15:45 Typhoons are frequent visitors in the Philippines. Life, especially on the coastal areas is really tough during a strong typhoon. Even concrete houses suffer damages during the strongest typhoon signal. But Filipinos are resilient. We build everything and restart again.
I really suggest you should try Dinagat Islands because it's like the virgin version of Palawan there's even a lake on top of a mountain, you can find a lot of beaches and lagoons.
Hi D&J,local filipinos when they built houses mostly don't have machine to used just a hard work, and if you built a house in the Philippines built in concrete even you live in inland or island so if there's hurricane arrives your house still okay,a lot cheaper to built a concrete house in the Philippines compare here in the usa😊

Caramoan was the site of the popular reality show, Survivor. It was Survivor 26 I think. The previous season Survivor 25 was also held in the Philippine Islands, and that season was so good it's widely regarded as the Season that saved Survivor from being cancelled. After Survivor 25, the next 3 Survivor editions were held in the Philippines because of the beautiful islands here and the cooperation of the locals in helping with the preparations of the events.
Yes, Finn Snow has a Filipina gf and lives together in the seaside town of Dauin, Negros Oriental, several kilometers away from Dumaguete city. They unfortunately lost their baby - in the womb - last year. He is an excellent underwater videographer and an avid diver who has explored some of the best diving spots in the country including the Tubbataha marine sanctuary and coral reef. Hope you can make a reaction about his trip there. It is beyond amazing. He has also finished the construction of his yacht - forgot the name of it - which he hopes to explore the country more with. He's one of the most beloved content creator in the country.
That’s so sad. I didn’t know that. I messaged him on instagram to jump on a live stream with us but he’s going on a 12 day trip to visays and then after he said he will jump on a live stream so fingers crossed 🤞
I’m not sure if my memory is correct but I remember that the family of Finn’s girlfriend has land property in the Philippines. The land was left empty for a long time so that may be the plot of land that Finn is building his home on.
Most houses here are built with cement to withstand typhoons. My dad told me that if I'd like to buy a house by the beach, I should choose a location where there's a nearby island, especially if you can see that other island across your land. Because those places rarely have tsunamis. There's a British family vlogger that lives in Siargao. The channel name is 8 Miles From Home. They are living in Siargao ever since they got stuck during the pandemic, and never relocated. They did a vlog during one of the nastiest typhoons to hit Siargao in 2021 - Typhoon Odette. They experienced first hand how the Filipinos handle the aftermath.
Luckily, we have not experienced tsunamis since the recent earthquakes here in the Philippines. Still, people living in tsunami-prone areas somehow know what to do in this kind of event, and with the help of the local government, they evacuate right away.
When I was 5, we moved to PALAWAN. Pls check JOHNSON ISLAND in Roxas, Palawan where I spent my childhood days. TWIN SANDBARS with white powdery sand awaits you there. And friendly locals too.
oh well, that's his 2019 top 10 vlog... his 2020 top 10 vlog, Coron became #2 and the islands of Batanes province became his #1... check that out... as regards typhoon in PH, we Filipinos are used to it already... in a year typhoons sometimes reached up to letter W of the alphabet as we named our typhoons (usually girl's name) starting with letter "A".. typhoon category in PH is categorized by wind speed and is assigned a signal number, like Signal #1 if its not strong... we will be worried if the category is super typhoon... that's why we usually build our house that will withstand several typhoons

