Man Cory's e30 looks so good, the meaty tires and half cage make it look like such a weapon.
Agreed!!
Well it is StanceWorks.😅
real.
13:19 - I had no idea that that front lip was dubbed "Jimmy Hill". Caught me off guard! Cory and yourself getting me hyped up to get my first E30, man. You're both spreading the love!
For non-UK viewers maybe Mike should have told where that name comes from😃😃
Hey oddbawz love ur vids, are you guys going to post anything on the S2000 build?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Hill ......UK football legend huge character with a huge chin to match 👍
I think it's awesome that you would restore your friend's car in his honor. To do something like that shows how much you truly loved him.
Man, I miss Cory. What a great dude. We swapped parts back and forth the last few years before he passed away, I believe I still have the original seats from that car as well as the Fittipaldis he used to run before the BBSs. Damn, miss that dude.
that car is more than just a material thing, that car is a testament to everybody's relationship to Cory.
South African 🇿🇦 views will love this Gusheshe build 🙌
The best cars have a story and transcend being just nuts and bolts. They become a vehicle (no pun intended) for our personalities and attitude. Ride again E30!
Mike all imma say is this is what Cory would've always wanted come the time when he had to let go of these beauties, as any good car owner does. Well done on completing this beast, I don't need to tell you to take care of it
I'll always be a fan of meaty fitment on cars.
The quality of shine and life that has been brought back into this car looks fantastic. I've done some basic correction to mine a little while ago but this is a whole other level. This car is definitely getting the attention it deserves and I'm happy you had such an enjoyable weekend with friends and family sharing it.
I swear though, every episode/the longer I'm in the discord the more you push me into liking these things too...
I couldn't stop smiling watching this! The story, filming, reveal of Cory's car detailed and sitting nice with it's meaty fitment and front lip. Love this stuff!
There is nothing like working on a car that has a personal story to it and Cory's car is certainly that for you. What a wonderful journey this car will be on going forward. Great work!! Can't wait to see the end result and that 2 minute Button Willow time fall in the future. As for your E30 - go for the S52 motor for sure!! What a cool motor. My Step Son's dream car is an E30 and this inspires me to find one and build it with him. Thanks as always Mike!!
The level of quality and detail you continue to turn out with this channel is honestly amazing man. It truly is inspiring. Keep killing it.
I don't think you're being materialistic. There's something special about being able to drive the same car as someone you love, especially if they're no longer with us.
I got my grandfather's old K2500 when he passed and I poured my heart and soul into that truck. Sometimes I'd catch myself running my hands across the steering wheel the same way he did.
Cars are great for keeping a lot of those small moments in mind, the little things you miss about a person when they're gone that often don't get talked about.
As much as I love the Ferrari videos, I get a bit emotional (in a good way) with these E30 videos. They take me back to when I still had that truck and wished I had the time and money at the same time to restore it.
Thanks for sharing this journey, Mike.
I love how the passenger was ready to go with a fire extinguisher. Classic BMW accessory. 😂
Awesome tribute to your friend :) Wonderful storytelling too!
Cory is smiling from up there. Thank you for this tribute.
God damn, that is a good looking car! Right body, right engine, right wheels, right colour 👌
Mike's videos always work wonders at motivating me when I get discouraged with my E36 project. I think it's his enthusiasm and that he's always able to break big problems into doable steps.
S52 SWAP!!! Great job on keeping Cory alive through these machines ❤
Damnit Mike, got me a little choked up. 🥹
I have NEVER seen a quart of oil handled with such care!
I feel so bad for Korys passing and it scares the hell out if me. I to am on my way out with terminal cancer. Send Cut Sent has been si good to me along with a ton of support from Dave Cordell of Hybrid Racing. I'm hoping my build comes to an end before I do. Praying 🙏
Cory had the meaty fitment dialed!
His car looks awesome after your loving touches and the cut&polish
I am very sorry you lost your friend. I believe Cory is up there smileing at you at any rate, you should be commended for fixiong the car for his brothers. It will get to live on, and it is all your fault! Please kknow that I am very proud to to watch your channel knowing what a good, decent man you have shown yourself to be
Your friend would be proud of what you did to restore his ride.
