Stay safe everyone ❤️
I had exactly the same thing. It was November 2019. I had what they thought was the 'flu, then it morphed into double pneumonia (in both lungs), then I became inexplicably worse. I would wake in the middle of the night, not able to breathe. I was chronically ill for a month, then I had a relapse in January. When that had passed, I literally went to work, then passed out on the couch every night for 6 months. I've never had it confirmed, but I found it interesting that every doctor and nurse that I had contact with fully suited up with masks and gloves before they became common. This was 4 months before lockdown in Canada, and the medical profession definitely knew that something was afoot before we did.
Glad you spoke about getting your vaccine. I had AZ too. There is a test to see if you have anti bodies of Covid. If it’s possible to try and get one and see! That’s if you want to know lol! 😊 x
@@becka4 if you are asked to as part of a study or for your work, you can still take an antibody test after having the vaccine: www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-antibody-tests/coronavirus-covid-19-antibody-tests
there are different types of antibodies produced by the vaccine and the infection itself, you can test for either, so it should still work. just ask an expert ;)
I think people were simply surprised because Estee is only 30 so wasn't her time yet, here in UK. She must have some other condition that qualified her to get an early vaccine.
Why would people ask why you are getting vaccinated? It is such an obvious answer. Not only are you protecting yourself, but also your community. Did you ever check to see if you had the antibodies? I think that I would be curious about that. Anyway, happy that you are vaccinated.
I think it's just because in the UK we are getting the vaccine in age groups and most people her age won't have been offered the vaccine yet so maybe people are surprised by that?
You know how you see those memes where you don’t know how to socialise after being in isolation for so long. Well I met a new hairdresser and was going to handshake her . The abruptly stopped lol 😂
Oh boy....um, I'd not be giving high fives to folks who vaccinate. It's dangerous to do so. Does anyone not read the Vaer's website or the other multiple websites that track the side-effects of the jab...plus we have zero idea what the long term effects are. My husband and I both have clotting disorders so we will not vaccinate per our doctors advice. Talk to your own doctor, but no one should be pushing the vaccine, esp not an influencer. People are actually having awful side effects and it's not a small amount of people.

@@RyansBookshelf If you're high risk, fine, take it. If you aren't, then you should really consider not taking it. Have you heard of Bill Maher? Will he need the boosters, will he need to be re-vaccinated? There is zero info out there. And the vaccine isn't FDA approved. He took the vaccine and got Covid. Are you obese, what are your Vit D levels? Do you have type A blood? These are the three main markers, along with age, that make one higher risk. Esp the first 2. Have you read about Eric Clapton? Probably not. Tawny Kitean, Hank Aaron? The media is silent on these deaths,/cases but most people who are paying attention understand what's going on. In America, our CDC has said that 4,000 have died of the vaccine since mid April(it's much higher...we don't trust our CDC)and when the Swine Flu vax came out, 83 died of the vaccine and the CDC pulled it because they thought 83 deaths was too many. I tell people to check with their doctors and not get their info from CNN, instagram, Twitter, Facebook...which is where 16-50 yr-olds tend to get their info. Terrifying. NO one should be telling people to get the vaccine. IT's NO one's business.
@@tuesttresbete It's between a doctor and the patient. No one should be bragging about it. Have you looked into Eric Clapton, Hank Aaron, Bill Maher, Tawny Kitean...that's just a few. In America alone our government is saying 4,000 have died of the vax since Mid April. The number is much higher...no one with a brain cell trusts our government reporting agencies. With the Swine Flu vax 83 died and they took it off the market because 83 deaths were too many. My hubs also had cancer and has checkups every 3 months. His doctor advised him not to take it due to his clotting disorder. He said that in good conscience he couldn't tell him to take the vax. That is terrifying. If you're high risk, then go for it. Between the numbers getting vaxxed, those of us who've already had the virus and have natural immunity, we should be all set to go. Right? Actually, I think the vax will cause long term harm...a lot of people think that. Why? Because the media and government is being very sneaky about reporting deaths and severe reactions and will say nothing about long-term safety. but how could they? IT wasn't tested long-term. I don't understand why more people aren't concerned about the whole thing in general. The virus ain't going anywhere...we will need to learn to live with it...with a fully vaxxed population of not.

