[Augsburg] German Firefighting Convoy Responding x2!!

- Captured here is the Augsburg Fire Department in the south German state of Bavaria. While visiting the city's main fire station I managed to catch two fire calls for the firefighters. You will see the command-van, spare rescue engine (Mercedes), a turntable ladder, emergency ambulance, and one of the newer Volvo rescue engines responding with lights and sirens. Yes, that’s still somewhat rare in most German cities, but it is becoming more common (Volvo, Scania, Iveco etc.)
Yea I saw that, tried to avoid filming it lol
@@TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses Iveco is quite popular especially in rural areas, Scania is going strong in the past two years but Volvo indeed remains quite rare to this day. Probably just a matter of time until Ford trucks try to get a share of the market in central Europe as well
I’m glad that Scania is becoming more popular in Germany. Those trucks are an absolute favorite of mine! However I think the local brands, like Mercedes and MAN, will still have the advantage for years to come.
@@TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses I agree, domestic brands will still be dominating the market for a few years, however Scania was chosen also at departments where I was rather surprised, like some big city departments which always had Mercedes or MAN with maybe one exception ^^
We got our 2nd Scania truck at the volunteer FD in our village last year; Now there are 10 units at the station, two of them being Scania Pod Carriers
