The pans are great had them for nearly two years, however, do not leave the handle on whilst the pan is on the heat, or leave them submerged in water, they do break.
Okay that was a really good ad and I really strongly considered buying this set or asking for it for Christmas... Definitely something I'll think about when my current cookware gets too worn out though!
Those pans are pretty cool. My mom used to have pans similar to those back in the 70's. She was constantly losing the handle and would yell out "Where is the pan handle" It became a running gag in our house every time she said that we all yelled back "In Texas"
The pans are pretty cool, but I can also see how easy it would be to lose the handles or misplace them. Maybe if we could attach a gadget to the handle, so that every time you clap, the gadget beeps and you can locate your handle easily.

I love the idea of the pans, but I personally would avoid Tefal non-stick frying pans. Our last set lasted less than a year before it started peeling. Our new pans (can't remember the brand, possibly Scoville) have a very bumpy texture on the non-stick and they seem to be indestructible. I've even used metal spatulas and spoons and there's not even a mark on them.
Those tefal pans are great, the only thing i would mention is that if you have someone in the house who likes to splash whatever they're cooking all over the place, it is possible for the handles to get a bit "sticky" and not open all the way and the handles aren't dishwasher safe either and the design makes them a little tricky to properly clean but other than that they are good.
A few years ago I read a great tip for getting a crispy skin on a microwave potato. Wash the potato, and while it is still wet coat it in salt. Microwave it, and then brush off the extra salt (to whatever level of saltiness you want) before serving. The skin ends up much tastier. (Not the same as a great oven-baked one, but much closer, and just as fast as microwaving plain).

On the subject of spaghetti and exploding: my mother's biggest cooking fail was microwaving a spaghetti squash. She kept testing it and cooking it longer. She was poking to check the doneness. It exploded on her. I mean on her, on the floor, on the cabinets, on the walls, and, yes, even on the ceiling. We cleaned and cleaned, but we still found pieces of spaghetti squash some 20 years later. I will never forget that.
Whenever my Mum makes jacket potato in the microwave, I start quoting the old Lurpak advert: "Give it some respect. Give it an oven. Give it an hour. Give it Lurpak."
I have the smaller pack of those pans (1 frypan, a large and small pot, plus a small and large lid for the stove and fridge). It only comes with one handle, but was a bit more affordable and I have loved it for like a year now! Super useful!
My mom had the potato thing for the microwave. It brings me nostalgia seeing them, as I haven't been able to see my mom for years now due to the pandemic.
Those clip on handles are flammable, just so you know; plastic will pop, crack and smoke. Probably doesn't matter for induction hobs. They scratch the pans up and remove any protective coating it has; non-issue for steel pan, I guess. We've had some (also Tefal) for years and finally threw them out; replaced with a set from ProCook. The Tefal lids are made so that you can put them inside the pots for space saving: big pan sat on big lid, medium lid inside big pan, medium pan sat on medium lid, small lid inside medium pan, small lid sat on small lid. Great for space saving, can be pain in the arse if you want the pan and lid that's in the middle of the stack.
Spaghetti horror story......dropped the pot while draining my pasta, ended up boiling.....yes.... boiling my bare foot. Didn't feel good at all. Luckily no scarring or permanent damage. I just cook with shoes on now lol.
I have the same ingenio induction set (the all non stick set) for the past 2 years! Best purchase ever! Space saving, still in brilliant condition after 2 years, the handles can hold like 10 kilos, use them in the oven! What’s not to love! I haven’t and wouldn’t put them in the dishwasher though just in case (even though they are apparently dishwasher safe!) 😂
My mum had those ingenio pans, and they are honestly terrible. The normal pans are fine so long as you've got a stable stove or are only ever using as many pans as you have handles for, but if you've only got a cheap gas hob with thin grates, and you're stirring something in them without the handle on because you're using it on a different pan, the pan will sometimes tilt over (admitedly this is mostly the fault of the hob) and because there's no handle you've got nothing to keep it stable or catch it with that won't burn you. Then when it comes to the frying pans, we found the handles absolutely destroyed the non stick within a month or two. same way you're not mean to use metal spoons on non stick, you shouldn't use those handles on them. once the non-stick gets damaged and starts to peel away it's basically just scrap metal at that point because it's not safe to use due to the toxins in the non stick coating. And that's before you get to the issue of stacking non-stick pans on top of each other. definitely get some of those fabric pan separators if you're going to do that. I like Tefal's stuff, but these pans are honestly just such a dumb idea and massively over-priced (even with the discount) considering you only get one or two handles. Go and buy the same amount of pans in the ComfortMax range. better quality, all have their own handles, you can still stack them fairly easily, and you'll save £100 from the discounted price of the ingenios. It's solving a problem nobody really has (i know you're trying to sell them because it's an ad, but taking 10 random pans out of your cupboard and replacing it with 5 and going "whoa! look how much space there is now" is really disingenuous) and charging you a premium for it.
