At least they removed the german suplex reversal

Oh yes thankfully! I keep waiting for that that suplex spot in 23 and so happy it’s now a leg chop lol
My favorite reversal for the suplex is just the knee to the head because it's a nice transition to anything

The weapon taunts are a nice touch but I wish they would bring back weapon grapples and interactions such as getting someone’s foot stuck in the chair or the ability to do conchairtoes
The foot in the chair gimmick was in when i tried it a couple days ago but it might've been patched out since it didn't register properly.
Another thing I think would be great more weapon use like from back in the old days when you could put there head in the chair on the ground and stomp on it or the leg and stomp or jump off the top ropes crushing there leg or neck in the folded chair on there head or leg not only that weapon specials from 2009 smack down vs raw featuring ECW when the ring bell could be grabbed along with the tittle belt from who ever had it back in the announcer bell keep area for a weapon but the chair mechanics being able to run with a chair with rob van damn and jump and kick the chair into there face or if they was laying down you could run and jump and put the chair on your midsection with rob van damn and body splash them with a chair adding damage but taking some yourself by doing such a move or simply being able to grab someone with a chair and they put the chair to there throat and slam it into the ring jamming the chair into the neck old school WWE games had many more weapon mechanics now those need to come back with new added one to the new games with the improved fighting styles graphics and the simple combat mechanics now weapon moves and specials would be perfect yeah the ladder in TLC LADDER MATHCES AND MOB MONEY IN THE BANK THAT YOU CAN bridge and put them on and break them through it that’s cool but like let us also be able to lay a ladder in the ring on top of them and dive onto it or on the mat putting then on top of it also diving to cause more damage bring old weapons mechanics back along with creating all new ones also
Universe mode is rough tho
Champions making their entrance as "the champion champion", when I select titles to defend it turns out a non-title match, suddenly the match I set up will have different participants, etc.
It's too frustrating too play.
I still wish 2k added promos to universe mode
They need to fix trio entrances for Universe Mode. You can't edit/create any. Even the main menu screen for tag teams is bugged and you have to go into another menu to make/edit them. That second menu doesn't exist in universe mode so there's no way to do it. Managers are also bugged. People have also mentioned that their single matches are somehow tag matches when played and vice-versa.
I think the problem with mygm is that they are building it like a competition mode. Not just a regular „i manage my roster etc.“. thing. I wish the roster management with a budget can find a way into universe mode.
Thats what we wanted, they took the nba 2k route of it which isnt bad but the mode should have everything universe has

@@MrTreyshawn22 yes. It is. Before mynba came out only a few years ago. My GM and normal control everything season mode. Were separate.
The wrestling game is doing it the old way
They keep expanding backstage brawl and we get to a point where you have multiple places we can go through like the old games
Thank you for going in depth about the blood physics. Not a lot of people talk about it. It does look a little bit better but i believe it should drip onto chest and maybe even on the mat. There is room for improvement with blood/bruising. Thanks again! I really want to be able to have hardcore matces and have those effects.

I think the facial bruising is pretty good in most aspects, but I agree with most of what you said.
If they have blood drip on chest and mat then they will get a M rating and that's not what 2k wants. AEW fight forever just went through that.
It says in the esrb website that the teen rating only allows minimal blood, so thats the reason (but it would be cool if they allowed)
@@ThatUltra they can do more than that and still keep the T rating. Take a look at AEW and other teen games. A lot of the older 2k games had those affects.

This is kinda crazy and cool but you know that drew and Sheamus can work together in battle royals and Royal rumble even tho they not set as a tag team or neither as each other Managers
I do got to say universe mode is so fun, the rivalry actions need a bit of work but to be expected with a new system but still fun to use, the Ai is fun to watch this year and its all around a really fun game, and all the small details are just a chefs kiss. I’m loving it, hopefully myrise next year the story continues were it left off at the end of the lock. Keep up the great work man
Rival Systems makes Universe Mode fun. We just need a draft and tournaments.

I'm glad that they didn't use solid red for the WCW logo. Because they never used that in "WCW. The orangish gold with the flames is perfect.

