them not screech.
I have rims racing and ride 3 . Both are great games , but I really like Rims racing , for someone like me , who doesn’t know a lot about motorcycle parts , it’s nice to be able to take parts and replace them , I feel like , one could learn a great deal about the parts they never knew about , but I’m no expert , I guess maybe the gear heads will like this feature a lot and maybe the average gamer could care less , but I like the feel of the bikes also , it feels much more realistic I would guess . As I said I wouldn’t know , as I don’t ride bikes , but I do love them and all games where you can ride motorcycles ❣️
There are some other differences; You can't ride an FZ 750 or a GPZ 900 around Nurburgring Nordschleife tourist drive on Rims Racing, but you can on Ride 4. Wish you could though, cause I would. Just saying ...
By taking a look at the reviews in internet seems that RIMS is a very nice game, perfect for people who loves bikes. Ride 4, like other older version is really challenging, especially Time attak mode. I love bikes, so I am going to buy RIMS Racing, impossible not to have it.
because it's what they have done for all the bikes, they recorded the actual sound of the bike and every modification of the bike such changing the exhaust pipe it will affect the sound
I feel like both games look really good and it's pretty much a tie. There's some things rims did better. There is some things ride 4 did better. If ride 4 and rims had a baby, that would be the perfect looking game
Rims destroys ride 4. The physics on ride 4 are shit. When im faster in corners in real life on my stretched 14r and diavel tha. In a video game theres a problem.
I like that there's competition now to get Milestone to do more with their games. MXGP always seems a reskin as well as motoGP with slight changes. I've not played any Ride games so can't really say anything about it. I'd probs take Ride over Sims just because of the physics. How much customisation is there for bikes in Ride?
Let me answer your question about Rides costumization. You can have your character have real life gear brands, such as alpine star, Rev' it and shoei to name a few. In motorcycles. There's a few version of some race bikes but all and all R class bikes are not super modifiable since they are the top performers but when you modify the regular models of bikes from stock. You get quite a few mods you can change. Like hand grips, tire compound and rims. You can also get different exhaust systems and all models can also have performance enhancements "under the hood".
I love the ride series, and due to it not being an annual release, the changes between games is more significant. As far as that customisation goes, it ends up being much of the same, not that it’s bad, it’s just not very extensive. Haven’t played RiMS, looking for opinions currently. Leaning away from getting it, but could be swayed.
RIMS sounds better especially the quick shifter and auto blipper sound when upshifting and downshifting. Already got Ride 4 so might as well give this a try, thanks for your informative video. Cheers!

I'd rather they stick with as few bikes as possible. Milestone only gets the visible likeness, a crude imitation of the sound, and a very rough idea of how a bike would handle. RiMs gets the flagship bikes of each manufacturer down very well allowing it to be the superior simulation. That's not everyone's cup of tea of course, but Ride franchise has been showing less and less effort every release.

I noticed the same thing lol. I think it was set to semi-automatic because he did all of the down shifting. But boy were those shifts perfectly timed and smooth. lol
Thats what a quickshifter sounds like.. look it up. You can literally shift that quick since it utilizes cutting off fuel for a split second to allow a clutchless instant shift.
For somebody is amateur racer which of the three mention here is the most welcome amateurs Ride 4 rims motogp 21 Another question of all tree which one have more welcome setting for choices bike not know nothing and last one of all tree which one have more friendly adjust difficulty ?
we can't really see a big difference between the two but in terms of game physics I think RIDE4 is more realistic and about the graphics on track RIDE4 I think it's better than rims racing but about the graphics around the racing rims it looks more alive than RIDE4
Thanks for the video OP. RiMS' rider movement looks terrible compared to Ride 4. Would love to see the first-person helmet view comparison. Ride 4 really nails the movement of the rider in 1st-person.
I play rims racing but what I don't like is the few choices of motorbikes and the keys on the keyboard I'm not used to using W,A,S,D. because usually I play the MotoGP 17 game, usually if you accelerate, use the A button and brake, press Z and turn left/right. that's why I don't like rims racing games. and now i play games sbk 22 and motogp 20 on laptop
The bikes in RIMS are doing some absolutely inexplicable things, jittering, sliding and bumping around the track, making you question your real-life observation of basic physics.
For me the most important thing are the Laptimes. Its not ok than you can reach Laptimes with a stock Streetbike that are somwhere around a Motogp Bike. And also the Nordschleife. Under 7 Min? Thats way from real
You can never directly compare reality and fiction. You will always have the huge difference in sense of risk, in which you will hardly have a scratch if you fall out of your chair. That alone makes a huge difference in how willing you will be to push, and even people who have never even ridden a motorcycle in real life will easily floor any bike because it has no consequence in a game.
@@Perception_ Yes that´s true! But i mean...look at the Games with Cars like GT or Forza. The Laptimes on a real Circuit with a Streetcar are way more real than in Ride.
