Just the fact that it auto-rotates already avoids my worst fear for this blaster, but hearing meh reliability hits my second worst one. :( If reliable, I'd say it has a niche for specializing into taking out specials (or whatever niche rockets have in your ruleset) while still being impractical for the majority of players who would be better off finding a more compact way to pop rockets.
Yeah, every other missile launcher has had basically no barrel. So I wonder if chopping the barrel off of this one will help. Also going in and improving the HAMP's seal. I know that made a notable difference on the Thunderblast.
I just thought of a crazy idea. Considering that the entire back end of the gun is sort of pointless, if you modify it right you can make this into a heavy under barrel grenade launcher with a fly wheel weapon or something… that sounds bulky but bad ass
Looking at the teardown pic, if you gutted, or outright replaced, the entire front end, you could probably rig up one of those backwards-firing cylinders like CaptainSlug's Piranha. Thing is you'd probably also be better off making the trigger be on the foregrip

It's lunky, huge, hefty, quirky, and I love it. Yeah it doesn't have a lot of firepower, but it definitely has some serious shelf presence. There will definitely be some mods in the future for this thing. I can feel it. As an added note, I agree Saber is kinda weak, but you gotta admit the suit designs are pretty good.
I think the GL has a bad air seal with the hamp being slammed home. I would think a good fix would to have each tube "kiss" the pump with a o-ring. But when I saw the GL I immediately thought this needs to be HPA
The appeal isn't really about distance more than it is rate of fire. The only other thing to my knowledge that can shoot rockets this fast is a Big Salvo and those are hard to find.
That blaster definitely needs a shell overhaul since most of it is empty plastic. A new stock, handle and a shorter more open barrel would really help. Admittedly a spexbz definitely will make it more spicy.
I'm thinking about getting rid of the hamp, keep the pump grip for rotation mechanism, and just stuffing a drain blaster behind it. Sure it means you have to deal with pumps, but since I have no access to HPA or CO2 alternatives, I think it should be enough for the games I play :) EDIT: you know, I wonder if anyone has tried to design a flywheel system for demolisher rockets... 🤔 Would have to use stupid size motors, flywheels and a powerful battery, but they have tennis ball launchers that work similarly right?
The 90s there were a bunch of bazooka and grenade launcher toys where you at pump a handle to fill a reservoir then pull the trigger to fire it with similar rockets and they had great range and we're very fun I can't find anything with similar molds anymore
This thing is good but like I said on American Foams video on the GL they could've brought back reactor balls and probably could've had 2 balls in each cylinder and made it an actual grenade launcher
I want this modded to fire ballistic balls (I can get EVA foam practice gold balls from ali express that are close enough.) to make it a modern day version of the 1994 ballzooka. The charge at the front of the blaster seems like it'd be easier to hold it straight then the 1994 toy.
This gun is a lot of fun. It’s not competitive worthy though. It’s a specialty blaster, it’s bulky and not worth it’s price. But if you find one on sale and love demolisher rockets: pick one up.
I honestly like it better without the cover plates on it like you have it. All the other videos I've seen on it have cover plates that make it harder to load.
It should use a typical plunger system, with the prime and index on the back stroke, instead of indexing on the forward stroke. It's already essentially a slam-fire only blaster but it'd be much neater with a proper plunger and traditional slam-fire operation.
Drac didn't seem to be very enthusiastic about this. But that's why I watch multiple reviewers, especially on something this expensive. I'm more interested in this as an HvZ implement.
For the complete ridiculous factor, you could probably cut off and graft the rotation and pump mechanism to another blaster for an underslung rocket revolver

Maybe something like an airsoft 40mm grenade shell but with air would have worked better. The demolisher rocket is on a post with a air tank “shell” behind it that when triggered shoots the missile off.
Yeah, it’s not good for long range, but, look on the bright side, demolisher rockets are overvalued all the time, and this gives you six, and carries all of them at once. This could be a quantity over quality blaster that’s good for mid range or less slamfire. So that could work.

Just a thought but I would look into an integration of the GL and the N-strike Firefly, because it may look cool and also give you the room to put an air compressor and tank. That or just shove a titan on the back of it

As far as large blasters go, we have the Titan for elite darts, the Promethius for rival rounds, the Mastodon for mega darts, and the Fortnite GL for rockets. Why don't we have something for Vortex?

If you're in a game type that values missiles at all, then you're gonna be using a demolisher but having some heavies with like, full auto, and this thing would be pretty cool. WITH THAT SAID, this needed to be spring fire. Dedicated air power blasters just, suck. And Nerf makes this type of priming rotating barrel blaster in elite and mega, so... idk why they're SO insistent on making this type of ammo air powered. This NEEDS spring power. Fly wheels would just be OP and fun as all hell. But to make THIS blaster work, it needs springs.

You can still mod it to shoot darts. I modified the Tri-strike missile launcher to shoot darts with an RSCB and it is very powerful

Love the idea for this blaster, but it needs improvements. The rockets need to be heavier. There tumbling through the air.

Priming gear sheard right off with housing is probly the part that broke in your elite2.0 shotgun same thing happened to my.

May not be rapid fire, but a Nexus/Aeon Pro or as mentioned by others, a Drain Blaster, would work infinitely better than a $60+ pile of plastic.
