Those issues, 99-102, were published by his own Rude Dude Productions. I own his breakdowns for issue 101. Cool to see the entire issue layed out on one page.

Nexus is incredible. I can't forget the issue that heavily influenced a certain design in Watchmen. Oh and Steve Rude is a treasure, even if Toth criticized him xD.

Steve Rude has a support system because he is bipolar. There's a documentary called Rude Dude that looks at his disorder and the complications it has caused him and his family. A super talented artist constantly dealing with his demons.
Toth, Manning, Kirby, Nolan... and there's also some Kevin Maguire in there too. It's kind of an amalgam of all of these influences, or maybe cross-pollination!
Love me some Rude Dude. His clean, almost like advertising illustration style has been in my mind since that World's Finest comic that he did with Dave Gibbons and Kesel and Oliff.
I have fond memories of his Nexus comic with Baron. It was always a treat to read and savor it. My all time favorite character. Perfect blend of sci-fi and humor. A genius!

Why is there no shoot interview?
I was about to buy the last copy for a not-so-crazy-kayfabe effect price on Amazon, but I hesitate, went to lunch and BAM gone. I was lucky enough to get the last copy for around 100 euro at another place. I think it's impossible to find for less than 500 dollars now

I was wondering if you guys would ever make a video on aircel comics. I find the history behind that company pretty interesting and I also like a couple of their titles like elflord and samurai. I like their erotica stuff too! Nah jk. Or maybe poison elves since that was one of the longest running independent comics made by just a single person. Rest in peace drew hayes.
