The language barrier has never been a problem during my travels. There is a best and universal language which everyone can speak - SMILE. I learned if you approach the strangers with a positive attitude and happy face they will react back the same and you will feel more welcome. The same happened in Sri Lanka on this video - even villagers who do not speak English were able to communicate and even make business. This sweet lady was offering me vegetables for free actually but I made sure to contribute to the business since they work very hard in the heat. Thank you for watching and adding your comments. Some people say I should use Google Translate - but this is part of the experience and this type of interaction that makes the memories happen. Davud
There is a pigeon island in Jaffna. . You can try scuba diving. No youtubers has covered that place. May be you should try that place and put some videos.
200is much lower than local price👍👍 I think She first gave you 2 nuts without any expectation of money The generosity and humanity of the Sri Lankan people is very high🤗🤗🤗
Dear daud What you are doing in Sri Lanka is very much appreciated. because in this critical financial crisis we need the tourist attractions to regain the tourism industry.I think you are encouraging the people around the world who watch your videos to visit Sri Lanka. Thanks for it brother.
I think Sri Lanka is growing on you ❤️ i think outside the big cities is really where you would feel at home in Sri Lanka, this lady & gents were so nice to you. She gave you 2 as a gift no money expected, such a lovely family, really warms my heart🥰🥰🥰
Hi Davud thanks for visiting Srilanka, the village people are so friendly and kind, they work hard for a very little money. Thanks for your generosity. Stay safe. Tc . Audrey ( Australia)
For first 2 vegetables she didn't expect any money and she gave it to you full of kind heart. And even for five vegies she would take anything you gave. It's nice to see you give more money and helping rural people in Sri Lanka. ❤️❤️
These are the real genuine people. If they can speak the would’ve treated you much better. That women didn’t even expect money.. that’s how poor people act.. they always willing to give but expect nothing. 👍👍👍
davud machan, if you are planning to stay little longer and explore rural sri lanka it's better to learn some sinhala phrases, language is a key to get in to a society, nice content as usual ☺️💖 🇱🇰
Nice exploring Davud. Even though the language barrier exists people are friendly to you because you are kind, friendly and well mannered. Thanks for always contributing to local businesses as well 🙏
Thank you very much Davud for making our Village people happy. The radish was given to you as a gift. Sri lankan s are ready to help. Most can understand what you say. But unfortunately unable to reply. Your kindness is very much appreciated.
This is my village and it's called "Alawathugoda". You can see my home in the background (6:23). The lady gave you two bulbs of "Radish" without expecting any money.
Hi Davud,Brother You can imagine with the facial expressions of this lady what she was going to tell you, love and friendliness of with her beautiful face, It would be amazing if not language barrier.
I'm really sorry for you that most people don't understand English. they are very nice people they would like to welcome foreigners.🇱🇰. One thing you can use google translation in their language ( only 2 languages in sri Lanka Tamil & Sinhala) in that apps you can use speak button and then make them listen to that. Then they will understand what you say. There are many options. Even when they talk to you can get translation in English. Try that Davud machan. Lots of love from Sri Lanka. 🇱🇰
farmers are the people that really need help nowadays, they are struggling financially because of ongoing economy crisis. we really appreciate your visit there Davud.

I being watching some of ur videos and wanted to comment with some correction regarding Sri Lankan meals and culture but unfortunately time was the limited factor. So I would like to offer my gratitude to davud brother u r super human kind. Keep it up and this is my home village they will treat u as much as they possible. ❤️
Davud, u r such friendly, amiable young man. I really enjoy watching most of yr videos. The vibes u give out come back to u, athough there is the language barrier. From the UK.
It's good that you gave her Rs. 400. A Radish Kg would cost around Rs 200-250 (check with a super market) and I think there was more than 1 Kg. Actually most of the village people knew English back in the days as they studied in English. But the change of language policy in Sri Lanka in 1956 ruined their opportunities.

Stay away from crazy buss. Most drivers are driving like they are possessed by demons. 🤯
I think, using a translator app (Google translate) will help both sides understand more.