In the US we got one of those nut choppers but it was advertised as a garlic chopper. Worked okay, but you can't re-sharpen the blades, so we just ended up buying a one-piece no-moveable-parts garlic crusher instead.
Those pots and pans would be amazing for parents with small children who like to grab handles off of the stove top. Also, yes, you can absolutely overcook spaghetti, good sir! It turns mushy and gummy and is inedible. I can't believe you cook dry pasta for more than 10 minutes! Mine is always al dente (without the helper, LOL) and has a nice bite to it still.
I was having one of the worse days, in years. And Barry, Thank You and Bless You! You made me lol and then, I was laughing so hard, the dog came to check on me. Thank you sir, From Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
For my early Christmas pressie I used the Tefal code to buy myself a full set of pans - which were already in their sale - so, all in all I saved about £200!! Thank you so much Barry. 🤩
I have a smaller version of the nut chopper that I use for garlic. So much easier for when the arthritis in my hands/fingers is bad. Some fabulous gadgets again.
I have a set of Tefal pans. In fact, those look like the same ones I have. I like that it is so easy to store them with the removable handles. Plus the plastic tops mean you can store food in the pan in the fridge. Great quality pans and very clever. But you do have to look after them properly as they are non stick pans.
I believe Mrs Barry is talking about the betterware catalogue. They had something that converted your microwave into an oven and you could cool oven foods in the microwave!
We have those Tefal pans to save space too and they're mostly awesome... But those handles aren't great. They're difficult to clean (while following the limiting instructions) and incredibly fragile. We're currently just using one of them because the other is stuck closed. So great for small spaces, being able to put them in the oven is really helpful... But it feels like a design that could be improved greatly.
Lol... never seen the nut chopper before watching this video. Went to my local department store just now and saw they had the same thing but they had rebranded it as 'the garlic chopper'. Thought it was funny to have seen a never seen before gadget twice in a day! Makes total sense to rebrand it as a garlic chopper. You can already buy chopped nuts but you cant buy freshly chopped raw garlic! 😂
Most stores sell chopped raw garlic in jars. Sometimes even in big 32 oz. jars. As with chopped nuts, you'll pay more per pound for the chopped garlic. The thing that stood out to me with the nut chopped was how few nuts it could hold at a time.
I've got those pans, great on my induction hob. The jacket potato cooker I used to sell as a Kleeneze rep, and I do mine in the microwave until soft, then leave overnight in the fridge, rub in butter and salt and cook in a really hot (230+ degrees) for about 40 minutes to heat through and go really crispy!
The pans are pretty neat! They would be super useful during the holidays when you need to cook multiple things in the oven, I imagine you'd have extra space without the handles.
The removable handle was popular in the 1960s in the states. They were enameled with designs on the sides ( like everything else). Seen a handful of them in the thrift stores lately.
I’ve had the ingenio pan set for about five years now (not stainless steel) but I only got 1 handle and I actually bought an additional 2 handles but I got a strainer with it
I have the Ingenio pans and they're great but the handles are poorly designed. Great idea, but if on gas hobs you have to be super careful about not leaving them on the pan in case they melt/smoulder (the plastic doesn't catch fire as such, just becomes super dry and crumbly). Other than that the benefits of space saving and hob safety (accidentally leaving a metal handle over a flame and then trying to grab it...) are pretty great.