The Offline play is smooth ! But the Online Play is so BROKEN. I hope they fix this ASAP ‼️
I too wish they could do 3 and 4 way title matches in GM mode. You should be able to. Also, I feel like injuries are out of control this year

Any chance you can address the problems with Universe mode. More specifically that you can't create trio entrances, managers selected don't work and you can't use the bloodline.

but it was never possible to create entry of trios, only use the ones that already had there
and to use the Bloodline, you need to delete the Uses and create from zero
@BigChungusY it was definitely possible in 2k22. I created a lot of factions. This is really annoying and needs fixing.
I've noticed while creating custom intro's when adding pyro or light shows...it turns that section black and white once you complete it. You have to go into the area you added the pyro or lights...add a screen effect, save, load back up go in and delete the newly added screen effect, and the black and white screen should be gone. Needs to be fixed. Maybe you could mention this for those who are also running into this issue.
Idk if this was in last years but I noticed it this year, bruises and stuff appear on you and your opponent after matched
I finished showcase today liked it a little bit more but showcase is still just boring they need to to do something with it
Something I feel like nobody is talking about is a minor one but Umaga's theme is updated in the game compared to last year! This is the version i have always liked. 😁

Annoying thing for me is in Universe Mode, you set the rivalry cut scene and it automatically turns off the entrances. Might seem like nothing to some people but I play Universe Mode for immersion, if I wanted to turn entrances off, I would have done so myself. Skipping the entrance for no real reason is just annoying.
I agree, they also got rid of the show intros and promos which was the main reason I played it.
Yes I hate this. Also for cutscenes that do allow the entrance to play the champions won’t come out with their belt

Honestly the ring break can be annoying considering how you don’t know when it triggers and let’s say you’re doing a spot for universe mode or something and you still wanna do more after it, when the ring breaks and the match ends you just sit there like…
Universe Mode don’t have the managers come out with the assigned superstar. Like Roman w/ Paul Heyman, hope they update that. And update Sami Zayns theme song
I'm loving Universe mode so far and it feels a lot funner too and I watched the tag team match and learned the CPU reacted fast on a reversal during a turnbuckle move.
The blood, the beautiful blood. The new blood mechanics, add the dripping effect then you got the most realistic blood mechanics
ALSO!! This is HUGE for me but raise Referee down time and they actually stay down for a long time. They also count slow once they get up
They still don't for me, even at 100

I absolutely love WWE 2K23, it’s so fun. I love myrise, they got rid of that stupid face/heel thing.
I hate the rivalry actions system. It keeps changing all my saved tag matches to 1 on 1, and skips all the entrances to go straight to the cut scenes. I pretty much exclusively play Universe mode, but the new system changing most of the matches I set is driving me so crazy, I haven't enjoyed it at all yet.
You can change the actions yourself. You just lazy lol
@@Bobbyloud I tried 3 times. It still changed tag matches to singles with just 1 member of each team.
Hey just a thought. No one has done a video about the new sliders and what they mean. It would be really helpful to get a video about that out.
I really hope they post a dev blog where they just explain every single slider that they have. No one has the time to tweak one and get into a match and try to figure out what that slider does. Like yeah some are common sense but some just like stated in the video seems so vague or confusing to what it actually does for a match, player, or A.I but overall i am really loving 2K23. Definitely an improvement over 22
I wish they improved the entrances like with the titantrons. Most wrestlers don't have proper titantrons.
I just wish they would fuse GM mode and WWE universe together

