- Step one of what it takes to add factory Ford keyless entry to your OBS Ford trucks and Broncos. will also work on Bullnose and Bricknose.
Thanks for these videos! Just got mine finished this morning. Been wanting to do this forever. I’ve done one conversion before but I swapped all of the cab wiring to make it happen. This was much much easier.
You're welcome, and thank you! I'm glad it helped.
@@tonyscarcare5657however I do have one question. On the keypad harness I only have 7 wires and the connector has 8. The black wire is the one I’m missing. Do I need the black wire? I didn’t see anything about it in the video. I may have just missed it.
@michaelskyrealm it gets grounded.
@@tonyscarcare5657 ok that’s what I figured. Thank you.
@michaelskyrealm you're welcome.
This is perfect! Thanks! Been wanting to put a keyless entry sys in my 93 F250. Would prefer to do the factory setup if I can find the donor cars (getting kinda rare!). I'll do the after-market setup you make the harness for if I can find any donors.
I'm hoping to get the wiring specifics video on here soon. Please like and subscribe to my channel and check out my other videos. Thanks!
I did this to my 88' bronco. I used the harness from a taurus. And I added the keypad from a grand marquis
What year Taurus did you get it from
Very cool Tony. Look forward to seeing what ya do at home make it the plug and play. I think my 97 250 has the oem keyless entry but don’t have the remotes and think my drivers door lock actuator is going bad. Buzz’s when you lock it in lock. Had that on my 01 got mustang.
Thanks. If you have the module, all you have to do is get the remotes off of Ebay.
@@tonyscarcare5657 any suggestions on what to do to tell if the actuator is bad. Have to unlock a couple times for it to fully unlock. I’ll look at the eBay remotes. Thanks bud. Found ya in one of the obs Facebook groups.
@@workingtorelax1223 sounds like the actuators are bad to me.
Would this work on a 1997 f150 (10th gen style)? I know they changed the modules in 1998-2003 so I'm assuming the 97 is using leftover OBS parts.
Really want to install a keypad but made the mistake of buying a doorhandle with one but didn't realize my truck doesn't have the RKE module.
You can use the door handle keypad with all of this older stuff.
@@tonyscarcare5657 Awesome! This'll be a great upgrade to my truck. Thanks for such a detailed video series on this.
You're welcome.
Hi Tony as far as key pads go, what year range do you have to stay within?
There's a long stretch of years and models that will work. Some have different plugs, but they can be changed.
Awesome video, Tony. I have a 97 f350, all power, but no FKE. I am looking to add factory keyless entry (I would rather have ford fobs than the aftermarket ones). Any plans to start selling kits for the factory keyless entry? I do not want the keypad, just working fobs. Would love your help putting one together! Thanks!
I'm hoping to get the other videos done after the busy holiday season but there's just no why I can get enough of these factory parts to offer them to everyone that wants one. If I said I would I'd have a waiting list a mile long. Thanks for your interest though.
I can also tell you the factory fobs are really absolute crap compared to the current aftermarket ones. They've came a long way since 1994.
Hey Tony I saw your last video and had a few questions. I was wondering how I could order/buy the OBS ford plug and play keyless entry install kit. Do I call the shop or do you have a website I could buy it from?
I do not have a website. Yes you can simply call 618-283-2776 to pay over the phone or PayPal me at thefordfreak@yahoo.com. I always have them ready to ship now. Thanks!
Where are the modules located in the Town Car / Crown Vics / Grand Marquee?
They are to the right of the glove box in the A pillar and above the plastic kick panel 93 and 94 only. Please subscribe to my channel. Thanks!
So, if the module in the cougars is the same thing, why can't you adapt it to work in the OBS trucks? Is it due to the plug locations?
Yes, it's too big and doesn't have any mounting holes.
Tony does this work for non OBS with pwr locks?
Yes but I still have videos to finish on how to do it.
I do have a video already posted showing how to install it once it's ready.
Do you still have keyless entry kits available for the 92-96 F150s available to buy?
Yes I do have the aftermarket plug and play keyless entry's available.
@@tonyscarcare5657 how do I contact you to order one?
@@VanishingPoint you can PayPal me at thefordfreak@yahoo.com or simply call 618-283-2776 to pay over the phone. Thanks!
