I've been collecting for 35 years. Comics were meant to be read. I don't understand the point of sealing it into a plastic safe so it can be hung on a wall or displayed. I usually buy a frame & display it that way. I'm old school & certainly not rich.
Slabs will hopefully make it easier for my family to identify and get fmv for some of my more valuable books when I'm gone. While it's not as enjoyable as book in hand, you can read them all digitally these days.
Namor was in Marvel # 1. If you're talking about in the story... Apocalypse was born way before Namor in the comics story line, but he didn't appear in the comics before Namor. the first mutant to appear in a comic book, is Namor
What's going on with creators? It's money they are desperate to get creator's royalties when a character ends up in a tv show, game or even lego. Problem is 99% don't stick. It's a lot easier to mantle shift some one and if it ticks enough boxes management will probably let you kick out the hero we've been following for half a century. This trend is at its worst when the replacement fails and they to get kicked out. How many Spider Woman are there anyway?