Another tip
If you adjust those advance pin sliders that says HUM and A.I, it'll affect how you or the A.I kicks out of a pin. The lower the number the easier it is to kick out and the higher the number, the harder it will be. Also, play around with damage recovery. If you want those realistic matches on legend difficulty where the ai loses to 1 finisher, then ai damage recovery will be your best friend.
How ???? I played Brock vs reggie and it took me 3 F5 to beat ‘em …plzzz tell me the secret
@kodakblue600 if you go to options and then go to the adavnce tab, you can adjust the pin options based on what i mentioned above.
@@Tha-Gayle A.I damage recovery Isn’t working on legend difficulty. The A.I still kicking out of multiple finishers. On hard difficulty it works a lot better but the matches doesn’t feel as great as playing on legend difficulty. My only option was to play on hard difficulty and max out the A.I reversals sliders for a great wrestling experience ….Still wish I could play on legend without the A.I kicking out of the R.k.o every match.
Hey man, to lose to 1 finisher should the damage recovery optiom be maxed out for it to happen thatbway? Both hum and AI
@kodakblue600 did you maxed out A.I signature and finisher settings as well? If not make sure to do that. Also, dont be doing a finisher unless the opponent health is low and a body part is on on red. Ive just had multiple matches where the opponent lost to signatures in universe and my settings not even maxed out. They are all on 65.
This was a real good update video cause I for one needed a lil bit more info on the new pin system sliders
Wish we could slam opponents onto the bottom part of steps.
Wish they would add action moves with weapons again (chair to gut, then a ddt... Vandamninator)
Refs need to be fixed and not take so long to get into position
Also tag partners getting to break up pins so fast, and multi person matches are still a disaster.

I REALLY hope they patch in title matches for Triple Threat and Fatal-4-Way.
I strictly play that mode atm bc it's the most fun to me.

Thanks Matt for the explanation on the timed pin mini game sliders cause I honestly had no clue what those meant at all.
My favorite thing about the blood this year is it seems like it comes from a lot more parts of the face rather than the same sort of pattern every time. Can bleed from the top of the head, the bridge of the nose, side of the head, eyebrow, definitely an improvement

Awesome thank you for showing the sliders. I was so pissed that they changed it to that fast-moving bar. It’s been almost near impossible to kick out of when last year I could kick out with the smallest amount left and not get pinned. Excited to try this out when I get home today!

One thing I dislike about the new and improved universe mode is that they removed the Next Match feature. A small removal admittedly, but I hate having to go all the way back to the match Card just to go to the next match
They also removed the show intros w/pyro and also eliminated the promos which broke the immersion for me
For every 5 things they add they take out 5 more things…
I didn't have flaming tables last year because whenever I'd get near them it would collapse so that's a good update...
Love your videos. But honestly guys. We get so happy about detail. It's to the point it's over everything else like new cut scenes for universe or new match types no no no....who need tht whn yu can finally pick up a chair tht the guy was jus sitting in at ringside lol. The best feature they added
1 counts are more applicable in strong style and puroresu matches. I'm glad we have the option
Another way to use alternate attacks backstage is to drag them to the car and hit X on PS or A on XB when the square or X prompt shows up.
man do i really miss omg momments, it’s something about them just being regular moves that doesn’t give me the same satisfaction
Yeah because they don't do as much damage they don't make that much of an impact in a match either
Great so far, just tired of the stats being so astronomically wrong for universe mode. Please tell them to update this, that is a huge part of why I play. I love my WWE history breaking moments.
I hate how the new ring break works. Sometimes I'd rather just do a superplex than have my match end unexpectedly.
Holding A/X is what triggers it. Just tap the button instead and it won't do it.
I love the my GM universe mode and when you can make it easier to kick out of a pin in the advanced stetting on gameplay timing pin mini game it's really really good. Good job for showing it to me and let Matt hit 100k subscribers by the end of 2023 plz.
The triple threat and fatal four way matches on GM mode NEED that title match option in a patch soon. I barely use these modes because there is no title to make the match "worth it". Better to save stamina on the roster for now imo.
It’s useful if you have a ppv and want to conclude rivalries but don’t have enough slots for every match. We do need the title matches agree tho
I would love to be able to use the ring bell again or use weapons from the crowd
i am glad quite a few of the moves from last year game returned and i wonder if down the road endless matches may return from last year game when we just have to set it up

