It's the 1980s. A mysterious collector gives an unusual order to "the man of everything", Kamiński: he is to find a certain tennis racket. During the confrontation with Kamiński, the client reveals his true face - years ago he was an officer in the German army. Together with the collector, Fabian, we move back in time to the 1940s, to occupied Warsaw. Here, in one of the eateries, fate intertwined the paths of Fabian (Marek Kossakowski) with the inconspicuous waitress Jadzia (Olga Żmuda). Fabian, a tennis lover, recognizes Jadwiga Jędrzejowska as the famous tennis player before the war, who conquered the courts and the hearts of Roland Garros or Wimbledon viewers. He proposes to her to play an extraordinary match, on which the freedom and life of Jadwiga may depend... How will the match between Fabian and Jadzia go? And what will be the real stake?
