im doing interrail/eurail in august and im paying just around 800€ for travelling and acommodations (airbnb) for 4 weeks which is pretty good!! another tip would be go outside of the major season if you can!
1. go to skyscanner, and as your depart and return put: cheapest month 2. use trivago to compare prices for accommodation on different websites 3. use booking.com if you can because when you reach genius status you get discounts, or find a friend that already has it and book under their name, that way you get a discount and they get more points, me and my friends all use the same account 4. pack very lightly that way you pay for your luggage less or nothing if you only take a cary on 5. use blablacar to share vehicles with people that are going to the same place, save money and make new friends! :)
I'm in France right now wwoofing! Me and my boyfriend wanted to travel here for a low cost and wwoofing makes very easy! If you don't know what it is, basically you are working on a farm and in return get free room and board . That included food! It's awesome it's an amazing way to experience the culture of the country !! Great video thank you!
Ok your literally adorable I could barely focus this whole time cuz I was just thinking "wow she's so cute" anyways I'm helping my parents plan our Europe trips so thanks for the tips :D
If you're an EU citizen, or from some specific countries, museums and some tourist attractions are free. I'm from England and when I went to Paris it was free for all the museums :)
If any US traveler is close enough to Canada, saying Toronto, flying from there is way cheaper than most US flights. I’m from Chicago so Toronto isn’t too far or too expensive to get to and I usually see 300-500 bucks in difference.
Lol we took a day trip to Italy from France with flixbus, and it was 120 minutes late to pick us up on the way back to France. It worked out in the end cause duh more time in Italy but sometimes flixbus be like that :p
I would recommend couchsurfing. You get to know the people that life there. Next to Flixbus you can use things like BlaBlaCar. Mostly faster than Bus and not much more expansive.
Going overseas across the pool is a dream of mine, esp Europe - London, France, Tuscany, Rome, Milan, Air BnB Dracula guest hotel in Transylavania Romania, and even Israel. My dream vacay is of course ahhhh Bora Bora!
hinestky one of the best video i have watch until now i wanna say thank u so much for all this tips a,d all those informations we really would like to see u doing anothers video about this and thank u again wish u all the best
The flight to/from the US doesn’t has to be the most expensive part! You can get cheap tickets with European Low cost airlines like LEVEL (to Barcelona and Paris), Norwegian (to London, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo) and WOW air (to Reykjavik from where you can connect to a lot of WOW flights to Europe mainland). If you’re lucky you can fly for less than 200€ round trip. For sure you have to fly from an airport where these carriers fly to, like SFO, LAX, or airports near New York or Boston.
This isn't a budget question, but my friend and I are about to spend two weeks in Europe, Paris and Rome to be specific. I was wondering if its okay to wear shorts, I know it probably isn't that big of a deal, but as a someone who films and does photography while travelling, skirts and dresses aren't very practical. It's supposed to be super hot and pants seems like a drag, unless going to a church or out to a fancy restaurant, then of course I would cover up and dress appropriately. But just for walking around and exploring are shorts okay?
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate the response. I have been living in shorts this summer! I was planning on just putting a long skirt in my bag for when we go into churches or places with a dress code, and bring a light sweater to cover the shoulders. Honestly, I hope people don't mind all the tattoos on my legs, but at the same time I feel like no one really will care how I look. Thanks again for your help!
Full Metal Maryy shorts are perfectly fine in both cities :) and taking a long skirt in your bag is really practical since most churches or religious places in general (especially in Rome) don't let people wearing shorts in
Not everywhere. The airbnb where me & my family stayed was for up to 7 people (we brought some friends over even :D) and it was exactly 15.50 USD per person per night :D And we're talking about Milan. A hotel would've been at least 3 times more, and a hostel - about just as much, but without much of the comfort - the airbnb was a 3 BR 2 Bath apt.
I don't know if you have heard of trusted house sitters or not anyhow you can get free to accomadation to take care of their homes or, pets. You could also end up doing both homes and pets while they are away.
Omg I was just searching for travel videos and I saw this one and was like "where do I know that girl from?" Then I realized I watched you on Meghan Reinks' SUMMERHOOD channel in like 2012. Glad to see you're still at it!
I went to Europe for just under 3 weeks and I spent just over $3000 Canadian. My advice if you want to save money would be don't go to Switzerland :-). But actually it's so incredible and beautiful BUT OMG ITS SO EXPENSIVE. Go to Prague, it's so fucking cheap. A 0.5L beer is $2 Canadian, so that's like $1.70 American. I have no regrets about the money I spent though hahaha, so worth it.
Emiley Mack i live in prague and trust me...u can get 0.5l beer for way less than 2€. Also everything here is cheap just for the tourists but for us who live here it can get really expensive. But i'm glad u liked it here tho!:)
Nice, nice, nice. You just prove me that yes, one can do Europe in a budget. I am looking forward to ride flexi bus with my grachild. I have this group of travel agents making fun of somebody and his/her 2000 budget...tip...check delta ,open jaw pick 3 days hotel in order to price air, specially now summer time...shoulder season as well. Kudos. Yes, Become skymiles member to earn miles. Did air to Europe r/t back in March with 30, 000 miles.
hi! First of all, thanks for the great video! I'm portuguese and I was thinking about visiting some of my erasmus friends who live in other countries here in Europe. Do you recommend buying a Eurorail pass and do most of the trips by train or do you have any other tip? Also to save money with accomodation, do you think is feasible to take the long trips by night and sleep on the bus/train/whatever (yeah i'm savage lol)....? Thanks!
I would recommend using public transport in most places to get to and from airports and to get around. Try budget airlines like easyjet, transavia and ryanair (biggest airline in europe) but do not take a checked bag with you, fly with carry on instead. Most trips are under 50 euros one-way but checking a bag costs 25€. You can find flights for like 10-20€ quite often.
Alex Carrillo i have tmobile too! No dont buy it. It literally worked everywhere for maps social media etc. But of course the speeds weren't as fast as usa. For if ur not satisfied then get a 20€ for the month, when u do a euro phone plan bring ur passport!!
Y a des algériens ici? I'm Algerian and I actually want to teach English in France in like 4 years or so from now...I plan to teach English here in Algeria for one year and then move to France. I thought it'd probably be easier that way. Anyway. I love your vids they're cool n helpful *-* Hope u reach 1 million subscribers 😁 damn quite a long comment.
Great tips! Having an International Student Identity Card can also offer you tons of savings on travel. If we're talking on the subject of travel in Europe, ACPRail International offers a $10 discount on top of their youth savings of 35% for travelers aged 12 to 27.
3 weeks? Ha! Yeah if you don't have a job and mommy and daddy are paying for it. What about those of us who work for a living but can only afford to spend like a week in Europe? Not because of money either but because we're only given 2 fuckin weeks of paid vacation a year? Weird how all of these videos seemed to be geared towards college students lol
That haircut you have this year is like the best thing that's ever happened to you. Fits you perfectly
you sitting at that desk, giving me information on traveling. I feel so educated and enlightened.
Gurl that over shirt is super swagging
Haha "did I peak? Maybe." Sums up studying abroad perfectly 😂
im doing interrail/eurail in august and im paying just around 800€ for travelling and acommodations (airbnb) for 4 weeks which is pretty good!! another tip would be go outside of the major season if you can!
This was seriously so helpful!! Thank you so much for posting about studying/traveling abroad, it really encourages me to look into it!

