  • What an incredible day kayak fishing. Besides the multiple redfish, trout, and snook, I caught mangrove snapper, baracuda, and jack crevale. The bite was steady all day long on both live bait, cut bait, and artificial.

Thanks so much Richard. I really do enjoy every part of the process, from planning the trip to editing video, so would do it even if nobody watched, but it is nice to get positive feedback and know that someone besides me enjoys the end result.

The most encouraging sign was that they are hitting artificial now at midday. The daytime artificial bite gets slow this far south in the summer months.

Look for the dog beach on Lover's Key. You can launch from the side of the road near there.
