Guillermo del Toro is one of those people who’s becoming better known for projects he hasn’t been able to realize than ones he has. In addition to his two games on this list there’s also his version of the Hobbit movies, his version of Pacific Rim 2, a third movie in his Hellboy franchise, and adaptation of HP Lovecraft’s At The Mountains of Madness, a Halo movie, and movies based on Peter Pan, The Wind in the Willows, Beauty and the Beast, Tarzan, and Disney’s Haunted Mansion theme park ride.
If by other channel you mean *name redacted* (The one with the lists) then you might like to know about the Vidiots channel they did last year and are still sort of doing in their spare time
That DOOM joke and reaction to it, and inSANE spelling, are Peter's redemption for not caring about FINAL FANTASY and not knowing how to pronounce Ivalice. I am a Peterphile
Theres one game I was really looking forward to but never got released and that was Battlebots for PS2 and Gamecube. It got cancelled when Comedy Central cancelled the show (Which was a shame because looking at the footage for it, it looked fun). A prototype of the game does exist and was realeased online back in April 2022. Though buggy, its pretty much playable and pretty damn fun.
Lord of the rings was interesting because game informer magazine later said we were planning on a exclusive story on the upcoming game and at the last minute ea demanded the story be scrapped. And a day or two later they announced the game was cancelled. And then that Tom Clancy game mentioned here really was a game informer cover story that was a game that never was released.
I'm a bit confused why it took a Kickstarter to release the rom. I'll look that up. Ouch. Only made $33k. Well, that's $20k better than most quality homebrews, and most of the money goes to manufacturing. There was a $10k tier, and a lot of tiers over $200 went unbacked / unbought.
When you realize Hideo Kojima is a big Shrek fan since he hired the score composer of the movie and the moustache man from the Puss in Boots to work on his games. Brilliant!
I still remember seeing am article about that Socks the Cat game in Nintendo Power. I thought it was a sign developers were running out of ideas. And I think you should have mentioned "Robotech: Crystal Dreams." I had the fold out poster from Nintendo Power for that game.
Now that I'm older, I know it's more about Super PAC money funding different types of media like Socks the Cat. Then the Super PAC money pulls out, and said media development collapses.
Probably canceled because too many people hated Wall Streeters at the time. Then race became an issue again, and nobody cared about Wall Streeters again.
Yeah, I'm a bit surprised the channel doesn't have more subscribers, and especially user comments. My "recommended videos" will be 90% this channel. UA-cam is really pushing it hard to me.
Freedom Fighters 2 is my most disappointing game announced but never released. Star Fox 2 would be in second but it eventually game out. (I spent more then a year with $50 in my piggy ban waiting for Star Fox 2's release before losing hope and buying Breath of Fire.)
"10 Cancelled Video Games That Never Saw Release" Ummm... As opposed to cancelled games that did get released? I um... I think those are just called games that never got cancelled...
VR still isn’t here on a mass scale. It was a niche waste resources for gaming. Until the release of a viable and affordable VR system it is just too early. Half-Life 3 probably got killed off by a VR title that nobody played outside of UA-cam. It eventually got released for regular users but by then it was too late. Nobody bothered. Not everyone will want to use VR. AR definitely. VR is dated.
I feel like VR is still niche. Although I see parents buying VR for their 4 - 5 year olds. All my friends with VR say the thrill wore off after 1 - 3 months. They didn't like having to put on a headset, and have the controllers, they'd rather just sit and play.
That Simon Miller impression is on point though.
and that's Ok...
Prey 2 got cancelled; Why? Here's why!
"10 Cancelled Video Games That Never Saw Release."
Next video: "Ten Dead People Who Died."

What about Star Wars 1313 Tiny Peter ??
#1 I'm so glad I found this channel. Peter and Ben have been sorely missed from the other channel. #2 Perfect Simon Miller impression.
If by other channel you mean *name redacted* (The one with the lists) then you might like to know about the Vidiots channel they did last year and are still sort of doing in their spare time
Love that cameo from Simon Miller at the end. It was nice.
Today I learned "Rainbow Six" was not a paintball game.

That was a real good list, and the jokes were great. Had many good laughs, thanks for brightening up my day!

@7:52 missed an opportunity to say DOOMED 4 failure....
EA: Cancel the Game
Killian Samuel? I can't help but feel like they were inspired by Samuel Jackson since he had been such an action star
I never realized the DMA guy was the letters DMA. To busy playing the game to notice I guess.
Doomed to fail.... I think you failed. Doomed "4" failure, was right there in front of you
Omg I just said the same thing but you said it a year before me!
You can't get more Gaming in the Clinton Years than Socks The Cat.

Lol the sarcasm about Del Toro... if only he knew then what he knows now! XD
Patriots seemed like an interesting if dark story.
When you realize Hideo Kojima is a big Shrek fan since he hired the score composer of the movie and the moustache man from the Puss in Boots to work on his games. Brilliant!
Ah the 90s. Back when I had a autographed picture of Socks the cat and when my metabolism still worked. Those were the days.
I still remember seeing am article about that Socks the Cat game in Nintendo Power. I thought it was a sign developers were running out of ideas.

Always enjoy a Simon shout out...
I’m still bummed about TC R6 Patriots
Probably canceled because too many people hated Wall Streeters at the time. Then race became an issue again, and nobody cared about Wall Streeters again.
This channel needs more traction. Subbed

can't get enough of Peter's Pums
the first RAGE was more of a proof of concept for Doom 2016. make a game almost Identical but be sure to give it a new name.
Damn, i forgot being hyped for Prey 2 in middle school since it was the first year I got my ps3.
Wish I could play GTA and GTA 2 again. I still remember buying GTA 2 from Circuit city, good times.
I do love learning about old concepts!
27.2.22
I wanted the getaway 3 we were promised when the ps3 launched
Fuck off with 'The Walking Dead's Norman Reedus'. He'll always be 'The Boondock Saints' Norman Reedus' to me.
Ok, a little bit of Monika got me.
Lists are always great bros
"Insane". Or "inSANE"! If you wanna get serious about this.
The Crossing by Arkane Studios! :(
Freedom Fighters 2 is my most disappointing game announced but never released. Star Fox 2 would be in second but it eventually game out. (I spent more then a year with $50 in my piggy ban waiting for Star Fox 2's release before losing hope and buying Breath of Fire.)

Socks the Cat was released.
To bad the new Duke Nukem from a few years ago didn't stay cancelled. >.
Well cancelled does mean it won't be released 😂
MGSR2? Scalebound!?
Scalebound is coming out on the Switch
I thought Agent would be number 1
I don't think it's been officially cancelled, though. Just in purgatory
@@timothyoswald8618 a fate far worst than death