Cheap vacation is at Bucharest, Brasov, Prahova.
If you're an EU citizen, or from some specific countries, museums and some tourist attractions are free. I'm from England and when I went to Paris it was free for all the museums :)
My flight to Iceland was $280 round trip from SFO (:
Girllll what's you do with the pilot??? Asking for a friend
I love that jacket!
just came home to europe after studying in the states. i definitely peaked.

OlsenMania that’s 8 hours away lol
Yeeey you actually went to Slovenia, Bled, I'm proud of you :)
Hey! Pretty sure that hostel website takes like way too much commission. Just use the website to find and compare hostels but book direct!!!

I'm in France right now and it has been raining a lot more so than anything. you should take pants too
Is it just me or has Airbnb been getting super expensive?

Convert your dollars to euros at TD Bank here in the US for just a small fee before and after your trip.
I'm going to France in August and I am def on a budget. Thanks for the vid homie

Sorry if that wasn't to clear. Then you would just have food, transportation, and anything else you wanted after of course the flights.

Omg I was just searching for travel videos and I saw this one and was like "where do I know that girl from?" Then I realized I watched you on Meghan Reinks' SUMMERHOOD channel in like 2012. Glad to see you're still at it!
Student Agency based out of Prague also has super cheap bus fares.
I spent 24 days in Europe in Fall 2015. Roughly $1,800 total. Airfare, transportation, accommodation, site-seeing, and food.
Heyyy tiffany really helped me alot cause i am going backpacking around europe in a few months.

You still use AOL 0.o ? My m o m has used AOL since '96.
Curious as to what you did with your bigger luggage after studying abroad if you just took a back pack when you traveled!!?
If you’re Brazil and you’re watching this… the most cheap companies to fly to Europe from Brazil are TAP Air Portugal and Air Europa
I've never stayed in a hostel before but am planning on in the future - what is a bad hostel? (:
