@@deedeemegadoodoo666 In 1999, I went to see Iron Maiden on the Ed Hunter tour. While waiting in line, I saw some guy wearing a shirt from the Powerslave tour, which was 15 years earlier, in 1984. I was but a young child in 1984 who hadn't even heard of Iron Maiden yet, so when speaking with him, I mentioned that it was cool that he saw the band "back in the old days". Exactly 15 years later, in 2014, I was waiting in line at another metal concert, wearing the shirt I'd gotten at that Iron Maiden show in 1999 no less, and these 2 high school age guys started talking to me about how cool the shirt was, and how it was cool that I'd gotten to see Iron Maiden "back in the old days". In 15 years, I'd gone from being the young guy to being the old guy, in the exact same conversation. 😂🤣 So, the point of this story is, enjoy it while lasts... before you know it, you'll be the crusty old fan telling the kids about the cool stuff that happened back in the old days! 😁
It's easy to get pissed on Trooper Beer, it's soooo nice.. Even if I didn't love Maiden, that beer is totally amazing!!! Great video btw.. UP THE IRONS!!! 🤘🏻😎💯🙏🏻
Have visited the cart and horses many times .it's a must for any maiden fan .I have met so many maiden fans from all over the world plus many of the original members . Kastro has done an amazing job to keep this piece of maiden history alive.
Huge Maiden fan here from Essex UK.. born in Walthamstow (up the Rd from Stratford) been to this awesome pub many times.. seen many awesome bands inc Maiden tributes.(ION MAIDEN..IRONED MAIDEN AND HI ON MAIDEN) also seen Airforce.. Paul Di'Anno..British Lion (Steve Harris band).... last visit was 17th Aug saw Gypsy's Kiss with David Smith ...Sacrilege and an amazing band called General Jack !
You lucky git 😂 I’d love to see those tribute bands. I did manage to see Di’Anno at Bannermans, Edinburgh last year. I’ll keep an eye for those bands, if we get them up our end 🤘
I went to the cart and horses in 1976, purely by accident. Had never heard of Iron Maiden. Turned out my old school buddy Paul Mario Day was making his singing debut that night, and I didn't know that also 😮 I also knew Paul Dianno, he lived in a tower block in Oliver Rd, Leyton. Me, Dianno, and Clive Burr's drum tech, Steve Loopy Newhouse, used to go to the Marquee club in Wardour St London to watch rock bands. Great day's ❤
I was expecting this place to be the Ruskin Arms where Maiden played ongoing many early gigs into 1980 and mentioned on their 1st lp im pretty sure and Stevie Harris fondly talked about in an early 80s video doco.
I`ve never heard of this pub and understand the Ruskin Arms and the (demolished)Bridge House to be the real birthplace(s) of Maiden if anywhere is!!...I smell a rat.
I walked past this place many times when I lived around here and wondered if this was the place. It was a bit derelict then, not sure it was even open at the time. I used to drink in the Bacchus a few doors down. Now I know! How long has it been like this anyone know?
I visited Cart & Horses around 2018 I think. I don't remember there being a basement then. There was a small stage on the ground floor though. Is the basement truly the place where IM played or a later addition to the pub?
Here's to Paul Di'Anno, RIP mate 🍻
SO COOL🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Been a fan of IM for over 40 years…I got to go to this place!!!! Cheers from SoCal 🤘🏼
40 years 🤘 I’ve been a fan ever since I saw The Wicker Man music video
i feel super young cause im 14 and all other iron maiden fans i meet are older than me by a lot
@@deedeemegadoodoo666 yeah they're old enough to be your great grandad 😅😅🤣🤣

I live in Kingsbury near where “the bandwagon” used to stand. It’s a Tesco express now… totally depressing.

I’m not 100% sure pal, I just guessed it was always there 🤘
Awesome! Good thing I don't live here because I'll go there every day and probably become an alcoholic! :)
I would totally make it my local if I stayed in London and not Scotland 😂🤘
You would need to be a millionaire to become an alcoholic in London pubs.

The dude singing was good.
he was awesome! It was mind blowing 🤯 great choice of song as well.
Really profiteering off their past and not in a good or classy way, is how i felt when I saw tailgunner there recently.
Aw, when was tailgunner there? I really fancied seeing Idol Maiden there but couldn’t justify the travel 😂
@@thelagerlogs back in july(that went quick), they were really good!
their fist gig was at st. nicks hall in poplar, may 1st 1976. they made a fiver!
3 years after playing here they sold out long beach arena USA. 👊👊👊
