I am growing scotch bonnets too (in the UK), but my plants have gone droopy due to aphids!! :( Please advise!! PS- they are the size at about 2.37 in your video (1.5 months old)
I've started mine in february. You will still be able to see great results though. The most important thing is to use peat moss based soil and to not water the plant too much. Every two or three days should be fine. (Depending on the weather of course)
@@thetruthchannel7073 Hey, usually helped by the wind. But you can also help with a brush with the pollination process. :D (if indoors that is). Some peppers seem to like wearing the dried flowers like a crown or skirt lol :D
Hi new to this chilli game in the uk i have an hebenero just starting to flower do i need do anything at this point or leave it be? The reason i ask seen some clips of people using electric toothbrushs to help polinate?
Hey. People do this to either get more fruits out of the plant or to mix different kinds of plants to create a new sort. Depending on where your plant is located you dont have to do anything. However if you grow your pepper indoors a little of your help might be needed.
Do you prune your pepper plants. I'm doing jalepeños right now. I've see vids of ppl pruning them. But mine is starting to get buds at the top and some forming in the middle. Idk if it's to late to prune now.
@@0xb1_ For me it wasn’t much of a problem. I germinated one seed, planted it in soil. It grew and I would change its pot as the roots developed. I accidentally even dropped mine and it broke, so unintentional pruned. It grew quite bushy after that and we ended up with lots of chili. First it was on my window shelf but as it grew in size I moved it out on our balcony. When it flowers you just shake it gently everyday or use a brush for pollinating.
@@Brightsider1 Really? None at all? So the plant is living off of whatever nutrients is naturally in the soil? That's amazing and contradicts what everyone says about fertilizers... Might have to rethink my methods on growing these things.
U forgot to water at 1:25 didnt you 😅
That was so cute lol

Whats the size of the second pot? Looks like it needs a lot of space to grow
Great vid. I was advised to add tomato feed by the shop when I bought mine. At what stage should I apply this to the plant? Thanks!
I never used any fertilizers.
When it starts flowering. Tomato feed is high in pottasium, and plants use that to set lots of fruit.
That white car never moved....

Hi, have the same problem. Just sprey them away with sopewater. There are plenty of Video to this topic. Good luck
They need alot of sunlight and good soil temp
Neem oil works also
Ladybirds helped me, they love chomping on aphids. go catch some !
I've started mines today any tips I'm also in the UK

Keep them warm, they don't like low temperatures
spiderdude2099 they don’t like being ‘chilly’............. I’m sorry. I’ll see myself out.
Hi how are your plants?
This was cool
Love that vt
Qual a litragem do último vaso ?
Wow I love this video!! By the way is it normal for the flowers to fall before the pepper starts forming?
Thank you! Yes, unpollinated flowers happen to drop.
I thought they are self pollinating it says that all over the internet any opinions thanks

Welche Sorte war das?
Is that normal when the leaves aare down sometimes
Gerda Kakaop what time of the day because that’s normal at night
I started my scotch bonnet plants and the flowers started growing then the flower part fell is that normal or am I missing something
How long did it take to fully mature?
It took about half a year.
What medium is that? Peat moss based or coir?
A peat moss based medium.
When I pick a pepper from the tree, how long does it take to grow another one?
Depends on the season. In mid-summer it takes about a month.
Whyvdoes the plant beside it is smaller

Tino if u want it to be more bushy than u should prune it
At what point did you top this plant? Cool video by the way.
Cool thanks 😊
Were there a lot of fruits on the plant?
In my experience a scotch bonnet plant really produces lots of fruits! Definitely very productive.
@@itssara5785 Are they easy to grow?

@@itssara5785 Ah ok thanks for replying
Did you have any issues with aphids?
None. At least during spring, summer and fall. Some of my plants (not the one in the video) had problems during winter tough.
Справа это халапеньо?
Do put any fertilizer during the growing stage
No, only water.

Cool
bro time-lapse pic interval time.🙃 am also planning to take time-lapse of plants.
Good luck. I take a picture every 2 minutes.
Is that a scotch bonnet
Yeah it is.
No, it's not.
I think I so
Sometimes they look wierd
Looks like a yellow Jamaican mushroom pepper, not as hot as a Scotch Bonnet but a similar shape.
I think Yellow Jamaican Mushroom Pepper. The plant looks to be annuum vs chinense based on one flower per joint vs multiple flowers per joint.
Would I be able to grow chili’s in 15c degree weather or is that to cold?
Depends. You could try the Manzano Pepper. That one should work with those temperatures.
Kyanne peppers grow at about 14c
Hey guys! Watch my new chili growing time lapse video here: ua-cam.com/video/3nJVrgVSc0w/v-deo.html
La bisnaga no cambio en nada jajaja
This plan should have been proven to yield more production instead Angie was spent growing the plant tall instead of producing food
Were they hot chillis
Yeah. Above average.
Is it a Habanero?
Looks like pepper not chili
lets get fun with aina it’s a scotch bonnet
@@0Moh oh.. Thanks for correcting me heeh..
