You can really see the strength work she's done with this horse. All that passage and the absolute elevation in the trot and canter.
That free shoulder comes from tremendous core strength.
Free shoulder 😆😆😆open mouth constantly, behind the vertical always, crampy back. This horse is an abused wreck. Learn reading horses
finally someone that spoke. That horse is CLEARLY behind the vertical and its making so hard to breathe for him, you can literally see how stressed he is.. Its actually sad that so many people are taking inspiration from this horrible riding. also so many gates are broken, its just sad.@@dog2484
@@nearestbackyardlobotomyFr and no one is admitting it in the comments and the FEI doesn’t even care

I’ll never forgot when I sat there and watching them and the second her first extended canter started, everyone around us started went like “omg that canter” and you can hear it as well on the video. I was there to see Cathrine Dufojr primary, but this was definitely one of the most memorable things I’ve ever witnessed.
That extended canter, made me cry, happy
This is amazing made me cry great horse and rider
Im a german and i dont know anything about horses, which minute?
Super belle performance !! Félicitations !!❤❤ Elle est trop forte !! ❤❤❤❤❤
Originally horses trained for warfare like this. Knights trained their war horses to do this. Beautiful.
This is so rare! Either the rider must be a musician and a real genius in timing her aids. Or the horse can react to the music by itself! Absolutly amazing!
It’s the rider. You don’t want the horse to memorize the course or they will react too early and can mess it up.
Horses have rhythm and move to the beat
It's both actually, with perfectly prepared music, too!
Believe it or not it’s actually the whole rider doing this, a horse can’t naturally do this without aids, it takes years for this perfection with the horse and rider. It looks very simple and easy which is what dressage is exactly for, dressage judges look for riders with freestyles that look very simple and looks like the rider isn’t even trying but I won’t lie our butts are working so hard in reality which is most likely why people say we look like we aren’t trying, because we make it look so simple and smooth.😂
Probably a mix of both.
That was MIND-BLOWING!! choice of music soo good, and that extended canter just took my breath away!! Just BRILLIANT all round! What a score!! Congrats to Charlotte Fry and this well deserved win!! All the way from 🇿🇼

@On_Paws_and_Hooves. Np! Its always ok to fail if you correct it.
Glamourdale knew he was getting cheered for at the end. Amazing performance!
Horrible performance

What an absolutely gorgeous horse! Everything is SO right on him! And Ms. Fry rides him like she is part of him! That horse is the "find" of a lifetime as horses with all the aptitude and joy in performing its maneuvers!
his body language says otherwise.
Yes! Finally someone @@Junecleveq
@@JunecleveqFr he is NOT happy
That was magic, Seriously. Especially in the trot where I swear he was floating and forgot to touch the ground. Lol, I'm awed to the point where I'm shaky and a little teary-eyed. What an amazing team they are!

Poor horse 🐎 is suffering😢 look at the face and mouth, its 🤬😡👎forced to dance, pulling on the reins constantly is very painful in the horses mouth 😢
@@angelaschmalzbauer Yep, he is behind the vertical and all "scrunched" up. 😑
@@angelaschmalzbauer This horse is perfectly happy, he lives a great life. This is not western riding, we have contact on the bit and we don't have bellies in the reins.
@@angelaschmalzbauer If he didn't want to dance, he could throw a tantrum so...
When it's done so well. There's such wonderful choreography and beauty... it makes me want to cry. Not sure why. Dressage has that magic in it.
I’m growing my own dressage music business, and it’s so amazing to see Charlotte and her horse so in time and into the music. I’m genuinely speechless. I dream to be able to create this experience for people in the future😍😍
Crying my eyes out - not bad for someone not known to be emotional. Certainly a marvelous test - best ever.

Stunning. Glamourdale must be made of steel. So powerful.
WOW!!! Just wow. The two best things - other than Glamourdale fitting the music - is there is no wringing of his tail and her head is still. You see some of the head movements almost make one sea sick. Beautiful to watch again and again. Plus the crowd obviously enjoyed it, and his expression at the end!!
Well ofcourse his head is not moving if you pull it so close to his body that his neck grows stiff.
Horse behind the vertical, creating stress and being hard to breathe for him, broken gates and crampy back, just sad.
@@nearestbackyardlobotomy Finally someone who gets it.
Totally lost it and was in floods of tears by the end of this. I’m glad no one was home to see that. What an incredible performance.

Me too!
This is my first time ever seeing dressage, and I was so confused about why I'm bawling. It was just so beautiful. Glad to see that's the expected reaction haha.
I’ve watched this video so many times. What an amazing display of horsemanship 🔥
I am so amazed, at what a proformance, tears are flowing, what a beautiful horse, so precise, aquarit, disaplined. What a rider. What a team, keep it up, congratulations to all.

