I hope you don't feel bad about your limited chinese, because in my experience, most multi-generation people in N. America cannot speak the language of their heritage unless it's english. I know much more mandarin because my wife is first gen chinese-cdn, perfectly fluent in both english & mandarin, as are our children thanks to her and her great parents. In the 90's we moved to hong kong and then to malaysia and singapore. I love it here, we became quite wealthy, far more easily than is possible now in the declining US and we live tax-free (except for sales tax), and I will never again live in US or Canada as we had to choose citizenship so we renounced ours as have a million hardworking happy americans overseas in the past decade. Now proud and "Asian"... so I went the opposite direction of your great-great-grandparents, haha. Speaking of languages, an interesting difference between the US vs Singapore & Malaysia is that almost everyone here is fully fluent in at least 3 languages - if you're not, it's like there's something wrong with you... So I feel a little dumb here about that, which I never felt back home. Oh well, I catch a break about my limited language abilities bcuz I don't look Asian, lol. Singapore is amazing. In the past, they have always turned us on each other. That is no longer so easy. Also thanks to your beautiful films. Thank you. Greetings, Sven

You are making me feel hungry😄 You have also inspired me to get travelling again, so I have just booked my trip to Tibet and I will visit Lhasa and travel to the base of mount Zhumulangma. I just love what you do, you are such an inspiration. Also, my number one channel.
I love it when I see people using Zhumulangma instead of Mt. Everest, much like how people are now calling Mt. McKinley by the name the indigenous peoples gave it, Denali.
Here in Scotland , we have mountains and incredible vistas forever , especially in the Highlands . But those high views and slimline mountain road is something very special . I came across your channel by accident , now I shall follow every excursion you take ... Can't wait for the next one . Best wishes .

I was dizzy watching you walk on the border of that cliff. What amazing view! About the local food. Just great! Tea leaves, rice, wide noodles , spices , smoked meat. I was in heaven!
Hello my friend , I have been following your channel for some time now and each video has been wonderful . The view of the cliff road was so beautiful and I agree kind of scary . The old city streets , the food as well the kind friendly people sharing the history is so insightful . I like that they invited you to share a meal with them , treating you like family . A person from the west I think would have a hard time visiting such a lovely place unless they spoke Chinese and even then with that they would have a hard time understanding the fine people and their amazing history . I am glad that we can learn from you and to see the amazing country of China through your eyes . Thank you for being our guide to learn more of the unseen China that you post through your fine videos my friend .
Thank you for taking the time to read my comment as well for the likes that you gave to me . One day I would love to visit the fine cities of China . But before I could do that I would have to learn to speak Mandarin Chinese language . I have heard that is a very hard language to learn . If you have some tips to help me learn , please feel free to leave them in the reply section . Thank you very much !!!
You are welcome to travel in China. You don’t have to speak Mandarin in China, as long as you have translation software installed on your phone, the people will help you enthusiastically. It’s safe to come to China.
Thank you for your reply to my comments my friend , but I do not understand The fine Chinese language That you are writing to me . Happy Chinese New Year to you , your fine family as well as to all the fine people of China !!!!!@@partyhu
Yan - another great video! Your simple, unpretentious, human interactions with people give us such a good feel of the street and the people there; your drone shots provide great birds-eye views of the fantastic terrains you are visiting. Been to China several times and seen the glitzy and glamorous places (and loved it), but, I realize now, I completely missed the "other side", the true China. "The Unseen China" is such an apt title for your series.

An exhilarating cliff walk ! The people & culture of food & hospitality…. just wonderful ! You are a great ambassador ! Great fun ! Look forward to next, Thank you so much.
When I watched you scrambling along the cliff path, one phase came to my mind. “Bring suffering to yourself”. The view is unspeakable. It is the topography that forces the local residents to construct such dangerous path to connect one place with another. 20km will take an approx. 4-5hrs walk. It is impossible to starve in China even for a fussy eater for there is abundant food to feast on. Thank you for taking the risk and showed us places no tourists go
Wow! It is nice to walk around the town district to see the beautiful structures of houses. The local food looks great and yummy..it is amazing. Thank you.God bless.😊❤
I like drinking green tea very much. It comes from China here in Germany and Sweden and tastes very good. I like it best loose and not in tea bags. Tea bag tea is usually of inferior quality. I learned to drink tea in England. The English way of making tea with loose tea and good quality is, next to Russian, the best thing about tea in Europe.

Wow! That mountain site with narrow walkways is scary.. I hope the local authority will improve the stretch of passage way.. May be to install some galvanised steel pipes with steel nettings coated with green insulation to boost safety .. some rocks have to be chipped off. Safety is important. Take care of your own safety too. Nice video.Thank you.God bless😊

This great video reminds me, all common ppl around a world are the same, with the same problems and life needs, its the same in Europe, America, China ...
I really enjoy your vlogs, the food is fascinating , very different from the westernised versions we get outside of China. The view from the path was amazing I;m glad you did what yo could my fear of height would not have allowed me to get past the shrub at the start of the mountain path. I have also seen in the Philippines. The hanging coffins. The tradition is claimed to have been practicing for over 2,000 years and Sagada people believe that placing the coffins on the side of a cliff, the deceased would be brought closer to heaven/their ancestral spirits.