@@Turbohayabusa100 The physics of Ride 4 has been all over the place since launch, so it is what it is. At one point they stopped telling what changes they make to the physics in the patch release notes. You just have to figure out on your own and that's it. The difference between a full on race bike and a streetbike is pretty much that one has got rake and trail settings, and the other has not. The fastests times are most often set with the streetbikes, so it's a bit of a miss that one. The other thing about the physics after all this time, is I feel they have lost track of all the changes they have made so far, because there are different physics for different bikes which is just annoying to say the least. With as many bikes as there are in this game, it's not that easy to remember every minor detail like that. Kawasaki ZX-14R 2018 can do full on launch with anti wheelie set to 1, yet the same bike in RM version will instantly flip if you try that. This is just one example.
Ride 4, no supone un peligro hacer caballitos... Si se levanta de lado la moto, se endereza sola. En Rims, es un desafío siempre lidiar con los caballitos. También te avisa sonoramente, si la rueda bloquea.
Im completely new to motorbike series. Only had Moto20 as my first game and loving it so far (still crashing at corner a lot lol). Should i get Moto21, Rim, or Ride 4. I like the motorbike to be a bit realistic as I have one in real life.
Motogp21 is kinda hard to master than motogp20. Ride 4 is good for bike enthusiast bcs they have a lot of bike available. Rims is good if you want a lil bit simulation but very few choice of bikes
Hey, quick QUESTION to anyone...I'm NOT into Bikes and etc. I'm just looking for a fun racing game with dope graphics, that's not too hard in terms of getting Bikes or doing basics/controls. That's all. I dont care about"real" bike brands and etc. WHICH SHOULD I GET.....RiMS OR RIDE4 on PS5 ?? Any input is appreciated
Ride 4 is definitely the more realistic sound bike handling graphic design and it is more fun plus customisation in ride 4 is fantastic like forza is for cars
I like the Ride 4 sounds better, but the details in rims racing is good, it looks better. The rain and texture look better in Rims racing to me.The reflectionos in Ride 4 look good, i didnt see any in Rims Racing. The Rims Racing game looks a bit dark and gloomy. The one thing i hate is that the tachometer in rims racing looks bad and make it hard to see the rpms. Is there a way to change the tach in rims to what the tach is in ride 4? If i could put the sounds and tach of ride 4 and along with the reflections and brighter sky onto the rest of rims racing graphics, it would be almost perfect.
I thought Rims was looking great, until I saw the riding physics. Pretty good for a first job, But JEeeezee they need allot of work. The guys entire leg moves with gear shifts, that's not even remotely realistic. Also................... racers shift in the opposite direction (GP-Shift), so the animation is incorrect. Ride4 doesn't even attempt to simulate the shifts, which honestly.... is probably more realistic, they're very subtle. This is just a small pick, obviously allot more wrong.
RiMS Racing is better. Texture: RiMS has vertical grass while Ride 4 only has flat grass, RiMS has cleaner road texture when raining while Ride 4 is kinda noisy; Graphics: RiMS has spectators while Ride 4 not. RiMS also has more contrast in evening day, see the riders jacket reflect the color of the sky. When raining, RiMS has water drops while Ride 4 not; Sound: you will love RiMS since it produce clearer sound. Physics: Tell me you see the movement of the rider's foot while changing clutch in RiMS
I'm playing the Ride series since part 2 and I must say that the fourth part is the most disappointing game I've ever played in the last 10 years. The huge grinding, the many unfair things inside the game (especially the track test, where you have to drive around the track in a nearly impossible time), the extreme prices of the motorbikes... there are so many negative points. Ride 2 was a lot of fun, Ride 3 too (if you ignore that the KI drivers in one race are very slow and in the next race fast as hell), but part 4 is for me really bad...
I dont understand why people have so many problem with the time attack challenges, they are easy, even the gold ones, i started playing the game 2 /3 months ago (had almost no experience with motorcycle games ) dont play everyday and already finnished the career mode final leagues in 90% AI dificulty, i dont find the time attack times hard at all, you dont need to make close to a perfect lap to make gold, when i did great laps i'd do like 3/4 seconds better than the gold time.
You should have highlighted the shadows specially in replay they look like a total joke making the bike look like it is fluctuating in the air. But in compression RIMS has good sound, I mean it is a given. It only has 8 bikes in total.

Go give it a try
Ride 4 is lightyears ahead of Rims lol, not even close. Sound might be a toss up but it comes down to personal preference
Great podcast Rims track graphics look really good but ride has a smoother look on the bike riding
😴
With all due respect..in Rims it looks like rider wants to touch tarmac with his/her helmet while hitting the apex..
Edit:Purchsed ride4 two weeks back & m loving it..
