    "If married women were honest, single women would be content" lol. This conversation was super refreshing, encouraging and insightful to hear, thank you for sharing this. Also what Dr. Slattery said "Psychology is helpful, but only the Healer heals" was so powerful

      Wooo a word man! From someone who was married 17 years (and hated it most of the time) and has now been single for 12 ( and loved it most of the time) this was a word! 😂

      Statements like this make my heart drop in saddness😢 are all marriages really crap? Even Christian?

    Most people are not trying to transform their thinking, they are just trying to stop the activity... ❤
    It keeps us frustrated and feeling terrible when we fall into sin again and again

    Jada please keep setting us single women straight. Bc we do think the grass is greener on the other side. Dr. Slattery thank you, going to buy your books.

    This was a great conversation. I have been thinking a lot about how we came up in church and they had 13, 14, 15 yr old teenagers signing a covenant to say we would wait until marriage, but there was never any practical information about how to live a life where that was possible. So many of us made this promise and I guarantee 99% of us did not wait until marriage. There was a time our teen’s ministry went to the juvenile home to minister to them and for some reason, the topic our youth pastor chose was abstinence. We totally missed an opportunity to preach the gospel because we were arguing about why we should wait for marriage. We completely failed on bringing Jesus to other kids who needed Him.

    Thank you for saying what a lot of people are afraid to about our sexuality. We have to start by asking God to transform our thinking so we start thinking like him. He is Truth and the world is lie on top of lies. Lord thank you for opening our eyes. Thank you Lord for Jada and those doing your will. ❤❤❤

    This conversation is much needed. I grew up in the "Purity Culture," and despite its good intentions, I now understand the unintended consequences of that thinking.

    Awesome Lady Jada! My late husband used to always say that he was more interested in our intimacy than just the sex. It was great to hear Dr. Slattery share the same sentiment. Thanks for sharing! 😇💕

    "If married women were honest, single women would be content" is so not true. Unless they're terribly immature or mentally unstable, single women do NOT live under the illusion that marriage is easy or perfect. The single person's desire doesn't stem from perceiving others' seemingly happy relationships. The desire to be in a relationship is biological. It was God who said it was not good that man be alone. Single women aren't pining away because of what we saw on Instagram, they're longing for something that is innate and indisputable. Single women KNOW marriage isn't easy, but that doesn't uproot the desire God built in humans to find companionship ❤

      This!!! Whew!! I don’t know why people think different but you stated this so well!! I totally agree. I know married people, also we as singles most of us have been in relationships so we know there is no perfection. We know we get to grow, heal and discover about ourselves and other half. God gave us the desire for sure!! Thanks for saying it

    This is a great conversation! We just looked at Paul's views on marriage last week in Bible study. Paul basically advised everyone to stay unmarried. Lol. 😅 I am so sorry I was unable to make it to OCC yesterday. I was in town for work, and time did not allow it. I did watch online, though. If you ever decide to plant a church in the Atlanta area (specifically near Alpharetta, GA), I will be there! Blessings, sis!

      Paul is a false apostle.

    • @audrey.m.w.v
      @audrey.m.w.v Місяць тому

      @@IamBarati 2 Peter 3:15-16, Paul is not a false apostle. Read what Peter said about those who misalign Paul: “Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.”

    I disagree- there is a “therapist” in the Bible… THE COUNSELOR… Biblical therapist are the natural expression of a divine identification.