When big typhoons come those who live in the affected areas are evacuated to higher grounds where schools, gyms, ect. are assigned as tempprary shelter for them (evacuation centers). Tsunamis are uncommon here actually, maybe once in a blue moon in a handful of the island provinces facing the Pacific ocean. It's commonly known as tidal wave to locals🙂
Don't forget on your list, BOHOL ISLAND, With Chocolate Hills there, also with wonderful beaches and resorts, and the tiny wonder called Tarsier, found also the most clean river with floating restaurants and the best menus too, Excited to watch you both roaming in the Philippines, Thanks and God bless, You must celebrate Christmas and New Year too here, the best in the whole world 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
I’m glad you reacted Finns snow one of my favorite blogger and Becoming Pilipino Kyle Jenner this two guys travel most of the Philippines islands and remote part of the country and 8miles from home who visited Philippines before pandemic got caught, can’t leave ended up living and raising there daughter in Philippines until now .
I'm from the municipality of Carles, where Gigantes Island is. Carles is the last town of Northern Iloilo. This is one of the destination during summer, and it's crowded. You will enjoy the beauty of the Island if its not crowded.
Finn Snow has gone to more destinations since this video. He has lived in different islands. He’s now married to Sherlyn, a diver and beauty queen. I’ve recently visited Coron. We soent 4 days in the area but it was not enough to see all the beautiful islands and sights. Need to go back for the other islands.
Of all the islands that I have visited in the Philippines, my top 3 would be 1.Coron, Palawan 2.El Nido, Palawan 3.Siquijor. Like Finn Snow, i also prefer Coron over El Nido because it has more island vibes there and my favorite is Malcapuya island. I never been to Siargao and Balabac, Palawan so I didn’t include those islands. Been to Boracay 3 times and it’s very touristy. 22:00 Palawan is the only province in the Philippines which has no fault lines and it’s the safest place when it comes to earthquakes.
The houses built on the seashore usually are the Badjao tribes, we call them Sea Gypsies. But there are fishing villages like that on Southern part of the Philippines.
With the beautiful islands, The Philippines is also the Typhoon Capital of the World, the strongest typhoon in the world is recorded in the Philippines due to its Geographical location.
Amazing island in the Philippines, if you want to expirience a different kind of paradise you should have to go to the philliphines.. ❤, yah my #1 is coron Palawan..
I remember watching a post from a British couple named 800 miles from home who lived in Siargao and that their house was destroyed by the typhoon. The locals of Siargao helped to rebuilt their home in a much bigger and stronger ones. In times of dire situations, the welcoming and helpful hands of filipinos always been there for you. No wonder why foreigners choose to live in the country.
Really interesting how so many westerners are now wanting to come to Asia, some even choosing to live here, when before it's just Asians (esp. Filipinos) wanting to go and live in western countries. It sometimes feels to me like the world has been turned upside down almost. I think it's largely due to the internet and vloggers showing all these amazing places here that even we Filipinos didn't even know about. And yeah, i've been to Boracay when i was very young, and while i found it stunningly beautiful, i thought at the time that maybe there are even more beautiful beaches in other countries. But it's only the last few years when i realized it's actually one of the most beautiful in the world. So yeah, i'm thankful to vloggers for making me realize how beautiful our country actually is. And btw, we also won World's Leading Beach Destination and Dive Destination in the World Travel Awards 2022 and 2023. :)
Well it’s all that and also our dollar goes further, western world has fallen into complete lawlessness and chaos. There’s zero healthcare for citizens and the crime rates are unreal. I also despise the USA because they are the biggest bullies of the world. Always hurting other countries and innocent people for their own monetary gain. I don’t want my name attached to a country that does evil things like that.
Can't wait for your PH vlogs.. I can see your excitement just by watching this vid. How much more if you're already here experiencing the beauty of the Philippines.. 😊 Thank you for loving our country.. ❤
Aww I love this reaction! Can't wait to see your adventures in the Philippines! Being a filipino myself I barely even scratch the surface of my home country! I wish you both great memories and happiness on your journey!❤
I’ve been in coron and it was really fun, the island is so amazing the people the food even the tour guide is very entertaining..hope you visit there soon also😊
The only places I know that he mentioned is El Nido and Coron. Also, I think it is Surigao not Siargao. I am not into waterfalls, lagoons, caves, secluded areas (Am scared being in those places). I can be on those white sand beaches but not go into the water. I don't even like getting into swimming pools. But thanks for this Reaction video. It was fun and educational.
So excited for you guys! Please bring us on your journey. I live in Manila and I myself have not travelled much around the Philippines. I’m amazed too how beautiful my country is. I am sure you will have an amazing time here. 🤗
Okk I'm actually worried you have this very wholesome positive image of PH and when you come here, we don't deliver all the expectations. 😅 I mean I'm proud of our natural resources and the community but we can't guarantee to meet all of it. But I'll say this, if you guys do not let measly things and the heat ruin your trip here then you'll be fine. Thanks for appreciating PH! ❤😊
Kalanggaman islands I mentioned to you guys the last time I commented is still a fairly new tourist spot. This is in Leyte where I grew up. Thank you for admiring our country’s beauty🇵🇭💕. Typhoons comes through the Philippines even bigger than hurricanes here in the U.S.
Balabac, Palawan is already near Malaysia. Yes army checkpoints. We are escorted by marines when we get there for our medical mission. True powdery sand, pink, water is crystal clear. Balabac is a Muslim area. Coron😘 👌 He didn't mention Port Barton also the best.
Them BTS visit Palawan before 2016 or 2017 and their reaction is super hot country according from Suga...i think they even visit that blk island,.✌️👍🤩💜
You can start from the North which is Batanes Islands, Paoay Ilocos Norte, Vigan Ilocos Sur, Baler Aurora, Hundred Islands and Bolinao in Pangasinan, Zambales, Batangas and Quezon. These areas are within Luzon. Most of Finns videos are from Southern Luzon to Visayas. You can also visit Bohol and Zamboanga. There are so many places to visit actually.