I had the same COVID situation while working in Japan at the end of 2019 ( was tested for the flu and everything), such a relief to put a name to it because one of my bosses didn't believe me when I told them how bad I was feeling... Mind you who could've predicted this would be our future?! So glad you're doing better now! 😊
I had Covid around the same time as you. My GP did a home visit as I was so fatigued I couldn’t get out of bed, I couldn’t smell or taste anything and I was constantly coughing. The GP said you have a new strain of flu and there was nothing she could prescribe apart from rest and lots of fluids. It’s only when the coronavirus started that I realised what I’d had. I was sick for a month and I’m still tired now!
I had gotten sick in January 2020 and it lasted for MONTHS. I had to get inhalers and prednisone and all kinds of stuff. So yeah I believe I had Covid before everyone started to really talk about it and quarantining.
Hi Estée! Hopefully you can get home to see your fam soon. Ontario is a shit show right now... I’m in Kingston and I just can’t wait to get my vaccine. Love to you and Effie 💓💓💓
In the U.S. we can get a Covid Antibody test to see if we did have it. Now that you've been vaccinated (Yay!!!) it's a mute point I think, but maybe others who wonder if they've already had Covid would be interested?
Interestingly covid vaccine does not produce the same antibodies that a natural infection does, so an antibody test would work. The problem is that after this length of time there may be no antibodies left from a natural infection anyhow
If you get a bad fever after your vaccine, everyone it's good. It means you've had a robust response and are developing strong immunity. It's more common for young people to experience a fever and nausea.
Literally last January me and my colleagues were so sick, it felt like flu but wasn't and it wasn't letting up and we are convinced that we had covid 😫
I had it last Jan/Feb before we knew too. I felt awful, lost all sense of taste & smell & it was horrible. I've had the first vaccine, I'm immuno compromised due to my RA meds.
Same thing happened to me ! Definitely had COVID in January of 2020 (before it was known about in the US), and then got it again in December of 2020 and knew for sure. Glad you recovered and got the vaccine!
Ugh I know exactly what you mean, but luckily I wasn't as sick as you. Doctors in the Netherlands tend to be really... Laid back. I called them with a fever over 40 degrees, which had NEVER happened to me. Like, I NEVER get symptomatic flu, even when there's a flu epidemic. The most I usually feel is tired and stuffy for a day or two, I just sleep it off. I was fucking terrified, I had never experienced anything like that. The cough was so bad I would cry when I woke up because I was so exhausted from it. And I had this really bad, disgusting nasal drip into my mouth. I stayed coughing op mucus and tasting the nasal drip for MONTHS. And every time a month would pass, the doctor's assistent would say "well, viruses can do that! nothing we can do!" 🙄 Covid testing wasn't a thing yet here when I got sick, it was in February. At some point I just became convinced I'd had covid. I tweeted about it and a friend of mine texted me saying one of her family members was part of a medical study about when covid actually started circulating in the Netherlands, and her family all tested positive for antibodies. They had gotten sick one after the other, after Christmas 2019. Their grandparents had just returned from a holiday in China and they were most likely the ones who brought it in. And they had the exact same symptoms as me. So, there's that. 😐 I felt completely awful and terrified at the time, but yours was way worse 😣 I'm glad you know now!
Girl YES. November of 2019 I swear 100% I had COVID. I get sick so easily so I thought it was a normal, but I was literally waking up in the middle of the night not being able to breathe and it lasted for two months. The worst.

The fatigue and brain fog is still lingering, and I’ve only just recently built back the muscle I lost. My bf ‘s case lasted a month longer than mine, but he had less symptoms. It’s a crazy disease.
It wouldn't work now she's had the vaccine because that would give her antibodies
@@emmo4765 oh right! 👎
*England. Wales are accepting calls from 30 and overs now. Maybe even those in their twenties now?
England is behind the rest of the UK
Northern Ireland is now on 30-34 now but think its the only place that far in the uk
Wales is vaccinating people in their 20s i’m 24 and having my jab on Wednesday
@@annnak12 Well done but my comment was about Estee and she is in London.
