It seems to load the content the right way up if you can manage to log on sideways. Perhaps you can test again on your Mi Box and see what you can discover about this problem @@LiakourasMomentz

Hello! For resolution it can handle 4K 60fps. With the 1440p monitor you will be fine. I don't think you can use it like desktop and it would not replace your pc but it can do some simple stuff like browse on the Web with installing side load apps.

Hello thank you. Sorry I can't check it but I don't remember that it has anything to turn it off, but check on the settings. If you don't find it means it doesn't turn off.

Hello! With the process i showed here you can find some of the apps that you mentioned on Aptoide. I checked the XMEye and the DMSS. You can install them but they are like on the phone. I mean the view of the application is vertical but on the TV screen it's show it horizontally. I hope you understand. 🙂 but maybe you can access the account from the Firefox browser and it will work. 🤔 I am not using those apps to tell you for sure.

Καλημέρα! Το βρίσκεις από το ATV LAUNCHER η πιο πρόγραμμα έχεις, και κρατάς πατημένο το κεντρικό κουμπί πάνω στην εφαρμογή και θα σου εμφανίσει επιλογές.

@@nikoskripotos3121 Ναι από εκείνο μπαίνεις και ανοίγεις ότι έβαλες side load. Εχεί και αλλά ίδια app σαν το Side Load Launcher και αλλά που μπορείς να βρείς. Εγώ το ATV Launcher δοκίμασα και είναι οκ.
Και επίσης επειδή καμία φορά δεν τα διαγραφεί καλύτερα να πηγαίνεις στις ρυθμίσεις πάνω δεξιά και από εκεί στις εφαρμογές. Εκεί τα δείχνει όλα τα applications.

Hello if it is one with red logo, it didn't work... Some apps I see them like vertical but it shows horizontal on the TV and its a mess.
Hi - all good, until I try to open the file in FX Explorer - I get the message "Error: This device does not appear to support the Android Storage Access Framework (Error: ACTION_OPEN_DOCUMENT_TREE not implemented by device.) - so is it my flash drive that's at fault or something else????
Try to download another similar app. Just type: file manager or device manager, and check if it works. If not try to use another flash drive as the message says about the device..... Also check what type of file you are trying to open and if it is supporting it.

*sorry for late reply. I hope you figure it out already.. About how to check what files you have on your flash drive, you can check it on your pc by clicking the right mouse click and then Properties. It should say the type of file there on General. Also you need to make sure to go to video section on the FX Explorer on your Mi BOX to find the videos for example and on document section to open documents..if i remember good. 🙂

Isn't it easier to sinply install sideload launcher? It can obviously be found on the Android TVs Playstore menu.
Maybe...back then this was a way i found and i can't really check now as i don't use it anymore. 🤷♂️🙂

Express vpn you can find it normally on Google play store. About HBO MAX in my region it wasn't available but i could Side Load it with Aptoide as i show on this video. Not sure if it would work because it still says that in my region is not available and i had a message to sign in from phone or pc to put a code. Once i don't have an account i didn't continue to check that. But as i understand this is the reason you need the vpn so i think it will work fine for those 2. 😉👍

I can't check it right now as i haven't the Mi Box installed. Normally you wouldn't be able to do from the Play store but it might working if you side load it. I will try to see tomorrow. 👍

The box bringing you HD image or even 4K if possible, that why most probably.
I checked and I found that youtube was set to 1080p . I set it to 480p I think 🤔. It will help to save on data???

i just updated mi box recently and it's block install of apps every apps showing error i try all old and new but it's block everything any suggestion? i need some apps to install on my mibox 4k

and unfortunately there's no way roll back previous system i can install or recovery , sadly I have to use this mi worst update untill they remove restrictions and may be they will never remove

till date no one youtubers inform about it so they can save there entertainment period

Hello! There are apps that play live TV. I found one local that shows my local channels live TV. Search for Live TV and see what you can find.

Yes i checked from Aptoide you can install it and it works but I am not very familiar with this app. It finds the best torrent to download if I understand well. And if you need to download the movie you will have to connect a hard drive to your Mi box correct?

Not trying to be mean but...what is the point in installing side load apps? This process seems to "convert" you mi box into a computer that you can interact with on your TV...I don't get it. What is the purpose of doing this?
Yes that's why smart TVs and Smart boxes don't allow it by default. Man I can only say that some people want to use those boxes for everything 🤷♂️😅
I downloaded an app for turning off my smart bulb because sometimes i dont have my cell phone around, so this tuturials are very helpful

@@harshvardhanchauhan3907 depends on the app...If the app you will install support it then you will be fine. Just something to know is that some apps are made just for phone and on TV is gets tricky as you see the image on the side...
Tried this because it appears that there is no way to install Hulu otherwise (then decided I may not want to install Hulu, anyway).
On the Mi Box S 4K, the voice command seems broken from Aptoide & the keyboard also does not work. I guess that's a reason why this video recommends that a mouse be used.

The "normal apps" you install them with one click. (I hope i didn't confuse you). This is for apps that you can't find on google play store, as play store is smaller for TV because many developers don't make apps for TV but only for smartphones. But if you still want you can put them with the method that i showed here. If there is specific app that you are interested you can ask me if you can find on Play Store. I am mostly using UA-cam and Netflix. You can download and watch Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Crackle, UA-cam, HBO Go, NBC, ABC, BBC iPlayer, MLB.TV, and a whole lot more. *Some of the apps face geo-restrictions.
