Does this really work? I live in the Caribbean and would like to get some lemon plants. My parents have a lemon tree that has recently start to bear. I could try this.
Thank you for sharing. May I know what is your climate zone? Will this method of propagation work in mild temperate oceanic climate during summer or in a hot house during winter?
The best time to propagate lemon tree by air layering is during the spring or summer months. This is because the weather is warm and humid, which encourages root growth. Specifically, the best months to propagate lemon tree are: Spring: March, April, May Summer: June, July, August If you are propagating lemon tree during the fall or winter months, you may need to wait long time. Thank you!
@@ShafikulGarden Thank you for the tip. I will try your method in spring. I am in Ireland. I have successfully grown lemons and grape fruit from seed. I have them in big pots for two years already . Any tips on how to make them grow bigger! Thanks.
Tips for Growing Larger Lemon and Grapefruit Trees Great job on successfully growing your lemon and grapefruit trees from seed! Here are some tips to help them grow bigger: 1. Repotting: Timing: Repot in spring or early summer when the trees are actively growing. Pot Size: Choose a pot that is 2-4 inches larger than the current one. Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix rich in organic matter. Root Pruning: If the roots are circling the bottom of the pot, carefully prune them before repotting. 2. Fertilizing: Frequency: Fertilize every 2-3 months during the growing season (spring and summer). Type: Use a balanced citrus fertilizer or a general-purpose fertilizer diluted to half strength. Application: Apply the fertilizer to the soil around the base of the tree. 3. Sunlight: Location: Place your trees in a location that receives at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight per day. Rotation: Rotate the pots periodically to ensure even growth. 4. Watering: Consistency: Water regularly, keeping the soil moist but not soggy. Drainage: Ensure the pot has good drainage to prevent root rot. Check Soil Moisture: Stick your finger into the soil up to the second knuckle. If it feels dry, it's time to water. 5. Pruning: Timing: Prune in late winter or early spring before new growth begins. Purpose: Remove dead, damaged, or crossing branches. Shape: Prune to maintain the desired shape and size of your tree. 6. Temperature: Winter Protection: If temperatures drop below freezing, protect your trees by moving them indoors or covering them with frost blankets. 7. Patience: Time: Growing citrus trees from seed can take several years to bear fruit. Enjoy the Process: Enjoy the journey of watching your trees grow and develop. By following these tips, you can help your lemon and grapefruit trees grow larger and healthier. Remember, patience is key, and with proper care, you'll be enjoying the fruits of your labor in no time. Best of luck
How do we water them once a week since we wrap them with security. Is the water still getting through? I'm just curious... and also thank you very much for showing your tip ❤❤❤
There are a few different insects that might be munching on your lemon tree leaves. Here are some common culprits: Aphids: These tiny, soft-bodied insects suck sap from leaves, causing them to curl and distort. Caterpillars: There are a few different types of caterpillars that feed on citrus leaves, including the citrus swallowtail. They can leave large holes in the leaves. Citrus leaf miner: This tiny moth burrows tunnels inside the leaves, causing them to turn a silvery color. Slugs and snails: These slimy creatures munch on leaves at night, leaving ragged holes. To identify the culprit, take a close look at your lemon tree. If you see any of the insects mentioned above, you can take steps to get rid of them. Here are a few options: Natural methods: There are a number of natural ways to control pests on lemon trees. You can try spraying the tree with insecticidal soap or neem oil, or introducing ladybugs to eat the aphids. Insecticides: If the infestation is severe, you may need to use an insecticide. Be sure to choose one that is labeled for use on citrus trees and follow the instructions carefully.
@giovanybravo La cúrcuma en polvo quedará buena. La cúrcuma en polvo tiene propiedades antifúngicas y antibacterianas. El polvo de cúrcuma actuará como hormona de enraizamiento y promoverá el crecimiento de las raíces.

Cut zip ties, water and replace with new zip ties
The top zip tie was about one inch below the plastic to use like a funnel gently adding water

Dear viewers, please let us know if this has worked for you yet. And as soil or sand, you used? Thank you gardener.
Without that toilet paper it will grow
No, without ingredient it does not work
Clever use of toilet paper-better than soil 👏👏🦘🇦🇺