I have a f80 lookin’ @ gettin’ a e30 to daily but that’s super Dope you were able to restore your best friends ride… that’s what it’s all about, it’s the emotion connection to the vehicles we all love, cars have significant sentimental values the way they can bring us all us
Love hearing stories like these. So glad the car was saved. Specially because of the back story.. 👍
You're 100% right. Something about the older BMW's are just special. I love my 86 E30.
The old BMWs are wonderful to drive. I don't know if they are good to work on or own but the way they drive makes you feel good.
Best bummer I ever had! My 86 325e 5 speed! Never let me down! Love these things!
Love all your work Mike but the personal part to this really shows. A perfect tribute to a clearly great friend.
I love your journey. It has been quite a while since the last time any UA-cam video had something really interesting to me. I've just turned 60 a short while ago and have a very similar racy '79 wreck I'm enjoying as a project. I get it totally. Thanks for the joy.
A big came on my face the moment it fired up, always a great feeling. Also not heard Jimmy Hills chin being referenced in long time 😂
The attention to detail on this E30 build is a testament to the bond or extension of it's owner is, a car isn't just a car it's a part of who we are as it's owner, job well done.
If you can find one of his Fingerprints, you could probably make a sick Livery out of it.
M20 all day on your other e30. Indestructible, easy to work on, lighter than a M5x/S5x, and adding a 4.10 LSD is a blast on the streets (even highway work isn't bad). If you NEED more power then turbo the damn thing given the compression is perfect for turbo application.
Hey man, I haven't even watched it yet, but I inherited my best friend's Jeep Cherokee project. It he had swapped in a Kubota 4cyl Diesel. I've been working on it off and on, got it running and sorta driving, but man... It's been very hard. I wish I had a little help on this one. It's a little hard. Cheers to you. This, I'm sure will inspire me to get David Finney's Jeep finished!!!
Always liked the E30s and when I picked up one out of a field and brought it back to life after 12 years of sitting, I now know why it’s named “gods chariot” I love this car and as others have said it’s apart of the family. what a great tribute to your lost friend!
As a old school bmw guy growing up in germany my whole life, I fu**ing love the series and i can attest every word you say about old bmws. They have something special about them and they dont stop letting you feel it.
Absolutely love your story telling ability and videography. You are on another level. Thank you for this.
Jimmy Hill chin spoiler! It's been a few years since I heard that phrase... 😂 I say go for the S52, by the way.
Cars are an extension of ourselves. Cory's essence lives on in the e30
S52 is the move, especially if the opportunity presents itself like that.
This build series hit hard for me. I'm doing a similar resurrection to a friend of mine who passed to his vr swapped mk2 gti.
As a fellow e30 owner- this brings me much joy
Hey man sorry you lost a good friend but great job restoring their car to remember them. Thanks for the content
RIP Cory, Beemer brothers for life
Lets talk about that white e28 in the background... lovely car! What a cool build will be great once its all running correctly 👍
s52/s50 with s54 itbs is so good. s52 e30 used to be my dream build
I’m a VW/Audi guy but I’ve always liked E30s and Cory’s is exactly how I would want mine to like. Congrats to getting it back on the road!
Heartfelt and amazing progress. Thanks for sharing this story with us.
Dude i love my 87 325e as well been collecting parts to do my own m50 swap. Such a cool way to remember your homie
Props to you bro. Lovely gesture and epic results!
Your work keeps amazing me.
Thank you for sharing.
Heartfelt and amazing progress. Thanks for sharing this story with us.. Cory is smiling from up there. Thank you for this tribute..
Nicely done Mike. Great production value and great story. Looking forward to seeing the other builds progress, and seeing your time in AU with the K244. Keep 'em coming.
Super dope as always
Corys car looks so good. Im going to have to steal the wheel and tire specs for my 1988 bmw 325is I just bought. Great video serries honoring your friend.
