the kids in my old volunteer dept lok at you like your crazy when we talk about the old Scott Masks suitcase that there was actually a procedure to open the box hang the face piece on the corner of the box top before donning the SCBA and then you had to really give a seal check before screwing the face piece into the regulator and check the manual by-pass vale because there was no positive pressure. They were such a hassle that we never wore them
Did some research the newscaster who died in the helicopter crash. She was Nurse Murch in The Right Stuff, not Nurse Ratched. Just a little fact check for any other viewers. RIP to her
Great video as always guys. Even though there was no stream this week, this fills the void. I had a feeling that there was something from the Hashagen podcast was going to be number 1. Whether it was going to be the story with Bruce Newberry or the helicopter crash, but Hashagen is a living legend and his place at #1 proves it as such. IN regards to the Dan Potter story, I commented it when you had him on, but if you haven't heard the story of how Jean Potter got to E9/L6/S3 on 9/11, please go watch the National Geographic documentary on Ten House.
Great stories but you really need to do better prep work with balancing out the audio between everyone. Some guys sound a mile away while others sound like they are shouting through a megaphone. Its what seperates great youtube channels from just good ones.
Quit Nit picking about the audio! Ya Jagoff! These firemen are telling true stories of event that happen in their career as New York City Firemen. I heard everything just fine. The Gettin Salty Channel is the GREATEST Channel on UA-cam! Maybe you should get your hearing checked........BTW dont ever Criticize a channel about firefighters....... Enough Said🇺🇲🇺🇲
