Hi Allen, you did it again.... you unlocked a tremondous amount of information with such a simple visual representation of the major scale. I tackle the modes since many years without beeing able to get music out of it... oubviously, I apply mode concept when I play music but it is never conciously. I work hard to understand this theory to free me from my usual boxes and patterns. I bought all your DVDs many years ago, but this short video help me to put more pieces of my small knowledge together to make my vision of the instrument wider and clearer. You are an oustanding teacher and musician. Thank you! (by the way, I'd be surprised to know how many of us discovered you thru xotic pedals videos... these videos were gems for me)

Perfectly explained! I will use the Allen Hinds method to explain modes to my students. Can't wait for the next video!

Absolutely a brilliant way to understand the mechanics of modes. Now....to learn how to play this without the need to "think" about it ;)

I love how the humbuckers and the shorter scale neck creates a wonderfully rich tone with what I'm assuming is his Red Plate amp ..

Humbuckers yes, neck yes, but it sounds so good because Allen is playing it. I have similar equipment and can make a similar sound BUT, I cant make it sound anything like as good as him. Dreamland!!

Why then sir, does NO, absolutely no UA-cam guitar instructional video tells us or demonstrate that we need to know, #1 the notes on the neck #2 the circle of 5th/4ths to even approach guitar theory? Not even CAGED lesson videos. All we get is "take your playing to the next level propaganda? LOL!

There is a lot of fodder out there for sure. Lots of guys can play but can’t explain.