What are you waiting for? Come & visit NOW the beautiful islands of The Philippines. It's more fun in The Philippines!!!🇵🇭 MABUHAY!!!
Ok thanks ☺️
Hi D&J,local filipinos when they built houses mostly don't have machine to used just a hard work, and if you built a house in the Philippines built in concrete even you live in inland or island so if there's hurricane arrives your house still okay,a lot cheaper to built a concrete house in the Philippines compare here in the usa😊
Thanks for sharing this with us
Proud to say I’ve to most of the places mentioned except, Taytay, Siargao & Balabac. Though plan is in place for a Balabac trip
I’ll have to research Balabac more
Coron is such a beauty! I agree with it being number 1.
Can’t for you guys to come visit our beloved Philippines! We are waiting , just let us know 😊
Very soon!
I started watching fin during pandemic bc I missed my native land & I was so amazed by his vlog bc I didn’t get a chance to go to where he went. I only stay in luzon in my 30yrs there😂 I know his gf is filipina & he really enjoys his stay in Pinas. Glad you found him. There were other guys with him before. Check out “becoming Filipino,” he’s Canadian that became Pinoy when u get a chance 🙏🏻♥️🤗
The problem now is the drought, I heard. Hope it will not long. Summer is March and April. Usually middle of May it starts raining.
Thanks for your suggestions 😊

Caramoan was the site of the popular reality show, Survivor. It was Survivor 26 I think. The previous season Survivor 25 was also held in the Philippine Islands, and that season was so good it's widely regarded as the Season that saved Survivor from being cancelled. After Survivor 25, the next 3 Survivor editions were held in the Philippines because of the beautiful islands here and the cooperation of the locals in helping with the preparations of the events.
Oh wow
Palawan Island my beautiful home province. An island with beautiful little island
Philippine’s Tagline during Rainy Season while hanging out at the evacuation Centre
“ Its just a storm,We’re Filipinos “ lol buy Its always fun! 😆
Amazing 🤩 🇵🇭❤️❤️
Did he recommend the enchanted river HINUTUAN RIVER IN SURIGAO? MUST HAVE MISSED IT
It’s in our 5hr live stream from Thursday
I’m not sure if my memory is correct but I remember that the family of Finn’s girlfriend has land property in the Philippines. The land was left empty for a long time so that may be the plot of land that Finn is building his home on.
Ah I see. He just contacted me about doing a live stream in the next couple of weeks. That should be a fun live🤩💜🇵🇭
You will enjoy here in the Philippines once you get here.
I know we will. Just based off how sweet everyone has been from the Philippines to us. Feels like I have a second family already🇵🇭❤️
@@TripTipsPodcast yes of course and you both are welcome here in the Philippines 🇵🇭 salamat po 🙏
That’s good they get out quick
We are so blessed by God as a Filipino.theres so much fun in the Philippines ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ugh I can wait 🤩🇵🇭💜
I keep looking around for a cat whenever I watch your videos, after a while I realize it’s your cat lol😅.
Love that!😂
Finn is one of the "Fighter Boys", check them out and also "Becoming Filipino" who's already a filipino citizen.
Been looking into their channel earlier. Pretty cool
Thanks for reacting to this. I recommend watching the 2020 version too. Coron has been knocked off the top spot. Find out why. 😊
Agree
❤❤❤❤❤
Up for this

@@TripTipsPodcast As much as I appreciate your videos about the Philippines I am not really into KPop music. I am just here for the Philippine reactions. I think I am in the minority. Just a homesick dude working abroad.