The sliders are next level! The ring bell besides the title belt is the most powerful weapon in professional wrestling. They probably didn’t add it in because it hasn’t been used in wrestling for a while. Wwe tells 2k what they want in the game.
Controversial opinion but I hate the way ring break is set up, like one time I had a match vs Kane and undertaker and it was really cooking then I go to the top rope and destroy the ring, completely ruining the flow of the match, I feel like it should still be an omg moment especially considering those two wouldn't break the ring lol
I’m big on backstage brawl and it’s crazy these updates are crazy good

thank you for making the game feeling better and faster then WWE 2K22, it was nice, awesome and easier to play it especially with the different pinning systems, there even more matches, more characters and more clothes and more outfits then last year, although, i didn't see the old appropriate matches that were suppose to be in the game, i miss those matches, they were incredible, and some advance in-ring needs an update too. and fix the servers, i don't think it was because of the hundred overalls, the game was also lagging because of the owner, and their missing almost everything from WWE 2K19, including the easy creation entrances, that should of been in WWE 2K23 as well.
For the spotlight, after knocking the railing, you could do a light combo and hit them to fall off.
There’s no reason why the backstage brawl area does not have the backstage area with the locker rooms and catering that was in 2K19, especially when they have that backstage area used in storyline my rise when talking to other wrestlers
I know I loved that backstage area it was so more realistic and had a lot of places to go and more things to do
I think the announcers table one is a glitch, because it’s happened to me before when I haven’t even removed the top part and cleared it, I’ve had it just randomly break when someone’s leg has clipped it.

I haven't tested it yet, but I hope they let you change the elimination chamber type now. The option has been there for the last several entries but we never could adjust it.

Innovations (that come to mind quickly) wich I would have expected in 2023:
- Tap out animations when someone gives up.
- No movement when defeated by pass out moves.
- Realistic blood effects like in UFC games.
- Coop Tag Team Story mode to create a shared experience with friends.
- Coop / Online GM mode up to 4 players to compete with or against friends. (More co-op options can certainly mean more copies sold and could bring people into the genre who would never have played it on their own. Also good for Twitch streams., so I don't see why it hasn't been implemented long ago.)
- Speaking of Twitch Stream: Opportunities to let viewers rate fights or make other decisions that you can include as a streamer without having to call up polls or bets separately.

While I enjoyed 2K22, I'm loving 2K23. This game is a great step forward from the foundation laid in the previous release and it will hopefully only get better from here on out.
One ongoing issue however that started with 2K22 , is the fact that there are still a good number of create a superstar parts that don't work properly. For instance: I'm a big fan of Shayna Baszler and like to make alternate attires for her but there's constant issues I'm finding where the materials will work for say her top but the tights don't work properly. And it's not just her I've had this issue with.
There are actually create a superstar parts that worked properly in 22 that don't in 23.
They'll probably get that patched soon, it's still a very newly released game
The removal of quick grapples was a huge step backwards though. They need to return those.

@@hunte5748 Hopefully. The bugs in the creation suite were never taken care of in 22 unfortunately.
I’ve always hoped they would add more animations for weapons in particular the chair as the one attack seems quite slow unless you run and attack I think it would be cool to have the slow attack as a heavy attack(X or A) and a quicker attack to the side of the body using a light attack(Square or X) hope they also implement grapples with the chair like you used to be able to do a ddt on the chair by using a grapple or put the chair around someone’s neck while they’re down
Or those ladder grapples if the ladder is wedges to the corner
@@BillFinger27 yes they took out so many animations and just never put them back in. I know they had to completely rewrite the code after 2K20 so hopefully we get that stuff back next year

Great video as usual! Loved the info at the end on sliders. I'd love to see a video dedicated to what all the different sliders actually affect. Some of them are pretty ambiguous but the tunability of this game feels much better than 2k22. Keep up the great work!
I wish they made the large WCW (or even any of the variations in MyGM mode) Titantron available for play and Universe mode.
They took away online entrances and victory scenes when there’s more than 3 wrestlers, they also removed online custom matches if it’s more than 2 v 2
Considering 2k has open world for nba why couldn't we at least get a free roam backstage in my rise