Charlotte is brilliant. Exquisite performance on the most beautiful horse. His name Glamourdale suits him!
Congratulations!
Watching them gave me goosebumps ,absolutely delightful ❤
this was awesome, I watched the first time without sound and it was epic showmanship but realizing how it had music and that horse and rider being so talented.. she deserved gold
I wish their was more extended canter in the routine...I had to keep re-watching those sequences...just breathtaking.
Not since the other Charlotte and Valero has a freestyle performance moved me to tears. Well done, Lottie.
apparently charlotte is a lucky name, lol /j
That does appear to be the case!
Valegro, not Valero, but same! Omg 😂❤
My mistake. Typing too fast!
Hope these moments of joy bring them happiness for years
WOW! Such control that horse and rider have! Amazing and beautiful.
Never seen such rhythm, that was amazing !
Oh Lottie! How Proud your Mum would be! (She Is) ❤️
I remember studying over and over her transitions, positions, and the way she'd whisper to the needed muscle of her horse. They'd glide into the next movement like perfect dance partners.
You can most definitely tell you are indeed Laura's daughter. You are a highly disciplined, quiet in hand and a very loving handler and partner. The thing I admire the most is the encouragement to keep your own good spirited cheekyness. *Your music compilation was Ingenious and truly Beautiful! Songs from when your Mum & I were hip. Lol (Or thought we were).
Your choreography was Insanely Amazing! The statement you two make as you come out... Literally seems to say. "Each one of you is biting the dust. So stand aside and watch how it's done!"
~ then they did~
Omg the extended center is something out of a fairy tale, absolutely amazing !
I love how some horses are silent in the front end and dance their hips with their back end showing off during the single flying change of leads. Then there are other horses, like her, dance in the front end and are silent in their back side. She had such enjoyment changing leads and with the music. Either was is beautiful when the horse is enjoying it. ❤❤❤❤ i just love this beautiful pair. ❤
Amazing!! Glamourdale has more rhythm and timing than I do!
I just want to stand up and scream this is just so fantastic
Absolutely stunning there's just no other word to describe it, the extended canter just took my breath away
Just puts a smile on my face from beginning to end. This is sooooo good
Wow, that was incredible! You’re partnership is amazing!
Yes, I’m crying. So beautifully done.
OMG. What a AMAIZING test I’m in love with the music WELL DONE CHARLLOTE AND GLAMOURDALE!!!!
*All the people who think this is okay, and the horse is NOT stressed, NOT in pain, NOT behind the vertical: YOU NEED TO WATCH IT AGAIN WITH NO MUSIC. TURN THE SOUND DOWN AND SEE IT WITH YOUR EYES AND NOT YOUR EARS!*
👍absolutely😢
Oh dear. Is there anyone who can change your wet panties for you, dear?
Why do ppl do this to these poor horses😢
all discipline CAN have abuse. however there are ways of training your horse to do dressage with 0 abuse necessary.
There are horses that are fine with doing things like this, you can see at the end of the video his ears are perky and he looks very happy. Performances like this need to have a willing rider AND a willing horse. If this horse wasn’t WILLING to do this, the performance wouldn’t have been even close to this incredible, although his ears are in airplane mode and the reins are short, he is just entirely focused. At the end the rider let him stretch and he got lots of pets and his ears were high the whole time after! He is well taken care of, unlike a lot of other horses in different places. There are horses who are soared and forced to lift their legs up high out of pain. Almost every rider you see who abuses horses aren’t even close to having DECENT riding skills. You’ll know an abuser when you see one. Abusers don’t have bonds with their horses, they have to inspire fear in horses to get them to do what they want.
Glamourdale is a dancer who just happens to be a horse!!! Incredible ride!
breathtakingly beautiful performance. Glamourdale was still often behind the vertical, but only very slightly.
Love his snappy, flashy action. Very nice extended canter. Well done!

If horses could do the tuzelity shuffle dances this horse is doing it. How beautiful ❤️
A crampy horse behind the vertical and open mouth mesmerizing, and the broken gates..
This is what I call proper dressage to music not just galloping round a school to music blaring out this girl the next Charlotte dujardin she amazing 🏴

the poor horse 🐎 is suffering that bit in the mouth is hurting when the reins are pulled constantly to much 😳 👎😡😠🤬
@@angelaschmalzbauer I'm no fan of the vast majority of modern dressage whatsoever, but things have definitely improved, Carl and Charlotte started what we're now seeing with Lottie Fry...compared to the excruciatingly heavy handed competitors , Lottie Fry is lightness itself ( for dressage). Improvements were very badly needed for years, for horse Physical and emotional welfare...this was actually a massive improvement, and Carl, Charlotte and now Lottie are responsible for current less harsh, less horribly restrictive riding, and all the future improvements from the more caring riders.
Beautiful and love how she celebrates the horse after❤❤❤
I could watch this a million time, it never gets old.♥️♥️
This brought me to tears. I’m thrilled at the beauty of the magnificent horse and amazed at the combination of horse and rider. I also want this horse to run at full speed across a field enjoying the power of his body.
Such grace..just outstanding!!❤❤
That horse didn’t even care the whole time. He was like prance dance prance dance dance prance. He was in his own world. Nobody could tell that horse anything.

