I love that Brett still laughs at "sex tet"
“that’s one of the pettiest things I’ve done...”
I’d love to hear what other petty things jemaine has done lmaooo 🤣
"..every genre of New Zealand music.."
Two of the most brilliant comedians of all times from any country. Their work was and still is amazing.
We're lucky TVNZ refused them. The world might have never known the brilliance of FOtheC.
2:34 man what a dancer!
I've always wanted to watch "Funny as..." Ever since i saw that article that they looked for the pilot episode for FOTC.
So thanks for uploading this 😍
I'm quite surprised that "Bowie in Space" was one of their earlier songs
Why?
Yeah you can find early live versions of it on UA-cam, it's still great but noticeably different from the show version
Definitely! That is surprising!! Bowie wasn’t even popular until like 2008 at least!!
i would definitely watch that show
Sending a picture back to a tv exec to brag about your success is a bit Wellington to be honest.
I wish I could watch the whole thing! Too bad I don't live in NZ.
That's pretty far out man.
"A bit Wellington"
I need this
A Mighty Wind New Zealand style
funny , clever guys
I would like to see it. Give it to me!
I would like to know if they're going to come back and make a diss track against Tenacious D. I truly hope they do the D don't want any part of hiphopopotamus
Bret Chang?!
TVNZ have always been a bunch of wallies when it comes to identifying successful shows or ideas - Take 'Freaky TV' back in the early 2000s, won awards here and overseas, Australia even broadcast the entire series, then it was cancelled by TVNZ! oh yeah, Freaky TV was made in Wellington! They hated anything that was made at Avalon studios (Wellington) and slowly but surely shut the whole place down, killed it off. These days TVNZ only seem interested in supporting cheap and nasty reality formats. TVNZ, since moving to Auckland, have definitely become a bit Wellington.
I found your comment informative...until the last sentence ! Now I am mostly confused ! 🐒
How come Jermaine is so good looking now??
@tiasa6739 .J'MAINE!!!!
The 2 funniest Aussie's of all time!! 🇦🇺
🤣🤣🤣I'll send you a pavlova lol
They are from New Zealand
Kiwis
Please tell me you're joking
Some FOTC fans here sound humorless. They must be from Auckland.
What they up to now a days? I haven't seen them on US TV in over a decade.
The last thing they did for US TV was an HBO special "Live in London" in 2018. Other than that, they don't really do much as the Conchords anymore.
What does this mean "a bit Wellington"? Is it like provincial?
Probably. And for NZ that’s saying something.
@@urbanskiboguslabsrecording7531 thanks for this insight!
It means the person who said it was a jafa
@@Feanaro5503 HA!!!
Wellington, the central city part at least, is an arty alternative city.
hbo had flight of the conchords
jeez considering some of the unfunny series TVNZ did commission . If you couldn't see the genius of Bowie to Bowie there is no saving you.
love the show. but sort of a Tenacious D ripoff in many ways. honestly
But what if Tenacious D is a Weird Al ripoff 😂... being "inspired" by others is just the way of the game with creative business stuff, it seems. If youre not borrowing/ polishing someone else's style, somebody else sure as spit will
@@Dman9fpummm huh? Weird Al was not a slacker duo singing songs about sex with girls... Tenacious D slacker duo from LA singing songs about girls with a crazy superfan. FoTC slacker duo from NY singing songs about girls with a crazy super fan. Obvious Difference between inspiration and ripoff
@@turinhorse"from ny"?? 😭😭 i suppose you'd also be against bon iver for daring to be an american man who sings with a guitar like bob dylan
@@claraclonk huh? this is a HBO series.. its tv you dimwitt
