    Love your videos. I saved watching this one and part 2 until Christmas. It's like getting a Christmas and birthday present at the same time. Merry Christmas and thank you for being a bright light in a dark year.

      Your videos and craftsmanship are always inspiring. I'm just starting in fine jewellery and your workmanship is the level I strive for. I haven't made it to that level yet but I'll continue to try lol. Thanks so much!

    ... and beautiful and writing ..... who makes the straws?

    • @SilverMeister
      @SilverMeister  3 роки тому

      What straw?
      Are you referring to brass tubes?
      Because it has to be a precise standard,
      Order and use at a place where precision processing is performed.

      I do not have an official distributor.
      Currently, order production is only available in Korea.
      When you are ready to sell abroad,
      I will tell you through my UA-cam channel.
      I am so sorry !
      Thank you very much for your interest in my work and video.

    Question: Has the wood you use been resin stabilized? Also, why CA glue? I've seen you and a few other jewelers now using CA a lot. Aren't you concerned with its longevity? I use CA in a hobby capacity, and I've never had a CA bond last more than 2-3 years if I am lucky. Wouldn't an epoxy be better and last longer, especially under use?

    • @SilverMeister
      @SilverMeister  3 роки тому

      The wood used in this video does not require stabilization,
      It doesn’t work well even if I try to stabilize it,
      It is a natural tree.
      Not all trees are stabilizing.
      I use 7 to 8 types of adhesive,
      It all applies differently depending on the task.
      Epoxy... Is Epoxy Forever?
      It's not like that.
      Some of my other videos have used epoxy.
      There are many types of instant adhesives, and their applications are all different.
      Polyurethane glue is also used.
      Not all information you know.
      The way I work, there are reasons for doing so.
      If you don't like the way I do it, you just don't.
      My method has not had a big problem for over 30 years.
      It’s not about what you work with,
      Who does how is always more important.
      one more...
      Not everything is just what is shown in the video.

    Do you stabilize your own burl?

    • @SilverMeister
      @SilverMeister  3 роки тому

      The trees used in this video are not stabilized,
      It is just pure natural wood.
      I can do the stabilization myself,
      I leave the work to a craftsman who specializes in this.
      It is easy to get the best results only by the best experts.
