An achievement that's actually a little more fun to *not* complete is "Burden of Choice". After defeating the legendary Leyline Anomaly for the first time, your commander will begin to randomly start seeing glowing humanoids all over Tyria. If you touch (run through) the hallucination, you unlock Burden of Choice and completing the achievement ends the hallucinations. It's part of the Anomalous Occurrences side stories achievement set.

This has been driving me crazy lately. I only recently did the legendary leyline anomaly for the first time and when I saw the first hallucinations I run up to them out of pure curiosity, so I noticed the achievement being unlocked, but I did not remember what it was called. I've been wanting to look up a guide for a while now, but I had absolutely no clue what to search for and ever since I started intentionally trying I haven't caught a single hallucination, so I didn't get any progress notification. Thank you for mentioning this. I can now go restore my sanity.

@@melinnamba If that ever happens in the future, there is a "recent" section on the achievement page that tells you the last three achievements you got

But I don't want him to go away, he's like my only friend. We do world bosses together

@@simex909I know about that, but the "burden of choice" wasn't listed there anymore, when I went to check. At first I thought I wouldn't need any further information, but by now I am wondering if I am doing something wrong. I've done plenty of achievements in-between, so the "recent" section had no chance of helping me out.
Update: I definitely did something wrong. I would have been chasing hallucinations for a loooong time. 😅

I completed this by accident after having the ghost figures for years and years. 😢😢😢

As a Sylvari main, I don't think I can get myself to do the "is this a scratching post" achievement. But I'll definitely go check which of these achievements I haven't done yet.

"no culinary application" followed by "seimur was wrong" its a funny inside joke, "someone in need", "healing heir", "strngh of the unseen" (there are many more) are awesome and fun miniquests that dives into the lore realm, super fan of those!

The in-game wiki also has guides on doing the achievements, too. Very helpful as many have marked maps to help the journey along. But I'm writing this as I'm only 16 seconds into the video, so I'm looking forward to seeing some I haven't done or heard of! There was a time when I was quite an AP hunter, mostly due to a bad PC that would overheat and crash if I was in a zerg or world boss fight. So to still enjoy the game before replacing the pc, I had to stay away from crowds. But man-oh-man was it fun! Clear goals with guides on the wiki most of the time with fun challenges that took me to parts of the game I wouldn't have experienced had I not done the achievements. Bits of dialogue, little character scenes, hidden chests, progression rewards, and other little cool things that just flesh out the world and were so much fun and rewarding. I have to stop writing now and watch the video!

A good achievement is like a scavenger hunt. But I get frustrated that too many times, one thing on the list is bugged so I can’t complete the achievement. For instance, I lit the last light in Seitung Province but didn’t get the achievement. I’m making a list of all my unfinished ones to send to Anet.