I’m the same about jacket potatoes. It’s all about low and slow in the oven from the start. My whole family do microwave then into the oven. Sometimes they just use microwave entirely!
1:50 That info is actually way more useful then you would expect. I am hypersensitive, and to me that ridge on the spoon actually hurts, so I am very particular on my spoons. Never thought of using a shovel in stead though XD
I have Tefal non stick set. I love them. Firstly I didn't want them but now I love them. I have all pots and pans from Tefal same as kettle and contact grill 🤣 all works perfect and it's space saving 😁
The pans are only on the UK site not available in the USA darn cause those are really cool and they would really help my mom with her MS multiple sclerosis

I'm curious if Tefal is the same brand of pots that is sold under the T-Fal here in the US? The packaging looks similar.
For my early Christmas pressie I used the Tefal code to buy myself a full set of pans - which were already in their sale - so, all in all I saved about £200!! Thank you so much Barry. 🤩
Omg love the new t-fal design!
Silly question but wouldn't those removable handles have a tendency to scratch the non stick coating on those pans?
The removable handles for the Tefal pans are a great idea! Maybe eventually I'll be able to get it but not right now.
I have a smaller version of the nut chopper that I use for garlic. So much easier for when the arthritis in my hands/fingers is bad. Some fabulous gadgets again.
ok, those pans are genius. i like that idea a LOT.
Any US options for the tfal pan shopping and discount?
I have a set of Tefal pans. In fact, those look like the same ones I have. I like that it is so easy to store them with the removable handles. Plus the plastic tops mean you can store food in the pan in the fridge. Great quality pans and very clever. But you do have to look after them properly as they are non stick pans.
9:20 the best way is to throw a strand of spagetti onto a wall if it sticks then it is done lol
I believe Mrs Barry is talking about the betterware catalogue. They had something that converted your microwave into an oven and you could cool oven foods in the microwave!
I have a garlic mincer that works like the nut chopper and it works REALLY well and is alot of fun to use
I love t-fal also and it's the only cook ware my husband will use but I'more interested right now in your cabinet.... I didn't know that existed!
Lol... never seen the nut chopper before watching this video.
What are those sliding shelves called that you pulled out of your cupboard?
"This is an ad. They very kindly sent me this." lmao how kind of them to give you their product so you can advertise it for them
Grate you got Tefal as a sponsor. Berry grate.
Chef'n also makes a garlic zoom that is wonderful. Chops you garlic with no mess and is easy to clean. The nut zoom is still available online.
The Tefal pans remind me a lot of camping cooksets, they often have one handle for all the pots and pans in the kit... :P
Oh that's cool, I sense a camping video idea now
The pans are pretty neat! They would be super useful during the holidays when you need to cook multiple things in the oven, I imagine you'd have extra space without the handles.
Combining orange juice and ginger makes a superb base for a salad dressing.
That was a lovely and interesting ad. You deserve that ad money
The removable handle was popular in the 1960s in the states. They were enameled with designs on the sides ( like everything else). Seen a handful of them in the thrift stores lately.
Could anyone tell me where to get one of those kitchen cuboid pullout?
I have a kitchen cubord just like that I have stuff I've not seen in years.
I’ve had the ingenio pan set for about five years now (not stainless steel) but I only got 1 handle and I actually bought an additional 2 handles but I got a strainer with it
We have a set of handle-less pans like that, we'd never fit that collection in the kitchen if the handles were fixed on. Genius
These are some of my favorite videos!
Thanks Casey
I use that jacket spud thing. Best gadget mum has got me
Did you try using the corn handle as a reamer for juicing fruit rather than mashing them?
Absolutely amazing set as always! :D
Corning ware came out with that style of handle years ago. I use it all the time
The jacket potato stand got me through university 20 years ago 😁
My first car was a 1971 Datsun with a choke. I had it in 1997. So much fun.
I have Tefal non stick set. I love them. Firstly I didn't want them but now I love them. I have all pots and pans from Tefal same as kettle and contact grill 🤣 all works perfect and it's space saving 😁
6:03 Oh that looks so good!
The pans are only on the UK site not available in the USA darn cause those are really cool and they would really help my mom with her MS multiple sclerosis
