All I have is movement sensor, voltage sensor 2 temperature sensor (one for the fridge and one for the boiler) and I can turn on and off some devices. For the battery sensor you could use to prevent incidents, the lead acid battery exhausts HS2 when over charged and is the main cause of accidents, and you can detect that! In my bout I have 2 different sensors, one for HS2 and one for Gas from the stove

I have did some auotmation in our 22' boat many years ago( 2010) using insdutrial PLC and HMI and its working for these years .
