And yet millions of people buy those boring football games every year. The casual players that keep buying that crap each year are just as much to blame as EA is.
I'm mad EA turned down American McGee's pitch for a 3rd Alice game.
For real though!!!! Every year people are literally wasting $60 just for team update & maybe slight change in game mechanics or graphics that may or may not make the game shittier talking bout this game is better than the last fcking grow up🤣💀🤦🏽♂️

There was a Highlander game that was planned to be released, but was canceled. Absolutely breaking my heart. You can still watch the trailer on line.
Battlefield 1 is one of my favorite and definitely the best in recent years. Then BF3 and the Bad Company. I hope Dice gets it together because Battlefield is a very loved franchise.
Battlefield 1 had a great campaign, I loved the stealth dynamic.
With the amount of shitty games I have no clue why it’s still a loved franchise. There is more garbage than there is good 😭
G.U.R.P.S., or Generic Universal Role Playing System, was one of the best things Steve Jackson ever came up with...at least until the modern d20 system came out, it was the standard used in any type of RP world your GM could come up with. (felt that needed an explanation since you glossed right over it)

Miyamoto should make that an ending to a Mario game where he apologizes to all the Goombas for stomping on their head, and Koopas for kicking their shells, etc. and see how well that turns out.

In fairness it kind of was for the soldiers. Trench warfare was a massive waiting game with minutes of combat for inches of ground spread intermittently over months. They called it the war to end all wars at the time because they reckonized that it was the ultimate example of futility over a simple family feud.
Big shoutout to the folks at Dice who decided to stick to their guns despite their Executives initially shitting on the idea.

Actually, he didn't say WWI was boring, he said it would be boring for consumers to play. I'm assuming he meant older weapons being not flashy enough graphically.

Just because a lot of people died in WWI it's not automatically interesting. You're stupid.
As a somewhat casual Battlefield player, BF1 is undoubtedly my favourite in the series. They absolutely nailed the atmosphere, the campaigns though short, felt amazing to play. Graphically it still looks incredible today. The gameplay... well it was Battlefield, like I said I'm a casual player, I suck at the game.
I'm so glad Fire Emblem never got cancelled after Awakening. I only got into the series as of Fates and have absolutely fallen in love with the series since. Without Awakening's success I may have never even remembered the series existed. (I was vaguely aware of the series early on but never played it, and then forgot about it for years until Fates caught my attention)
I just love it when i click on a whatculture vid and it turns out Jules is narrating 😊
I feel WW1 shooter being boring is quite relevant today. BTW and WW1 series never have big player base. Plus in experience, I get bored so quickly for these game. On the other hand, Battlefield 1 is still alive even after many years passed, along with Battlefield 4 (BTW, RIP BF3 and BFBC2, while they're not my favorite, it's still sad to see them gone).
I love that instead of taking path like Verdun (WW1 shooter game) for more historical accuracy gameplay, BF1 made their WW1 shooter by combining Battlefield gameplay with WW1 taste, making the game unique. And it also raised historical inaccuracies in gaming, which also helped the game's sale, I guess.

Halo started as a space marine tactics game, but designers were rather bored with it until they added Warthogs, and everyone had more fun driving those around then any previous gameplay.

Me: Yeah, sure, nothing interesting happened, nothing absolutely horrifying, destructive, epic or badass happened in that war. Is not like thee were literal zombies rising once again to fight, or snipers going completely Metal gear Solid into the enemy's trenches, or the most famous plane fighters in the history of mankind, or desert raids, or soldiers having to survive avalanches in the Alps, or, you know, 'Thou shall not pass? Yeah, absolutely nothing important or interesting happened.
I had GURPS when I was a kid. (Which now that I'm reading that back, sounds like I suffered from a debilitating disease during my childhood.) The game was really fun. It was kind of like D&D but you could adapt it to whatever genre that you wanted or even mix them together.
In case you're wondering, it stood for Generic Universal Role Playing System. (I'm just explaining it, I'm not denying that it was a terrible name. Lol)

To be fair, Nintendo was a family-friendly video game company and he thought that if they released a game as violent as that, they'd lose their reputation as a family-friendly gaming company.

1. i guess nintendo didn't like the game since quite too violent but did fund a little before it took rare ltd. too long to make the game - but at the end, it was worth and good thing it kind of revolutionized 1st person shooters on consoles.
Its really the sad nature of business where they will find any way possible to not pay you what you are owned. They just like to take and take as much money as possible, but when it comes time to pay out, all of a sudden they get tight. I hope Hello dropped their insurance holder after that. I tried looking up the story, but couldnt find a continuation article that mentioned the insurance company past that.

WWI wasn't boring but Battlefield 1 certainly was. And I guess I'm in the minority who loved Infinity Warfare and hoped for a Sequel or spin-off of that universe...

I kind of wish in a very oblique way that Hello Games had not succeeded in resurrecting No Man's Sky. I have no animosity toward the developers or their work, but I think the industry as a whole took away the wrong lesson. Instead of treating it like a one--off exception that could be overcome with a lot of keep your head down and keep quiet; instead delivering overpromised, underbaked games has become the rule and you just freaking hope that a publisher or develop[er can be bothered to even give it a try to fix it once they've got your money.
