This was the first air rifle i baught over 30 years ago in sub 12 ft lbs,and i gotta say since having a service a few years ago, its still a great rifle. Great reveiw
I have an ancient old vmach tuned TX200 mk1 that's an absolute tack driver. Sold off most of my airgun collection a couple years ago, but won't get rid of a few gems... this being one of them. Awesome video! Really enjoy your content!
What are the few gems do you have my self i love 77 not saying its better its interesting not had a tx200 so i can not say bad or good but my god its a looker😮
To be honest. I've made my TX200 Mark 3 into a Mark 2. I've fitted a mark 2 Short stroke piston and Spring. It also has a Rowan trigger which is great. The gun behaves so much better with less recoil and no loss of the sight picture.
Hey Nate, the targets go from 10 yards to 55 yards. The target is allowed to go out so far depending on the size of the kill zone, and also with the combination of the two forces lanes of standing and kneeling. For example, the smallest size kill zone is 3/8" and its max distance is 18 yards to be a " Legal " target. Most courses have two targets per lane. Your near and far target, giving you 15 total lanes to shoot. On my course we do 3 targets per lane, to keep everyone from walking so far. So, I have a near, middle and far target, giving my course a total of 10 lanes. Love my TX 200 in walnut and I shoot it every week. I shoot it indoors all of the time also, just to keep up on practicing. I just bought the HW44 pistol. That pistol is a shooter. I saw your review on it also. We are going to start shooting more pistol competitions in combination with our rifle matches in Ohio. Great video Nate.
I absolutely love my TX200 MKIII just put a Vortek tune kit in it. It's in 22cal and I've absolutely taken plenty of small game with it and pest control on our farm. It's put a many a meal on the table. Best springer on the market.
I've just bought one of these in .177 and short stroked it which I think better suits the full length TX200. I part exchanged my HW97 Stainless to help with the cost! I've added the Rowan cocking aid and trigger. I also have the HC in Beech. Its shooting well at the moment and I expect good things from it.
I can not tell you how much i love this TX200, only reason i wanna get this TX was i test accuracy with my HW97.. for the last 4 yrs.. i been shoot my HW97 at 30 yards for ten shot.. only dime side.. i been love this TX for long time.. but have to save $$ .. ✌️✌️..
Been shooting mine at comp level now for over two years had over 20k pellets still hits a penny at 60 yards in 177 . Sheffield hft stock modded internal s all after market barrel weights 11.3 ft lbs 8.44 gn,i do bench rest with it but not that often I also own a 32 year old hw77k which may I add I retired it two years agon
Great stuff as always brotha. I’ve always liked the diversity of your content. Keep plinking. Always my favorite part. Boom says Merry Christmas to Hud 🐶👊
Based on the AIRGUN DEPOT, web side price is a lot more for this version not only because of the stock the description said this one has a “match barrel “ which is better than the regular version, maybe I’m wrong I do not know but that it’s what it is in the description 👍👋
My TX200HC would be the last gun I’d sell. I’ve not had chance to shoot one of these yet but it sounds like AA have given it a slightly different tune to those of old. The reason I’ve not tried one? Well, it may tempt me to swap to the spring class in HFT competition. 😂 Awesome video, as always, Nate. 👍
So, the tx200 or the hw97k, for $1400 for the 200, you can take the savings on the Weihrauch and get it tweaked and tuned! --- but the 200 is incredible out of the box! this video really makes you think :) also Hawke vs element, I have Hawke and Vortex, but Element look great!---
Cry twice ... get the standard classic stock and cry once. My gosh that is an expensive springer. It is a treat with accuracy like that! I find the hunter carbine to be harder to cock and rougher than the full length in shooting recoil. Kind of wonder if something is wrong with my HC and needs to be cracked open for a look-see and or a tune kit. Great video, thank you.
The Hunter Carbine version has better balance IMO. These rifles are top end money here in the UK with their standard beach and walnut stocks. These laminate ones are another 300£ (ish) more. Guess it negates buying an aftermarket stock at a later time. Damn good rifles though
Just sold my TX200 and pro sport and my HW97, just keeping one gun now, my lighter Tuned HW95 in 22, done loads of comparisons over last few year's and its just as accurate as the ones mentioned. Out of the box the TXs are very good l just think there over priced.