The Nue fragrance is the only fragrance I buy and I am never ever tired of it - this things is medicine
It is seriously sooo nice! Wish I had discovered it sooner :)
@
Estee you absolutely did the right thing by being vaccinated even if you've already had covid!!! Do ur research people ooof
.... take it because you are the research!!
@@pippaDlightful lol huh ?
@@pippaDlightful no
But it’s not being offered to under 40s in UK yet so not sure how she got it!
Could you share your experience with laser and broken capillaries on the face? Would love to know about that
Why would people ask why you are getting vaccinated? It is such an obvious answer. Not only are you protecting yourself, but also your community. Did you ever check to see if you had the antibodies? I think that I would be curious about that. Anyway, happy that you are vaccinated.
I think it's just because in the UK we are getting the vaccine in age groups and most people her age won't have been offered the vaccine yet so maybe people are surprised by that?
Because we have strict age criteria to ensure everyone gets their shots fairly.
you dont protect your community , you still can infect others if you are vaccinated
if you are from sydney australia then you would know why i was shocked for a second when estee said she was going to 'the ivy'
You know how you see those memes where you don’t know how to socialise after being in isolation for so long. Well I met a new hairdresser and was going to handshake her . The abruptly stopped lol 😂
So glad you got the vaccine and shared it!!! YEEESSS, I knew there was a reason why I've been following you for years.
We stan a pro-vaccine influencer
Oh boy....um, I'd not be giving high fives to folks who vaccinate. It's dangerous to do so. Does anyone not read the Vaer's website or the other multiple websites that track the side-effects of the jab...plus we have zero idea what the long term effects are. My husband and I both have clotting disorders so we will not vaccinate per our doctors advice. Talk to your own doctor, but no one should be pushing the vaccine, esp not an influencer. People are actually having awful side effects and it's not a small amount of people.
@@nikkivenable3700 I've actually done plenty of research, thanks. It's important to promote getting the vaccine because as many people as possible will need to have it to protect people like you who are unable!
@@nikkivenable3700 side effects are WAY better than dying from COVID!! Sincerely a cancer patient that appreciates all of my fellow caring human beings that are getting vaccinated to keep me and other people safe (:
The virus ain't going anywhere...we will need to learn to live with it...with a fully vaxxed population of not.
omg thanks so much for filling us in about the mystery illness you had before the pandemic! for so long I was wondering if it could have been it.
Love you so much Estée, always so good to see you 💛
I re-watched your Vlogmas from 2019 after COVID made her debut, and I was listening to your symptoms and I was like "OH SHIT Estee had COVID!!!" You poor thing. Anyway, had to comment immediately, commencing with the rest of the video now. Congrats on receiving the vaccine! :)
I looooooooove your vlogs, I haven’t missed one. You’re so funny and real and pretty and quirky
I’m having a 6 month micro needling treatment once a month . I’m excited to see if improves elasticity! So many ppl swear by it
I feel like our old Estee is back
I was also so sick in December 2019 - January 2020. I’m convinced I had covid - was coughing until I was sick so often and then ended up getting prescribed an inhaler.
Same timeline for me. In hindsight I wonder if it was COVID. Scary!
absolutely beautiful estee!! so jealous of your skin!! 💕💕💕ps. thanks for always motivating me to keep making content!
Glad to see you getting back to normal life and feeling good 💗
Thank you for talking about the vaccine! I just got my 2nd shot of Moderna in the US. Dealing with a slight fever and achiness, but totally worth it for sure. Such a relief!
Yea i didnt realise that not much youtuber spoke about covid until someone mention in the comment 😅 Glad you’re doing great Estee 👍🏽👍🏽
As someone who've recovered from covid back in feb, i feel you. The energy drain, no taste and smell was so bad. God
Ooo 😍 love the second pair of glasses! Warm tortoise 💞
We love a vaccinated queen!!!
💕
I remember when you were sick back then, that was Covid? wow! It's so nice to see you out and about again, doing things, meeting people! I just got my 2nd shot and I am feeling optimistic!! :D thanks for the vlogs, Estee!:*
was wondering how younger people get it already? is it because of work or being more at risk
Loved this vlog & seeing you with Amelia & how cute is Effie 👌🏻🥰🐕🥰
Thank you for speaking so positively about the vaccine! I had the same side effects after it as you but I’d much prefer that over Covid!!!!
