Awesome video. Looking at the Weebill 2 today. But the reason is for the 100 m wireless transmission. Do you know if the transmitter works with this version? I will delve into that in the coming days.
Rebalancing Gimbals is the biggest pet hate of mine, having the quick release plate is a great feature. If I didn't own one already I'd consider buying this unit. Awesome review as always David.
Thanks for the review! Just watched an RS3 review before this and I think it has the extra edge compared to the Weebill 3. Got that solid stabilization and smooth transitions.
Thanks for the shout out to us lefties. So many things are not designed for both hands. Your review was most helpful, because I cannot use my right hand for something like this, so it is out for me. But, that is why I watch your videos. BTW, "Zero Fox Given" was the best.
Of course this comes out after I buy my first gimbal (went with a DJI Ronin SC Pro from a friend, but used a Zhiyun at a previous job and loved it). I would love to hear what the audio sounds like from the built-in mic. Like you said, not necessarily a primary mic because I remember using my GoPro on a smaller gimbal years ago and I could hear every movement, so wonder if they have figured out how to neutralize that.

Just got the weebill 3 today. 21 hours battery, 1.1kg light weight, sufficient payload for a 24-70mm on an A7 IV were my main considerations. Best gimbal to travel with that set up IMO.
hows it holding up with the 24-70??? im looking to get it but afraid of the support.

Great video David. I have the original weebil s and love it. My only complaint about mine is it can’t handle my now larger setup. I know your a Sony guy but whats the clearance like for larger setups? I run R5 with RF 24-70.

Great video David. Appreciate your work here. Ran into a snag I haven’t been able to solve. I actually have the same gear setup as you do in this vid, but during the initial balance phase (once the camera is balanced front to back) the camera eye piece keeps catching on the the back support of the Weebill when I tilt the camera towards the ceiling. In your video it swings free. Any suggestions on what I maybe missing? Thanks.

I feel like that could be a big miss there on the built in battery. I personally don't ever consider it a negative because it's not serviceable, but rather because of the down time required to recharge, even with an awesome battery life, it's airways just my luck that hour 21 would be the exact hour that I need it most.

Did your gimble come come with the focus & zoom motor? I have the Crane 3 lab I’m using with the Canon 5DMKIII & 5DS it’s just to heavy in weight for me I’ll probably sale it also.
The features they’ve added (I think) make it a good upgrade from the Weebill 2. I personally bought a Ronin SC2 a couple months ago. Just for the ronins ability to fold in half for storage and the controls being in the middle ( I switch hands during shoots), I would stick with the RSC2. It’s totally personal preference though, the Weebill 3 has some new awesome features!
The RSC2 is a solid gimbal! That's sort of the thing these days, we're at peak gimbal and they're all so dang good🙌

I currently have the sc2 and seem to struggle badly with the reaction times I need it to do while filing skate action shots. Any suggestions on what speeds I should be at shooting in portrait mode?
@@chaseskaters Hi! Have you adjusted the speed / follow settings in the app? There are some adjustments for how long it takes to catch up with the motion

Seems there is almost no information on if the TransMount Image Transmitter AI is fully compatible with the ZHIYUN Weebill 3. I have the ZHIYUN Crane 2S with the TransMount AI and it is awesome except for the extreme weight. I need a lighter gimbal to fly on the Wiral Lite Cable Cam with the AI tracking.

I’m considering a gimbal. Question: When you were shooting at the beach, most shots were parallel with the ground. What adjustments did you have to make to shoot upward like at the street signs? Did you have to readjusted it then go back to parallel? Thanks.
That little joy stick on there adjusts the angle up and down and you can look left and right. Then to recenter, you just double click the trigger👍

i see on zhiyun website that this setup rub against the eyepiece and that it needs to be removed. but that was not the case in the video. thats so confusing and i dont know if it will be able to handle my setup. my lens is slightly heavier than the 24-70mm GM
where to mount the field monitor which you will need in replacement for the usually poor camera displays ? On the Weebill S you coult mount a 5" or 7" monitor directly before your eyes, but all of the new gimbals do not allow this, which is a massive misconstruction in my opinion. You simply cannot shoot properly without a good field monitor in direct view.

Is there a way to sort out the JPEG images and RAW files in a SD as 2 separate folders while shooting ? Any settings that I could do in the camera for the same ?
Depends what camera you’re shooting on. For the Sony cameras, I have dual SD slots, so I have my camera setup so that every time I take a photo, the RAW file is written to card 1 and the JPG file is written to card 2. Card 2 is only there as a backup👍

I mounted an A7Siii vertical on this setup and it worked great. Was using the SmallRig half cage

Can you use 24-70 on all ends without recalibration, when you balanced it on 50mm?
You definitely CAN, but you're putting more stress on the motors, so you'll see reduced battery life when out of balance

I think I prefer the RS3 because of the automatic motor locks
It's an odd selling point, but I see why it's getting so much hype. I think once the hype dies down people will realize that the extra few hundred dollars isn't worth not having to flip three switches🤷♂️
the mic and light just seem like wasted money.... I'd rather have the built-in wireless transmitter so I can use my phone to control it's motion out of the box... that's a far more useful feature than a mic that probably isn't as good as my 90D's built-in mic, and a light that will create a shadow from a large lens...

I have buyed this gimbal but do not like it. Hard to push record button, power button is on very wrong place. You can turn it off accidentally with your hand. Hard to balance the setup. No exposure control for sony a7 iii.
Can we use it in Portrait mode as I have more and more clients about reels

There’s 2 lockable 1/4-20 mounts on the bottom of the main handle that the second handle and wrist wrest mount to. If you want to add a magic arm for a monitor, you would need to forego one of those to add it👍