主要是中国人大部分说话语速太快了,像机关炮一样,造成一些信息过载的焦虑。其实有一个叫做”慢生活“的上海博主的视频讲解介绍也非常好,好像她家常驻马来西亚槟城。但是视频节奏很棒

rely only on 4-legged walker, if
necessary. Yes, the 3-4 hourly mandatory medication does give an hr or 2 of window's

I have to say, that path was genuinely terrifying. I was getting dizzy just watching it from my very safe computer chair.

I’m half Chinese but I know very little about China. My grandparents had moved to Singapore and I grew up in Canada and not very much Chinese culture was passed down to me in general. But your videos.. wow your videos really ignite something in me. I’m a bit in awe. Thank you for sharing ❤️
@@user-vx9q888 Thank you for your advise my friend . I will look into getting the translation software .

Good comment. I too have missed the othr side of china.
very down to earth video of daily lives in China. thank u from Singapore
Amazing video, lovely content. You are doing a fantastic job as China’s ambassador to the rest of the world - no political agenda, no religious biases.
I’m honoured to be another of your subscriber👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🙂
Good luck in your endeavour, from BC🇨🇦
the first ten seconds already frightens me, i can feel my legs shaking even though i m perfectly safe sitting in my computer chair. you are so brave and talented. and now i really want some fried potatoes. ordering.......
Although I live in China, I have never seen any of these places you have been to. Thank you for the video that gave my soul an amazing journey to such a unique place.
I love your videos, they bring back wonderful memories of travelling in China, they make me so nostalgic! I love all the food featured and that you are a single female traveller is awesome. This has become one of my favourite channels. Keep up the awesome work! Can’t wait to see where your adventures take you next :) from Christchurch, New Zealand
6:35 even in such a remote town, the street is so clean and people keep cleaning it no matter their age:))) 😺
NOPE!!! My fear of falling makes that a no go. Not even a railing to hold onto. I experience vertigo and nausea just watching. Thank you for the beautiful photos❣ It is the only way I can see that.
There is NO WAY I could walk that. I admire you for facing your fear and doing it.
I’m sat at home sweating and screaming at the TV! I could never!!! 😂
喜歡你的視頻,用不同的視角表達自己的所見所聞,純朴且真實,中國文化丯富多彩,有很多城市我都沒有去過,也愿自己有生之年能游遍祖國的大好河山!
Amazing episode. Not sure what’s more stunning - the cliff road or all the delicious food. This has quickly become one of my favorite channels
Thank you for showing China like this.
Whatever is she doing.... she is doing awesome ❤️
Keep on showing us hidden china
That strip of buildings in the town is beautiful... What you'd see in a historical drama!

Just found your channel. I'm a new subscriber. You go girl, you ROCK!! I know I will never be able to visit your beautiful country, but I'm there with you every step you make, every place you go, tasting every food you eat. Stay safe, stay well, may God ( our creator) guide you and protect you. 🙏
An exhilarating cliff walk ! The people & culture of food & hospitality…. just wonderful ! You are a great ambassador ! Great fun ! Look forward to next,
Thank you so much.
Thank you for taking the risk and showed us places no tourists go
The vibe of the people, scenary, architecture are really nice.
Wow! It is nice to walk around the town district to see the beautiful structures of houses.
The local food looks great and yummy..it is amazing.
Thank you.God bless.😊❤
the land made the people.. incredible.. i definitely will visit explore china someday.. bismillah..
Interesting places, love it, thanks for sharing
that woman who walked on the edge is 😱😱😱 she is amazing
Love your videos . I hope to someday visit China, all though I am American

China is amazingly clean !
Except for the rivers, they remind me of the bay in Panama. Gray water def!
中国现在是中等发展水平的国家了,在第三世界的国家里算是最干净的
@@Anticrap-b1e I not see a single trash in the river. About the grey color, When glaciers grind against underlying bedrock, they produce a silty powder with grains finer than sand. Geologists call it “glacial flour” or “rock flour.” This iron- and feldspar-rich substance often finds its way into rivers and lakes, coloring the water brown, grey, or aqua

Thank you for taking me along on another exhilarating journey. I can feel my legs weakening watching you crawl along that cliff road. Take care
I always have tremulous legs whenever there's a cliff alongside.
You are an amazing person and so brave.. I wouldn't go on that Mountain road. I've been to many places in China but always avoid danger.
Amazing photos taken, wow. I have always fascinate with China.

Amazing road. Must be tough carving the road
As you were taking your breakfast my mouth was watering! It was really a mouth watering dish.
You are genuine and friendly. And now we can also say you are courageous as well. Dont look to the left indeed!
Wow I can't believe the locals walk the mountain cliff regularly!! That was terrifying. Your drone shots were amazing. I also love when you chat to the friendly locals about the food and their history
Could you imagine being a local and having a toddler walk that path for the first time, on their little, uneven toddler feet?@!! 😳
@@reginewelch8052 nuh uh!! 🙅🏻♀️ But I bet they get used to it from a young age!
Was für ein tolles, exzellentes Video / Grüßeaus🇦🇹