What a beautiful stallion and absolutely amazing performance. Especially at the end when he knew he was getting honored.

Her horse is absolutely beautiful! What a beauty!
Me quedé maravillado de tan espectacular binomio.
Lo sublime del mundo de la equitacion es esto. Felicidades
Absolutely mesmerizing such an amazing team gave me goosebumps and tears
Didn't anyone see the look on the horse's face? That clearly speaks for pain, in addition he obviously "grinds" his teeth... I'm surprised that everyone praises it like that. The horse has been ridden everything as nicely. I'm not saying I can do better, but at least I can see when a horse is in pain. In addition, foaming at the mouth in this amount speaks for stress.
you are so right. The trot is often VERY broken beat, hanging back, hindlegs ''carry'' behind the horse and 2.-3. vertebrae highest all the time- it means that he is forehanded- because then the base of the neck is left down- together with the thorax. This is disaster riding- only his gentic moves are great.
@@vibeskouenborg6842 Thank God someone saw that, too! Can't can't believe that someone cries of happiness watching this disaster...
that poor horse 🐎 is suffering 😡👎shame on all of you including the spectators 😡 👎 the rider is very cruel pulling constantly on the reins , its very painful in the horses 🐎 mouth 😢
Love it, when people realy see what's going on. 👍
You obviously have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. That horse is loved more and lives better than most humans and he certainly loves his job. If he didn't he wouldn't do it so flawlessly.
When people make comments on social media about things they know nothing about... (as you have here) it shines a spotlight on their need for attention as well as the depth of their ignorance.
By the way, I am a 5th generation horse trainer, competitor (since the age of 4) and former world champion qualifier (multi).
I own a ranch in Texas and raise horses.
I know that of which I speak.
What that horse and rider "TEAM" just did was absolutely magnificent...!
FANTASTIC HE IS JUST DANCING.
What an awesome team they make! Hope to see them for many years to come!
wow this is truly incredible, the bond between horse and human is absolutely beautiful. this could bring anyone to tears!
Let's talk about the time heads behind the vertical still mattered
I loved your dressage that's my favorite dressage test ever seen on UA-cam!!!❤
Why do so many high level dressage horses look like their hawks are so sticky and about to burst? Looks aweful
Its like the horse itself was telling a story 🥰
Them two are absolutely brilliant!!!
Stunning, I have no words. Wow.
The horse looks very focused :O

Oh good grief! I’m bawling and smiling at the same time. 😩😁🤦🏼♀️. What a performance
Lovely, still riding. Good to see none of the riders legs flying backwards and forwards like a pendulum during the one-time changes. Beautiful test. Well done.
Her brilliant ride gave me goosebumps throughout. The horse was spot on. Congratulations to the best ride ever!

This breaks my heart 😢 it’s so sad how they are treating these horses
Me too. People don't even begin to comprehend how abusive this is. 😥
mane that is beautiful i love it

That horse alr
I want to talk about dressage riding and clarify that it is not abuse. Dressage riding is a highly advanced form of horse riding that requires immense patience, skill, and understanding of the horse's physical and emotional needs. It is a sport that promotes positive relationships between riders and horses and is widely regarded as one of the most elegant and challenging equestrian disciplines.
Riding a dressage horse is a fantastic way to improve one's physical fitness, mental focus, and communication skills with the animal. It requires the rider to be in perfect harmony with the horse, to mimic its movements and respond to its lead with grace and precision. This involves a high level of trust between both parties, as the rider relies on the horse's natural abilities to guide and support them.
Moreover, dressage riding is a highly regulated sport with strict safety guidelines to ensure the horse's welfare and the rider's safety. Riders are trained to work within a certain range of leverage, which allows them to maintain a controlled and comfortable connection with the horse. This balance of support and respect is essential for creating an environment where both horse and rider can thrive.
In conclusion, dressage riding is a legitimate and enjoyable sport that offers numerous benefits for both horse and rider. It requires dedication, skill, and a mutual respect for the horse's physical and emotional well-being. Instead of abuse, the dressage riding community values hard work, dedication, and mutual trust, which separates it from other less regulated sports.
