In my opinion in the mens physique division that Terry won a huge role played that he visited them a lot asking for feedback and showing how much he really cares. At the end of the day judges are humans and they have a favorite person in their mind. In the open division that person is Derek at the moment
they won't pick him again, even if he brings the best !! so what he did to respond to that robbery , makes sense
If I went to Hadi, I would be calm on stage until the end, but I would just compete in the Arnold Classic.

Back then Leverone was making $30 from every signed photo. He'd pull $15 - $20k cash in a weekend from that alone in the 90's which was alot of money back then. That's not including the prize money too for 2nd place. You tell me you wouldn't be happy with 2nd.
More so, in Big Ramy's absence, What Hadi brings to the sport, is another part of ther world (Middle East) that the IFBB can only get to through athletes of Hadi's origin and quality as an athlete. Hadi is a channel to the Middle East. To get to Olympia and lose to what disputedly should've been his? Tell me you wouldn't feel robbed.
I love Leverone but he didn't make any impact to the sport that Ronnie, Flex, Ray, Cutler, Jackson already didn't. Hadi on an international scale attracts more fans from the Middle East. Why would you play along with the IFBB a) knowing what you bring to the sport b) knowing you were the best on the day? Would you not feel you're being robbed?
If Derek had a midsection, and better conditioned quads then ok but I say good on Hadi taking a stand for what's fair in a manner that didn't harm anyone. He simply was not going to be a puppet.

For someone who really liked Hadi and personally had him winning, this definitely made me loose some respect for him. No matter what, thinking that it wasn't close between him and Derick is pure delusion and can't really be classed as a robbery. Both of them had strong points and it was really up to the Judges to decide which category takes priority.

Everyone was so uncomfortable ! , Brandon calling to him then the look on Samson’s face. I felt so bad for Derek, you could see how awkward it was for him. As fans it's an uncomfortable moment for all of us that's now documented forever.

This is disappointing especially considering that Derek had so much respect for Hadi. This was a very big moment for Derek and the Hadi’s lack of sportsmanship really didn’t do much to advance the sport and camaraderie between the athletes. I really hope that Derek still enjoyed the spotlight and didn’t let this phase him.

I remember the '99 Olympia when Flex Wheeler was announced 2nd and he turned his back to the crowd for a moment and when they presented him the 2nd place medal he took it off and told the crowd that he was #1 and back then that was a bad look.
I feel bad for him. Not because he lost, but because once he calms down he's going to regret this unsportsmanlike conduct for the rest of his life. He'll be rationalizing this moment to people until the day he dies.

But yea, Hadis reaction alone is why he is never winning again. The IFBB politics will just not allow it, especially in such a subjective sport. Hell, Big Ramy lost his title for missing a guest posing. Tough shit.
That sucks in that it may likely taint what could be the most amazing thing in Derek's bodybuilding career, but the memories of it as well in that his happiness brought out the worst in someone. You can tell he's genuinely crushed. Damn. Very disappointing to say the least.

It’s notable that all of the coaches (except Derek’s) had Hadi winning. The decision was obviously about more than physique. Which is of course the history of the competition. Hadi did himself no favours walking off stage. The IFBB have found their new Jay Cutler, which is what they were looking for.

@@trollololol69 Olympias are won in all sorts of ways and for all sorts of reasons. Derek looked good but to dethrone the reigning Champion requires exceptional outperformance. In my book he didn’t outperform to that level. His rear biceps was a clear winner, but he lost every front shot and side shot also. I am sure he will be a good ambassador for the owners of the competition as he is a lovely guy and a great competitor. And in that respect as Olympias go this one was not as controversial as others.

I was agreeing with the judges prior to the result, Derek Lunsford won it. Whatever Hadi feels might be sadness or something, but it's disrespectful to the others to just leave the stage like that, especially when the result wasnt really that crazy. As I said, even myself thought Lunsford won it ahead of the result.

I'm American, and I thought Choopan should've won (it was close, but his muscularity and conditioning from the front beat Lunsford's better back and structure). However, stomping off stage like this is very poor sportsmanship. No excuse. He probably ruined his chance of ever being Mr. O again.

I actually saw hadi practicing this walk off stage, he looked incredible and he nailed it on the day!
It wasn't good, but I think he stayed because of Derek and chose the last moment as a chance to protest. I think he was hearing Kai's and especially Kevin's voices in his head.
Maybe he felt crying after the loss it's hard when you are very good on stage but on papers you got marks that you don't deserve

I think at that moment his emotions were getting the better of him, so he decided to exit the stage. Given the situation I'm honestly not upset about him leaving stage.. He felt robbed and that was his raw reaction
He's not a judge, and whether or not he got robbed (I had Dauda winning), his reaction was childish and disrespectful, not only to Lundsford, but to the sport as a whole. It was incredibly unprofessional. And if he had any chance of ever winning again, he just blew it, because if it's another close one, no way the judges are going to give it to him.

Robbed would mean it was a massive difference. Unless you have no eyes, it clearly at worst was a close call. Hadi beat him in symmetry/shape and muscularity. Hadi won't two poses, and had a bit better conditioning, clearly not enough. @@user-wi5cd8kz4d

Derek is a fantastic ambassador and looked simply outstanding. I think the hype created from his training updates weeks out coupled with the current potential war with Iran left Hadi without an option but to lose no matter how amazing he looked. He will never win again unfortunately because its not only about bodybuilding. Well done Derek. Sorry Hadi, you did look amazing.

He's not a judge, and whether or not he got robbed (I had Dauda winning), his reaction was childish and disrespectful, not only to Lundsford, but to the sport as a whole. It was incredibly unprofessional. And if he had any chance of ever winning again, he just blew it, because if it's another close one, no way the judges are going to give it to him.

HADI has participated in such competitions forty times and has been competing in mr olympia since 2019 and there are competitions in which he has been 3rd and 4th. I think that behind his behavior lies a psychological behavior caused by the effort he has given and that this preparation process is difficult and psychological effects and the proliferation of negative comments on his championship on social media. remember that the diets they apply while competing at this level are so difficult that it may make it difficult for them to act rationally, and if you have so many championships on you
I think if we try to empathize before judging, we can understand how HADIN feels. just as we do not have the same point of view, not everyone is the same and we cannot expect the same behavior.
I would be emotionally torn to shreds. I hope he's doing okay.
Edit: I think he did over-exaggerate, but everyone deals with stuff differently. He had lots of praise in his home country for his win last year, and many people talked about how 2022 may be the beginning of a winning streak, cementing his place in the history of a sport he loves.
