Sugar cubes used to be common when I was a kid. They cost more so mom only got them when she was hosting one of her ladies groups. Us kids loved the leftovers because they were like candy.

@@alkruzins1168 ironically, it is very close to where the Berlin Wall and no-mans land once was. The location where it was erected was kind of powerful.
As a Jewish follower and descendant of survivors, I'm so grateful for you showing the Holocaust museum. It's so important to learn from history, especially these days when antisemitism and other forms of hate are so rampant. Looking forward to more travel vlogs
I'm going to Riga next month for about 3 to 4 days. Looks like a good 6 hours is needed to be at the Ghetto Museum. I've been to Auschwitz, Mauthausen, and Theresienstadt (visited Theresienstadt when the communist government was still in power in Czechoslovakia). All of them have splendid memorials and exhibits. I never went to an open-air ghetto museum yet. As for the food market, looks like you need a day just to roam around there and take in all what is there. I booked a stay in the Old Town. Looking forward to Riga.
Loved the market Jord......we do not have that kinda thing in the states! So wish there were more like it here. Those veggies looked absolutely flawless! Flowers...ahhhhhh! Gorgeous...Loved it Jord, thanks for the contemplative content!! I love your exuberant positive attitude...so refreshing in a person so young! Keep them coming!
I went to Riga in June and was really impressed by the Holocaust Museum, which I hadn't heard anything about. This is the first video about Riga I've seen where someone featured it. Thank you for sharing.
We were on this cruise with you We also had a wonderful day in Riga going to the market and touring the city. We also loved your performance on the ice. You're so talented.!!!
Seeing you go to the holocaust museum was really amazing to see. My great great grandparents were deported to Riga from Germany where they were killed in Biķernieki Forest.
That was really terrific. I’m glad you went to the Museum. It’s an important thing to do. I worry that younger people don’t really understand why we fought in WWII. Good for you. Interesting VLOG. Hugs from Houston
I’m glad you have such a great friend to enjoy your time on and away from the ship! I would have cried at the museum also! I also find that time period interesting. I’m glad you got blueberries for your oatmeal! What a spectacular view definitely worth 7 euros!!
Glad you had a great time in my city, also it was a bit weird watching how you were amazed about the buildings because I see them on a day to day basees and dont get it hahahah
How much food from the market can you take on board. This blog had me in tears also I am a fan of that period in history also. You are just so cute love watching your blogs
Thanks for your video. You make us feel that we are traveling with you. A chance to see many places that some of us have never been to. Looking forward to all of your travels.
Riga, looks so beautiful, and so glad you had a good time there. The flowers and fruit stands looked awesome, and so glad you were able to bring your blueberries on board.
Amazing brief view at this city, hope you come back and check it more out next time. It would have been probably cheaper for you to pay the tickets via card at the entry. Also we only have bank owned atm's so no sketchy companies.
I LOVE all these ports you are getting on Voyager! Of course Gab was on the bus...you two need your own tv show. I agree with the Holocaust era, it speaks to me too. And I also notice "Angel Time", especially 11:11!
Ah great timing, I'm off to RIga next week! (Riga 2 days, Tallinn 4 days for Rammstein concert, then Helsinki for 3 days). Guess I'll avoid the restaurant with the hopeless waiter!
I have been dozens of times in Riga, always have wanted to visit the holocaust museum, but never had the opportunity. I will most definitely visit it the next time I go and will go to Latvian СССР museum as well ,(It was opened once again very recently, it’s the building behind you 8:00 )
Thank you for sharing your visit to the holocaust museum. I will never have the chance to get there but honestly felt the overwhelming sadness through your video. Thank you again.
1st of all, you look great in lavender! This is the 1st time I've ever heard of a church charging an admission to go inside...how weird! I have yet to visit a holocaust museum and I know I'd be a blubbering mess when I do have to opportunity to go! 222...angel number! What a beautiful city and happy you saw it with Gab! Keep em coming, mahalo!!!
I have been planning to go Riga, but I did know there is also holocaust history. Younger I was interest to see German Nazi concentration camps like Auschwitz history. But then I went to see Belgium own concentration camp museum and that was too much for my little heart. I don't think so that I can anymore visiting these places. Even this part of history we shout never forget and learned from it.
This was my favourite travel vlog you've done I think - such a good mix of activities and things to see. Riga looks lovely. I haven't been there, but it gives me vibes of Germany.
I loved this video so much. Yes I cried my eyes out because the holocaust breaks my heart and soul💔 I just will NEVER understand how humans can be so cruel to other humans😢😢😢 Thank you again Jordan for sharing your adventures with us❣️❣️❣️
So I'm assuming that even as crew you are subject to the same restrictions as passengers regarding fresh flowers, fruits and veggies - ie not allowed to bring them on board?
Phew....I finally made it through over a years worth of videos (I started with your quarantine before your Adventure sign-on). Now as time allows I can go back and watch even older vids. I don't do IG so I have never had the chance to ask a question for one of your Q&A's so I will ask one here. How can you even walk, let alone skate on those little feet (just how small are they)? If I tried walking on those I would fall down and squish my boobs....LOL (then again I am 5'9" not 5'1"). Sorry, I just had to kid a little. Aren't European farmers markets amazing? It really illustrates how badly we get overcharged for inferior quality food back home in the U.S. Those blueberries would likely have been 2 to 3 times as expensive here. Seeing those fresh berries makes me want to make jam. BTW how are you liking the coffee over there? The stuff is potent isn't it? 🙂
omg so true! and they just taste so much more fresh than at home!! by the way, the coffee has been nothing short of amazing in every place i’ve visited 😋☕️
The Holocaust museum makes you realize the danger of radical politics and having an "us vs them" mentality. Sadly, the world seems to be slipping back into that mindset. I'm happy to see that you have a heart though, Jordan.
It’s a interesting seeing people amazed by Latvia. I live here and I’m used to all this.