The AI in this game is amazing to me. I sim my Universe and had Usos defend their SD titles against a makeshift team of Brock and someone and they were about to lose when Jimmy went outside with Brock and as the countout went to 8 Brock slid inside and usually, the AI will follow suit but not Jimmy. He went for a walk around the ring until it got to 10 and the Usos kept the titles. It was just interesting to me that the AI did this. Also, in Universe Mode, if you want Wargames on a random RAW, NXT, or SD you can just custom match it and it will work. It gives you the NXT arena but it still works.
Thanks again for putting this out but some of those Rivalry actions are broken. I have come across some where when the cut scene comes on, one of the Superstars is missing where it looks like an invisible person is performing the actions. Another issue in Universe mode is the trio entrances don't work correctly and you cannot edit it. For example, I added Mandy Rose to Toxic Attraction but she comes out doing Jacy Jayne's action and it does not give any option in Universe mode to edit the trio entrances so we can assign the proper action to the correct person. Hope this gets patched in the next update.
Yes it does actually…I just did it with Gunther and imperium. The exact same issue you described. Go in the team edit and go to trio entrance together and open up the entrances, scroll to the bottom and you can change them accordingly.
@@angelserrano9049 you must be talking about the trio victory motion cause other than that, there is no option to edit trio entrances in Universe mode.

I apologize, but however I went in just now to see how I was able to do it before because I forgot but now I see that you just have to put Mandy Rose as the third member of your stable instead of as the first member. the first two members are only for the tag teams and the third member is the leader. it sounds weird but that’s how it is
@Angel Serrano that what I did. I put Jacy Jayne and GiGi as the Tag Team and added Mandy as the 3rd member and she came out doing Jacy's motion.
@@wwedivasfan9490 scratch that last part I said because that was wrong again 😂I actually went and did the toxic attraction trios and you’re exactly right about how they come out so what I did was put Mandy as the first partner Gigi as the second partner and Jacy as the third member. Trust me this time because I made sure and double checked the entrance and they all came out correctly putting them this way.👍🏼👍🏼🔥🔥
I remember back in 12, 13 and 14 you were like able to climb on top of the announcers table and just do a normal move but we won't get that again because these games now are just 3D move
We can now change the pin system in wwe 2k23 to rapid system in wwe 2k23
You could do that from launch before any patches.
@Assemble a problem I ran into is in regards to universe mode as I’ve been running into to a problem is with the bloodline entrance in being able to get it to work in universe mode as of now i don’t know of away to be able to get it to work in universe mode.
Show case mode where I just needed to give Cena one last f5 in the 2014 summerslam match was driving me crazy. Brock kept doing to Camorra lock instead.
hey is there a way to slow the momentum in universe mode? i want the signature and finisher bars to fill slower.
Also I would like the ability to pick up broken pieces of the weapon I used. Even MyGm be able to have save type wrestler fight if they are face/ heel like Heel cruiser vs face cruiser

Question… does anyone get like tag matches in universe, and it randomly turns into a 1 on 1 match
I’d love it if we could get weapon reversals where if I’m holding a weapon and someone tries to hit me I could reverse. Like Maybe duck under their punch they get turned around and I can hit them with a weapon.
Great game but some weird changes. for example if you use the hart foundation, they don’t say Jim the anvil neidhart. The crowd doesn’t seem to yell one fall anymore. Still can’t break ladders and tables leaning on the ropes, or the corner for that matter with the ladder that I can. In older games I liked that you could knee the opponent in the head when draped over the middle rope. Can’t do that anymore. I do like the fact that if you add someone to a team the announcer will announce the proper weight. Like adding yoko to the bloodline puts them over 1000 pounds but having Sami in is only 800. Wish they updated some legends models too.
Lots of good info in here! Question on the timing pin mini-game... can you still disable that in favor of the old school button mash?
Two things I’ve noticed is the Zig Zag is totally glitched it’s takes 2-3 times to for the wrestler to actually do it, and in universe I haven’t been getting the bloodline entrance. Loving the game so far tho.
