Vanagon Instrument Cluster Fix

Replaced the old instrument cluster ribbon cable with the Go Westy replacement kit.

What kind of screw driver did you use to adjust the tach RPM? Do you remember if you turned clockwise or counterclockwise
Heya Dominic, I wish I could answer that question for you. I have not adjusted my tach yet.
How can I just remove the lenses so I can clean the dirt that has been collecting behind them for the last 38 years? Great video by the way!
Should be able to access anything you need by removing the tach and speedo from the back.

+RecArt Yes it does. The O2 and the Volt sensor both stay on in my Vanagon, but that's the same as before due to my Subaru conversion.
excellent, thanks for the quick reply. I got the kit in front of me and doing as much research as possible before taking the cluster sheet out... not too confident if u know what i mean :)
+RecArt Understandable, in pieces it looks overwhelming, but once you get going it all falls together. What year is your Vanagon? That makes a big difference.
1990 carat. Got it all sorted and it works like magic. :)
