The piece is from Kingdom Hearts II, called Passion (or Sanctuary), written by Hikaru Utada. I had lots of fun playing this. The program is synthesia ( a kind of piano hero), and the video is recorded with fraps.

@@crombold I wish that I could play this masterpiece. Can't get pass the 0:20 seconds. The song espacially on piano has something magical in it. It makes me think of alot of stuff in my life. Positives and negative things. It's just brilliant. Listen to it a couple times a year.

Almost done learning this! Finally after about two years of on and off practice and muscle memory development, a guy like me with no lessons whatsoever has managed to pull this off! Don't give up if you ever feel like it's too much, because it isn't! Just practice, learn new techniques, find what works and apply it over and over until you've mastered those 10 seconds. Then continue.
11 years later, we're all due a piano cover video... :)
@NotMadeOfManitobaFlour lol well I learned it and some other songs, played bloody tears at a talent show in school and won it. But I no longer have a piano in my place so can't say I still know how.

I believe it's the lowest price on the market for a product that won't leave you feeling like you're handling a toy; keys volume is input-sensitive. This song brings back days of when I was younger, and I'd use this game to escape the screaming of my parents. It still makes me cry. Now, I've gotten a ps2 again, and I'm searching for every game, Amazon, gamestop, any place I can buy this game
Yes I did the same thing. And to replay the scenes with my favorite characters because it was like spending time with your best friend...and they were my best friends because I had very few friends growing up 😅
You have a ps4 or Xbox one now? They have the 1.5 and 2.5 HD remakes for both of them
get the 1.5+2.5 remix for ps4, xbox one, or pc. the final mix versions of kh1 and 2 are better.
Late to respond but I'm still happy that I never got rid of my ps2 and original kh2 game. It's like an old treasure that will never be replaced
One day I just wanna show up at a hotel, take a seat in front of its grand piano and just invade everyone's ears with this song and have people yank out their phones and start recording me and putting me on youtube and get reported in the paper as the videos go viral and get a call from an agent who then asks me to accept a gig to play on TV and an audience and let my musical career excel from there. XD
Or y'know... Get kicked out of the hotel for intrusion, probably get in the papers as some kind of musical intruder and spend the rest of your life in shame ;)
In the Hotel Area of my country, the ones that have a grand piano at a reasonable distance from where most of the tourists hang out, are available to lightly dabble on. ^^;;
every time I see a grand piano at a restaurant I always take a seat & play pieces. so far I only have old wrinkly people gather around me but hey, their nice enough lol
Matt G Nah, I've done it before, they don't care so long as you can actually play. They hire people to play the piano for guests, they're more than happy to accommodate someone who plays for free!

I don't know why I have such an emotional attachment to the Kingdom Hearts series, but every time I hear these songs it makes me feel whatever it is that got me so attached to the series in the first place.

+PokemonPie169 im only up to 0:47 but the best advice i got for you is learn little snippets at a time, learn 1 bit then the next then join them, then learn the next then join again and keep going. Probably not the quickest way to learn but i can play up to 47 seconds at full speed doing that. (I've had probably 3 piano lessons in my life)

I love this Midi above all else because I can actually hear some emotion in it compared to other Midi files and comparing it to the original piece someone wrote. This one you can hear dynamics in it.

Gaming Egg Easy. The left hand is just an arpeggiated A chord and the right hand is just octaves. For the consecutive C# in the left hand I use 3-2-1 but 4-3-2-1 or 2-1 is probably better.

Iv'e been listening to Dearly Beloved, Hikari, and Passion every night through Synthesia. I can't get enough, it really is art.
These beautiful melody brings back so many memories to me. I nearly cried as I found the song some weeks ago. I think it's time to take my PS2 again to play the wonderful games one more time, so I can cry right how I used to years ago...

3-4 years (so now) is a perfect time to learn this.
Only you figure all the fingering out and try it a bit, it's actually very very easy to play like 80% of it.
And you'll learn a lot from it also. Just go for it! I think I learned this back in the day when I was 3.5 years into lessons and took about 1-2 months to learn

If find the thing that makes learning a song on the piano the most complicated, is when you see a complex looking song, most people have it set in their mind that it's going too be very hard too learn.
If you just have the confidence too learn, and try your best without thinking of it as hard, it all becomes pretty simple.
That's just my opinion though, it's different for everyone.
Learn, memorize and master 4 measures a day, it's achievable, and you'll see the progress quick and it'll motivate you

I think Passion is the Japanese verison and Sanctuary is the English version. But they are the same.

Japan an in English
an the person that sing this song is a female that was born in Tokyo Japan an now she lives in New York New York
And her name is Utada but I can't say her last name right
I still have a PS2, I make it a thing to plan KH2 every summer right before I go back to school. Even going to college it's the best thing ever.

For myself it would be the nostalgia. I began playing the games around middle school. I just played the games at the perfect moments in time. I made a lot of friends and I lost some. I had my first love and then lost her. Some of my best years I remember when I play the series. The soundtrack is just perfect. I myself will be getting the HD remakes.

Wow same here dude ... That was easily the best game in my childhood. Just the game in itself was amazing but the soundtrack added that much more to it.
In case people are confused or are wondering why, some of the green notes turn blue on the same key and vice versa because blue is for left hand and green for right hand when playing this