Thanks for showing some streets) i love England it is so classy and beautiful ❤️
The streets are so beautiful when the sun is shining! 😍
England is disgusting
thank you for always brightening my day✨
I cannot tell you the number of times I burst out laughing watching this video
MAJOR GOOD VIBES! I LOVE IT
So fun watching you in your videos! You make me smile. 😊
I had Covid last summer - still sick now with its nasty sister Long Covid. It’s messed with my heart, reactivated old viruses e.g glandular fever and caused relentless fatigue. Stay safe peeps.
Sending you so much love! Keep safe ❤️
You seem really happy and enjoying life. Love the vlog ❤️
I knew it! I was thinking about how sick you were the other day back then with the “lung” infection thing. I was curious if it was Covid or not. Glad to know now it is. Glad you were and are okay!
I was soooo thrilled last week to get the vaccine here in BC, hopefully it won't take too long for the second jab to be available.
I always love seeing the Mews in London. Just wish I could afford to buy one. :))
So happy your vaccinated. Effie looks gorgeous after her bath and I bet she smells delicious too.
Her bath hair is too cute! 💕
Watching your videos feels like coming home.
Also, you read my mind when you put the glasses back on, I did want to see them longer lol 👓👌
so jealous of the cool painting you found 😍
Love these kinda vlogs, thank you Estee ☺️
Did you take the antibodies test and it showed covid?? Glad you’re feeling better!
Heavenly Father I pray that you keep the person reading this alive, safe, healthy and financially blessed Amen💫
many blessings to you ❣
I'm not of the praying persuasion, but appreciate this nonetheless. Thank you 😊
I know I had it Jan. 4th last year. Seems it spread very fast after Thanksgiving/Christmas holiday travel. The maple/walnut fudge looked so yummy!
I can’t wait till things open up in Ontario again and I’m qualified for getting vaccinated. I wanna be feeling good like Estée is 😭
Wow so crazy to see London going back to normal life. I hope we can all be there soon. We can do it 💪
It's great! It should have happened months ago. Time to move on with life.
I knew it! I was so sure you had covid. I'm glad you recovered and wasn't too afraid to get the vaccine.
Those 2nd glasses are amazing
I love them! Thank you💕
So nice Estée :) glad to see you happy happy!
Can you please do a review/ thoughts about your laser facial? Thank you!
Love love love that picture you picked up! X x x
So special ❤️
Love your new spec’s🥰
If you get a bad fever after your vaccine, everyone it's good. It means you've had a robust response and are developing strong immunity. It's more common for young people to experience a fever and nausea.
Loving the vlogs
Loving these vlogs!!!! Thank you girl
Literally last January me and my colleagues were so sick, it felt like flu but wasn't and it wasn't letting up and we are convinced that we had covid 😫
So happy You posted a vlog ♥️
I had it last Jan/Feb before we knew too. I felt awful, lost all sense of taste & smell & it was horrible. I've had the first vaccine, I'm immuno compromised due to my RA meds.
I wish the peeps that said ‘that’s such a Leo thing to say ‘ would be my pals. Glad you’re well💚✌🏼🌙
to keep the pastel in place, you might want to apply a spray so it 'sets'
Same thing happened to me ! Definitely had COVID in January of 2020 (before it was known about in the US), and then got it again in December of 2020 and knew for sure. Glad you recovered and got the vaccine!
It is recommended to take paracetamol before and after you get your vaccine to avoid the desagreable flu symptoms like fever and headaches
And every time a month would pass, the doctor's assistent would say "well, viruses can do that! nothing we can do!" 🙄
Covid testing wasn't a thing yet here when I got sick, it was in February.
I’m so jealous of the uk 😩😩😩
I also had COVID in December 2019, if I had known I wouldn’t have gone back to work when I still felt so poorly
I was the same with AZ. Fortunatly I had it on the weekend so was over the worst before I had to work on the Monday
"I think its special soap" haha nope, just soap, but marketing really works eh? :')
Girl YES. November of 2019 I swear 100% I had COVID. I get sick so easily so I thought it was a normal, but I was literally waking up in the middle of the night not being able to breathe and it lasted for two months. The worst.