We’re happy to have you on our channel. Glad you’re enjoying our travel and culture videos. We have plenty more coming soon. Plus we’re moving to the Philippines this November and plan on vlogging as we travel through Asia.
Thanks for watching and for your support 😊👍😊👍
When big typhoons come those who live in the affected areas are evacuated to higher grounds where schools, gyms, ect. are assigned as tempprary shelter for them (evacuation centers). Tsunamis are uncommon here actually, maybe once in a blue moon in a handful of the island provinces facing the Pacific ocean. It's commonly known as tidal wave to locals🙂
So scary
Finn Snow tubataha reef vlog gonna blow your mind, highly recommend.
Talked to him. We go live in a few months. He’s busy guy
True.
we just smile and rebuild
Agree po
Don't forget on your list, BOHOL ISLAND, With Chocolate Hills there, also with wonderful beaches and resorts, and the tiny wonder called Tarsier, found also the most clean river with floating restaurants and the best menus too, Excited to watch you both roaming in the Philippines, Thanks and God bless,
You must celebrate Christmas and New Year too here, the best in the whole world 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
We plan on it. See you out there for Christmas 🎄 ❤️🇵🇭
Okay good to know thank you
Finn Snow has gone to more destinations since this video. He has lived in different islands. He’s now married to Sherlyn, a diver and beauty queen.
I’ve recently visited Coron. We
soent 4 days in the area but it was not enough to see all the beautiful islands and sights. Need to go back for the other islands.
Hope I can have Finn on a live stream soon. To talk all things philippines
Thanks for sharing this with us
Vlogging with a purpose that's finn snow amazing guy
Might be going live with him in the next couple of months
Us in mindanao we barely have typhoon or tsunami coz we are not flat ground like florida
We have mountains around us
And if you ever live here in the philippines we can call you dandan and je-je.
lol I love my name dandan😂🇵🇭❤️
The houses built on the seashore usually are the Badjao tribes, we call them Sea Gypsies. But there are fishing villages like that on Southern part of the Philippines.
Finnsnow is one of the best foreign vloggers who have made the Philippines their 2nd home.
Absolutely great guy.
We messaged each other. Said after his vacation we can schedule a live stream
@@TripTipsPodcast 👏💯👍
With the beautiful islands, The Philippines is also the Typhoon Capital of the World, the strongest typhoon in the world is recorded in the Philippines due to its Geographical location.
We heard. Thats scary. Still beautiful though so it’s worth it 🤩❤️🇵🇭
Amazing island in the Philippines, if you want to expirience a different kind of paradise you should have to go to the philliphines.. ❤, yah my #1 is coron Palawan..
Okay will do ❤️🤩🇵🇭
I remember watching a post from a British couple named 800 miles from home who lived in Siargao and that their house was destroyed by the typhoon. The locals of Siargao helped to rebuilt their home in a much bigger and stronger ones. In times of dire situations, the welcoming and helpful hands of filipinos always been there for you. No wonder why foreigners choose to live in the country.
Wow that’s so beautiful the Filipino people came to the rescue. They are such beautiful souls ❤️🇵🇭
I can’t even describe how excited I am to come and show the world how beautiful the people and the landscape is in 🇵🇭❤️❤️❤️
Aww I love this reaction! Can't wait to see your adventures in the Philippines! Being a filipino myself I barely even scratch the surface of my home country! I wish you both great memories and happiness on your journey!❤

@@maeyang1991 I can’t even describe how excited we are to come to the Philippines 🇵🇭 🤩❤️
Yes SURVIVOR was entirely shot in Caramoan group of Islands.
Absolutely ❤️
So excited for you guys! Please bring us on your journey. I live in Manila and I myself have not travelled much around the Philippines. I’m amazed too how beautiful my country is. I am sure you will have an amazing time here. 🤗
We will bring you in the journey. We will live stream as much as the internet allows out there 😊🇵🇭❤️
FINN SNOW is working NOW with DEPARTMENT of TOURISM and NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC where He Bought a YATCH and was used by ATTENBOROUGH of NAT-GEO
Proud of him. Been watching his channel since 2019
Okk I'm actually worried you have this very wholesome positive image of PH and when you come here, we don't deliver all the expectations. 😅
I mean I'm proud of our natural resources and the community but we can't guarantee to meet all of it. But I'll say this, if you guys do not let measly things and the heat ruin your trip here then you'll be fine. Thanks for appreciating PH! ❤😊
We are from Florida. We can handle heat. We will love the PH❤️
oh YES! BALABAC! A PARADISE INDEED. I’ve been there. Many Islands. Beautiful Island. Very far but worth it.👌👌
I’ll def check it out
Kalanggaman islands I mentioned to you guys the last time I commented is still a fairly new tourist spot. This is in Leyte where I grew up.
Thank you for admiring our country’s beauty🇵🇭💕.
Typhoons comes through the Philippines even bigger than hurricanes here in the U.S.
😊❤️😊❤️
Finn Snow built his home in Dumaguete not in Cebu...
Thanks for the correction 🙏
Balabac, Palawan is already near Malaysia. Yes army checkpoints. We are escorted by marines when we get there for our medical mission. True powdery sand, pink, water is crystal clear. Balabac is a Muslim area.
Coron😘 👌
He didn't mention Port Barton also the best.
El Nido, Palawan of course. 1 hour away from Taytay. If you want party vibe, good restaurants and island hoping just go here.
👍👍
Them BTS visit Palawan before 2016 or 2017 and their reaction is super hot country according from Suga...i think they even visit that blk island,.✌️👍🤩💜
Can’t wait to check it out
You can start from the North which is Batanes Islands, Paoay Ilocos Norte, Vigan Ilocos Sur, Baler Aurora, Hundred Islands and Bolinao in Pangasinan, Zambales, Batangas and Quezon. These areas are within Luzon. Most of Finns videos are from Southern Luzon to Visayas. You can also visit Bohol and Zamboanga. There are so many places to visit actually.
