ppl who are sturggling on making decisions must have already known different pov from each 'hat'. thats why they got stuck. so its still now answering the question, how to make the final decison?

Eventually my friend, you leap. You make a choice and surrender fully to it and accept its outcomes

So now instead of deciding from 2 options, you have 4 more on top? Awesome! More confusion lol

Hey Jim, what your opinion about listening music while studying

    • @lucianoinso
      @lucianoinso Рік тому +2

Hi! Not Jim, but he recommends listening to Baroque music, or music with BPM of 50-80 but without lyrics so you don't get distracted, studies have shown that kind of music to be effective for studying because it puts the brain in an alpha wave state.
For me, "Brown Noise" works wonders for helping me to relax and that improves my focus hugely.

This is the best information I’ve ever gotten about decision making. It also helps me understand that my spouse and I may be not looking at decision making with the same color hats and perhaps going thru each color together will be very helpful 🎉

Somthing I've found really useful is to use AI to help. chatGTP (or whatever it's called LOL) can be assigned the persona of each of the hats in turn, you can then have a conversation to brainstorm. I've used it like that, and it's 'thought' of something I would have missed several times now. Obviously, don't join the AI is god cult LOL but it can be a really useful tool if used in moderation.

So I liked your idea and gave it a shot just now. It’s said ultimately the decision is mine. It did help me find a bit more clarity though, and I was able to find a compromise.

    Recap for this invaluable video
    White Hat - Data/Information /fact
    Red Hat - Heart/Emotion
    Black Hat - Risk
    Yellow Hat - optimism
    Green Hat - Growth/Possibilities
Blue Hat - the only one that listens all the conversation above which each hat has talked and has appropriate managements such as mitigating risks, thinking of other’s feelings and does the right decision.

We can never know everything and we can never be sure. All information is incomplete, and all read- ings distorted by personal prejudice. And yet we have to take decisions all the time and hope the results favour us

Brilliant interaction between the two guys. Really helpful if making just one decision but do you have any thoughts/input on how to deal with what might be called 'too many decisions' syndrome?
I am experiencing that now and it is really uncomfortable.