Air Arms needs to come out with some new stuff. Slapping a nice stock on the same gun they've had for years, then charging big $$$ isn't cutting it. They could have easily improved this gun years ago by having a full loading port like the HW97 or adding a mag system like the SLR98 (but they didn't). You could buy a pcp with much better performance for way less. This is coming from someone who has owned 5 or 6 these in the past.
I hate that loading port & anti bear trap on the tx200, why I switched to HW97K & HW77K, I don't think they're worth the extra money over the weihrauchs either.
@@jimmynich4791 I've also had a few HW97 and 77's. I've had one tuned a while back and it was a pleasure to shoot. Regarding the TX bear trap, someone said you could put an o ring underneath it when the safety is pushed down. It's a rocker style safety so one side will lift up when engaged. Put an o ring underneath to keep it wedged up and the safety is always off. It's kind of tacky but it does work.
That's is one of the most beautiful riffle I ever seen, I alway want own one of this beauty myself ... but I had HW97 look very similar to it.. but I'll get as soon as I have extra money... Sir if you don't mind, info me your scope and scope mount please.. ❤❤ shooting 👍👍👍
I shoot wftf and have a tx200 and a hw97k. They are both amazing. What I would say with AA tx200 if AA is going to upgrade the rifle? Put a damn short stroke piston in the damn rifle. I mean for the price that should be a given. Instead you pay that amount of money and figure out the rifle is way to hold sensitive and now you have to pay more money and put a short stroke piston in. The only difference between the hw97k and the tx200 is the tx is easy to break down.... that's it!
You don't need to change the piston to short stroke it, some kits have an adapter for short stroking & some guns you van get a longer piston seal that effectively shortens the stroke.
When will you review the air arms PRO SPORT? you said you will review it 2 years ago im still waiting 😂😂 i want to see which one you find best. Pro sport is supposed to be the king of the bunch
When things get slow I can review it. It's hard for me to do guns that are not new because no one watches the videos. But I also want to try the King! Thanks for the reminder. I'll make a note. -Nate
@AirgunChannel people will definitely watch the pro sport video. Check out the hw97 and tx200 videos they always get views. After u review the pro sport you should do a comparison video pro sport tx200 and hw97k. You'll get views for that
👍 11 ft lbs is a nice level for springers. 12 ft lbs legal limit here in UK,but even if it was higher I’d probably still choose about 11 for a springer.
It's a beauty with a superb finish, but for half of the price you get yourself a HW97 that is as good or not even better than the TX and you skip the annoying bear trap release button and you'll have way better access to the loading port from both sides. Would you have used quality scope mounts with a fixation pin your scope would not have been sliding backwards. "Soooo smooth and not of that recoil or jumpyness associated with springers" 🤣Thats why the scope almost fall off because there is almost no recoil..... You're making sponsored b.s vids pal. The TX is a great rifle and i would like to have one but just say as it is. "Huge loading port"...., Come On!
I have the weihrauch k97 and the air arms tx200 hc the fit and finish on the airarms are lightyears ahead of weihrauch both are high quality but I take the air arms any day and time
@@sap3055 I agree, the finish from AirArms is great. I own a S410 myself but the finish from a HW is also high end compaired with other brands. Question is if the high gloss finish and fine stock is worth twice the price from a HW97. I say no and i rather skip the ratteling bear trap, the bear trap release button and have better acces to the loading port.
Weihrauch hw97k is the best springer the problem with the tx 200 is that stupid bear trap hold the cocking lever while loading no need for the bear trap

What a beautiful stock Nate and awesome accuracy! Thanks for the review on this fine air rifle. 😊

Definitely a beautiful gun…!
beautiful gun , just too damn pricey 👍🏻.
loving the videos as always 👌🏻
Yes they are pricey but you pay for quality and craftsmanship
Worth every single penny, the best of the best and nothing less
The price is forgotten long before the quality is. Your grandchildren will enjoy a rifle of this quality.
Love my HC tx200, but she is heavy though, you have to recock to put the safety back on 👍
Expensive but quality allways sells .lots of wins in all sorts of competitions . Only you can choose where you spend your money 😉
