Bush Pilots exploring Botswana's Okavango Delta and the Central Kalahari Game Reserve.
Stop by the Safari camps of the Delta.
Most remotely situation, and the largest game reserve in Southern Africa, Central Kalahari Game Reserve, is also the second largest wildlife reserve in the world, encompassing 52,800 sq. km.
In this episode :
Central Kalahari Game Reserve, and
Veterinary fences to protect the beef production
Edge of the Delta - Khwai River.
Follow along, as I explore the Okavango Delta, by bush plane, riding along with Ian Chamberlain, a pilot for MackAir.
In 2019, this region is in the midst of a severe drought. Join as we fly to the safari lodge airstrips, and view the Okavango Delta from above.
With Botswana's large concentrations of birds and animals, this area is perhaps one of the best places to view animals and birds in Africa. It is one of Africa's last remaining great wildlife habitat and provides refuge to huge concentrations of wildlife.

I earned my PPL in joburg, now live in California and had the wonderful experience of flying in Alaska as a tourist last year. Thanks Peter - Africa has much beauty, in the land and the wildlife. Unfortunately on this trip, I did'nt get to spend much time close to the animals, since we were flying a busy schedule. On a next visit, I'm hoping to combine more animal viewing, with flying.

I flew quite a bit round this area 20 years ago I bet it’s changed a bit. Also I didn’t really have the gps you guys have now days.
