- After braving pretty much everything from trenches to trucks to water cannons, protesting farmers have got the permission to enter the city to peacefully demonstrate their agitation with the farm bills.
Amidst all this unrest and chaos, a video of Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu has gone viral on the internet where he's seen voicing the plight of the farmers to a police officer. Deep Sidhu, who calls this protest a revolution, has been actively involved in the farmer agitation movement for over a month now and has been leading from the front. In this conversation with Barkha Dutt, he begins by talking about the protests. But the subsequent conversation goes in an unexpected direction and ends up in a massive fight.

Repeat this many times over generations and on a larger scale and you have what's being done to kashmiris. It's amusing how the same story can play out in different societies. If, like the man claims, 80 percent of the local people of a state don't believe in your ideology that is widespread elsewhere in the country, thanks to propaganda, just listen to what the local has to say. A lot of compassion for this unfortunate lady, who is so very much in the grip of the illusion of being a separate self (ego/haumai) - and the vices of non-acceptance, desire and anger coming out of that state of being. A very unrestful place to be.
Deep Sidhu in this interview is the very image of an Englightened Being (Sant) - the one who embodies the qualities of Truth, Contentment, Compassion, Righteousness and Purity - even in the face of someone attacking them in the way he is being attacked by the interviewer. I am inspired beyond words by the exampe he is setting for all of humanity, walking in the footsteps of Guroo Nanak Dev Jee Themselves.

Ever since his passing, I have been watching all his speeches and I am heartbroken I did not see this all before. His ideology was shaped by his awakening to the oppression of Sikhs in India. He wanted more freedoms for his people, even the ability to freely discuss Khalistan, just like how Scots can discuss Scottish independence in the UK or Quebecs can discuss Quebec sovereignty in Canada without being branded as "extremists". His was a voice going against Indian state narrative and that's the reason he is no longer with us today. People feared his free and unchained thoughts.

1) Every criminal has a warrant against him but there was not a "single warrant" against Sant Bhindranwale.
2) Watch interviews of Lt. Gen. S K Sinha. First he was given the task to attack on Darbar Sahib (Golden Temple) and he clearly said that there is no need of it and he refused to attack.
3) Indira Gandhi insisted to attack and removed Gen Sinha and gave task to Gen K Sunderji. It was totally politically motivated.

I was a student in school when Swarn Mandir Gurudwara in Amritsar was attacked by Indian Govt forces under directions of Congress govt. I saw pictures of Bhindarawale with rifles on India Today magazine. I also thought at that time that Bhindarawale was a terrorist. But today I think he was not a terrorist. The newspapers were not free and fair at that time. There was leftist control on newspapers and Congress control on politics. They mismanaged everything they touched. They made an impression of terrorist our of Bhindarawale, even though he was not. He was not even demanding Khalistan. He was a man of conservative values.
