PEAK 2024 Pharaoh Highlights

Pharaoh, a young Arabian Cross, came to CHR in October 2022 after being seized by animal control. He was severely malnourished and neglected. With time, care, and love, he blossomed, gaining both weight and a playful personality.
Over the past 100 days, PEAK trainer Cayla Stone worked tirelessly with Pharaoh, helping him build muscle and learn to use his body correctly. He showed remarkable talent in dressage and cross country.
This past Sunday, at the PEAK Training Challenge, Pharaoh dazzled the audience with his incredible transformation and even won the People’s Choice Award!
Cayla shared, “He may not have been the most relaxed as he could have been in the trail course, but he tried his best and did every obstacle. Just added his own little flair. That’s what makes him Pharaoh! He really nailed it in the freestyle, and I don’t think I could’ve asked for more! I almost chickened out of doing the ride tackless, but I’m glad I trusted him because he gave me his all!”
One judge praised, “Love the combination of dressage and jumping. Your choice of maneuvers showed this horse at his best. The confidence this horse and rider showed in each other was truly impressive.”