Great comparo. I like some of style of RIMs more (especially the rain scenes), but prefer the sound on RIDE 4.
ride 4 is bigger size than rims racing, but at all, ithink the winner is rims racing ? because of copy ? im not sure too, you decide
This comparison videos are fine, but they lack voice over commenting. ;-)
thanks for the advice
@@whatthevic you welcome. 😊
Maybe a stupid qeustion, but is rims racing available on ps4 or 5?
Both ps4 and ps5
In ride 4 the bike seems to has an automatic gearbox🤣
I noticed the same thing lol. I think it was set to semi-automatic because he did all of the down shifting. But boy were those shifts perfectly timed and smooth. lol
@@flyg13 true🤣
Thats what a quickshifter sounds like.. look it up. You can literally shift that quick since it utilizes cutting off fuel for a split second to allow a clutchless instant shift.
Video without first person view very well
RiMS have the Ride 4 first person replay camera, but playable.
And the animations of RiMS are so ugly, looks like a frog sitting in a motorcycle.
In RiMS when you create the character you choose between 3-4 different leaning styles. Just know that before you fully judge the game.
@@DvDPlaya I know that, and the animations still ugly.
Just MY opinion Bro. 😁
For somebody is amateur racer which of the three mention here is the most welcome amateurs
Ride 4 rims motogp 21
Another question of all tree which one have more welcome setting for choices bike not know nothing and last one of all tree which one have more friendly adjust difficulty ?
Open world and tons of bikes with customization that is what I want to see)
The crew 2 is tooooo arcady, but I still like it
Rims racing gives me thrill of riding an actual bike.....that's it
that guy on rims gets a bruise everytime he changes gears
Bloody excellent ❤️ job! I noticed you got a better lap time on rims. I thought that was a harder game?
I did practice before recording this😂
I love Ride 4. It punishes me for my mistakes because I'm a naughty boy.
in Rims rider's position is very weird, the head and upper body is waaaay to low
Which game are im able to play splitscreen ?
rims racing
we can't really see a big difference between the two but in terms of game physics I think RIDE4 is more realistic and about the graphics on track RIDE4 I think it's better than rims racing but about the graphics around the racing rims it looks more alive than RIDE4
rims rider look more alive than ride 4
Thanks for the video OP. RiMS' rider movement looks terrible compared to Ride 4. Would love to see the first-person helmet view comparison. Ride 4 really nails the movement of the rider in 1st-person.
bros blind who has the robotic static movement💀💀💀
not to metion the the delay between chicane💀
Unfortunately, that amazing first-person mode is only available in replay mode. There is no POV in game mode Ride 4.
Wdym?
Imo just because something looks good doesn't mean it is good. Ride 4 disappointed me with the physics. I hope Rims is good
It will do it ;)
RiMS is overall trash. In races after a qualifying session, you can't shift anymore. Only thing it does better than Ride 4 is the sound.
@@SilvoWhat So MotoGP is still the superior out of the 3.
@@sambeezy007 I prefer SBK over MotoGP, so for me, Ride 4 wins.
RIMS seems like a video game of biking but the Ride 4 like real biking
Hey, quick QUESTION to anyone...I'm NOT into Bikes and etc. I'm just looking for a fun racing game with dope graphics, that's not too hard in terms of getting Bikes or doing basics/controls. That's all. I dont care about"real" bike brands and etc. WHICH SHOULD I GET.....RiMS OR RIDE4 on PS5 ?? Any input is appreciated
Ride 4 of course
Ride 4 is definitely the more realistic sound bike handling graphic design and it is more fun plus customisation in ride 4 is fantastic like forza is for cars
Rims got SPARKs
I want milestone to make open world bike game, that would be brutal
Thats everyone's wish
Ride 4 win in the sounds
Thanks for your thoughts🙏
@@whatthevic Nah thanks for the reply :)
I’m literally playing MotoGP 21 right now on ps5 and the riders up the track from me are riding invisible bikes. Come on milestone. Sort it out.
what is the music intro? it's very nice vibes ✨✨🔥🔥
Check description
@@whatthevic thanks sorry, I got confused with youtube description new layout 😅
No problem😉
i think in 4 years we would have the perfect moto racing game
very nice video, great job my friend
thank you
it's Rims 1 vs Ride 4..............you tell me who the ultimate winner will be
where is first person view?
Rid4 4 good with Sitting position, Graphic , Color Shade, More Bike [less than Ride3 ] but Rim have good Customize in game. Still Waiting Ride5
RIMS seems to me the frist Game thats got the NGK turn right dont know why Ride uses the stupid car variant and not the Bike One!!!
Both look amazing! I’m gonna try Rims since its 9$ canadian at Walmart!
✌🏼😎👍🏼
Have fun!
You should have highlighted the shadows specially in replay they look like a total joke making the bike look like it is fluctuating in the air. But in compression RIMS has good sound, I mean it is a given. It only has 8 bikes in total.
RIMS customization are awesome.
Even though ride seems to be better by consensus, I feel like buying rims because I’m a bit tired of milestones games. They all feel the same. Very little effort every year
