The dogs are actually not worn! The washer is just set on delicate cycle, so the agitator moves slower than on a normal wash. The agitator dogs were replaced when he first got it.

Great video, noisy timer, shifts into spin while draining usually indicates the motor coupler is on it's way out.

i know that can happen if high speed agitation wasn't used at first if the machine is old

This is incorrect, shifting into spin while draining indicates the neutral drain pack is worn out inside of the gearcase (transmission).