Great job on the work
Keep these coming. Out of all your videos I connect and love this series the most. I feel the love in these. ❤
Looks great! Love the videos!
Truly a sentimental piece and of course it comes with your legendary follow through. Can't wait to see it on the track breaking the 2 minute mark!
Man, Cory’s car is beautiful! My dad had the exact same color e30. Started life as an automatic 89 325is… got a manual swap, h&r suspension, nice wheels, cooling system overhaul, nice aero lip (front, rear and sides) and valve adjustment. I’m sure the list is bigger but that car ran great and was super fun to drive. I wish I woulda got it from him, and still own it.
Let’s bring some more e-30 content please! ✌️ 🍻
Awesome content - again !
Love the story and everything about it. Got real feels for a white e30 now thou 😎
These types of builds are the best, doing it not only for your late friend but also his family, brings so much closure to you all! A big up to everyone involved!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Beautiful story, I’m hooked
I've just stumbled upon your channel, as a diehard og BMW fanatic, i apreciate the stuff you do to these cars. Hearing the backstory of this e30 made me want to see more from you guys. You've just earned a sub!
Thank you for such a inspirating and cool video Stance, i can speak for all of your viewers we really appreciate it and your content ingeneral. My condolences, i'm glad that you have the e30 as part of him.
Man. I had goose bumps this entire video. Truly inspirational. Corey’s legacy is an art piece and so humbling to see it carry on even better. This series is amazing, can’t wait to see more!
Cory always had an eye for design and stance. Thank you for making this video it was epic!
Fantastic writing!
Aaaah yes.. Been looking forward to this.. This is so special.. Thats a big heart you have there Mike.. Keep up the great work!
This is awesome. Good on you.. loved it
I hope I never have to go through a process like this for any of my dear friends but I can truly feel that these episodes are really special and I know Corey couldn’t be happier watching you guys bring his babies back to life and better than ever. Truly beautiful and a part of the car community that I love almost more than anything else in this world
I'm sitting here watching this video and seeing the IA Sticker and showcase coin from Summer 21 and feeling even more connected to this car and this channel. I'm so glad you got your hands on it to get it back up on going. RIP and Power Cory.
Any object with a history to tell behind is more than a simple thing: is memory and part of a human being and the people around. A UA-cam channel with soul is something else too, and your channel have lots of soul and emotion. Really enjoyed these three episodes and make me remember friends and memories... Simply, thanks
Good for the heart story sir. Keep on living that adventure
I'm reminded of all the cool projects you have up your sleeve. Thank You!
In reference to the title... you're goddamned right. My condolences to all effected. RIP "Race In Pace."
Another wonderfully inspirational video guys. Keep them coming.
Man I love your content. PLEASE POST MORE.
Dude! Love and attention shown to Corey’s e30 is awesome. I’m sure he’s so proud your brought her back for his brothers to remember him by.
Magnificent video and thank you for the content sir!!!
Great video
The result's great, track build spirit 👌
Very wholesome, car looks beautiful Mike
Car guys cars are a fantastic embodiment of them. Glad you got this running and looking great, for you and Cory’s family.
Your face ripping it on the streets says everything. Excited to see it at Buttonwillow 👍
Love this story, cant wait for the next chapter.
I have a 1 owner 325i m tech, F plate. Lache silver finished in black leather. Chick's love it even with high mileage. Bought from Bridgegate in Derby. ❤
Nice gesture! im sure Cory's family is very appreciative.
It looks soo good ❤
Looks amazing. His brothers must be so pleased
And I can’t even get a text back.. respect ❤️
Brilliant story man. I’ve watched all three episodes in quick succession. I’m sorry for your loss, but this is a fantastic tribute to your friend. Can’t wait for the next one.
Haha I’m Cory and my first car was a e30 loved it 18 years old 👋
Interesting story and nice work
Great story. For the car to swap, how about an m60/m62 hybrid with a 6speed. Not too many around but known doable and can make great east driving power that sounds amazing.
Great upload and what a way to remember your brother ❤
