as soon as I read the title I thought: that sentence can only be said by someone from the USA, so as not to go to the doctor and spend money

Sometimes it feels like my ribs are misaligned. They probably aren't.

For me, the skin on my hands have always absorbed a bit more water than normal. Like whenever my hands go wrinkly I can also scratch off some of the skin easily. It doesn’t hurt and is probably just a lot of dead skin but still.

if you tell any med student dry eyes, dry mouth 100% sjogrens syndrome will be on the differential. Boards love that one. Rare, yes, but at the top of every med students mind with those symptoms haha.

17:23 memory lapses can be a sign of a dissociation disorder, and contrary to popular belief they have a ton of physical symptoms as well, like dizzy spells, clumsy moments, sudden inability to control parts of your body, falls and trips, gross or fine motor control issues, BP changes, body pain, muscle spasms, eyefluid pressure and more. Because your brain is sectioning out areas for your altars/headmates to exist, not all headmates have access to all your functions, resulting in irratic test results that come back as "normal range, but oddly inconsistent". Took me two neurologists, four sleep labs, multiple eegs, an MRI, a resperologist, a psychiatrist, and two psychologists to get told that's what it is. (In the end, was a self DX that was later confirmed and verified, when my sleep labs all came back as "you said you fell asleep. You didn't. You were still awake the whole time." And a friend with DID mentioned they had the same experience)
In some DID systems, you may have rapid switching and good communication, resulting in thinking it's very normal to have massive conversations with yourself, and even have parts that disagree or fight. Being able to imagine a conversation is not the same as literally having one. You'll note the difference as imagining takes more time, as you ponder what sort of response to give, and weigh your options. When you argue with a headmate, it's instant and you aren't controlling both halves of the conversation. Just try to imagine *them* changing their mind. It unlikely they'll tolerate it.
Just saying. It's more common than you think.

I don't know how to explain it but I had from time to time so shakes, when I remember some cringey things I did or things that make me angry, I shake my hand, say words to the air with no relation (like Im angry because someone took my pencil and years later I remember that by washing dishes and I say "'bread" to the air) I don't know if this is Tourette in some scale but Im too ashamed to ask....

For 5:10, I had a VERY scary similar experience as a young ish (maybe 10-11?) year old. I saw these like designs that were like waves in our couch. One morning before school. I swear to god my young cousins face was appearing anguished in the couch and I screamed to my mom. It was no longer there when I came back lol
